The one advisement I have is to not take a melatonin 3 tab if you have consumed any amount of alcohol at all in the past five hours. Even if it was a beer with a late dinner... the nausea I had was so terrible it woke me up and I had to sit outside in the cold and sip ice water for a few minutes in order to feel better. Avoiding alcohol in the presence of sleep aides of any kind is just good, safe policy anyway, but even small amounts may induce some pretty terrible feelings in your stomach. My recommendation is that if you've been struggling to sleep, exercise temperance for a couple of days while trying to stabilize your sleeping pattern.
