I received my order very quickly. I did notice that it did not have the tamper proof lid that is emphasized in the ad. I tried a tablespoon full in almond milk. It had no effect what so ever. I had decided to try the product as it was recommended by Dr Michael Murray ND as a good substitute for prozac. I can't help but wonder about the packaging as well as the lack of any effect
WOAH, I was blown away after trying this Kava. About 6 years ago was when I first tried Kava Kava. A friend of mine took me to a "Kava bar" in south Flordia and I have loved it ever since. If you don't know what it's like, I would compare it to feelings of relaxation, euphoria, and general nonchalantness (if that's even a word). Basically it brings out many of the sensations that we search for in prescription medication, and without any known side-effects. It helps me sleep better, relieves stress, totally alleviates anxiety, and noticibly reduces pain. All this without making me feel complacent while I'm on it or groggy when I wake up. You might even say that it makes you feel somewhat drunk but with none of the unfavorable results like dizziness, nausea, or waking up next to a wolverine.
Now onto this product in particular. Most traditional kava has more of a coffee-grind and must be filtered with a bag. This doesn't need a bag because it's fine-grind, just mixes right in. If you've never used kava before, don't waste your money on course-grind. It's a total hassle and makes a mess. It is less expensive but trust me, it's not worth it. Pay a little more and get this instead. One spoonful into an 8oz glass of tasty juice or liquid and it's chill-out time. This is the best kava I've had to date and it's relatively inexpensive for the amount that you get. It tastes like dirt, but guess what IT ALL TASTES LIKE DIRT! When someone critisizes the way kava tastes in a review, their opinion should be taken with a grain of salt because they are commenting on the wrong idea. The feeling is what's important, not the vaguely unpleasant 2 or 3 minutes leading up to it.
If you have problems with any of the conditions I mentioned earlier, try this. If you want a way to relax that is all-natural, try this. If you like feeling awesome, TRY THIS.

After a year of making from scratch(strainer bag,blender etc.) I stumbled across this stuff and all I can say is Wow,good job guys!This requires about 1/4 the amount which equals less money and much less time to prepare.This reached me in literally 2 days from Texas,and I still have plenty.It packs a relaxing punch and I always like making kava with spring water plus coconut milk and stevia for sweetener!

Kava tastes bad. Unless you're one lucky freak of nature, this is just a given. People take Kava because it is an absolute boss at knocking out unnecessary stress and even though you're chilled out, you can remain lucid. This means that it helps you get your work done because you're not occupied with things you can't do anything about at the moment. However, don't overdo it because it can, in excess make work too slow and you can get a bit spaced in a pleasant way. This isn't dangerous at all, just better saved for distinctly "relaxed" situations like social gatherings, bedtime, or when your in-laws visit = p I've found it difficult to summon the will to be angry on this when provoked, rather responding in an assertive, but very laid-back "good-for-you, but I just don't have it in me to offer a useful response." It's so awesome when somebody can't argue with you, even if you were willing, but that takes a higher dose. That's why I mentioned the relatives.
Taste: Try mixing it with orange juice. I've found this to be the best so far, making it far more palatable, though not tasty by any stretch. The fine grain mixes in very well.
Numbness? Yes, it will make your tongue and even your lips feel odd. No, you're not stroking out, it's just Kava = )
I like how this product keeps my tubing from tangling but as I need to change tubing, I pulled it apart when I tried to remove tubing from it. Not able to repair it. Had to throw it away after a 1 month use. I did purchase another one to see if it was just my fault or the product. I also ordered a different kind and I'm using it now with no issues in removing tubing when needed. It's up to you if you want to try this connector. It does what it is made to do, but unsure of it's stamina.
