It works, the taste is nice and it's pleasant to have a liquid version of a sleeping aid.

It says Diphenhydramine HCL right on the front of the bottle so I don't really think P&G are going out of their way to pretend it's a new solution. I like it, however it is preposterously overpriced when you could buy something like Generic Benadryl Allergy Diphenhydramine (50mg) 1000 Capsules for the exact same effect:

Consider one 12oz bottle contains 12 50mg doses at $1.49 each, vs. the 1000 pills I linked which are 0.01¢ each for the same dose.

3 stars, it works, its not a new idea, but the liquid is a nice format change and it fits in well with their Vicks Day & Nyquil brands.

When I worked in a high stress job, my friends and I used chug Nyquil to sleep at night. Never mind the cold and flu treatment, it put us to sleep. I still use it for occasional insomnia. So when I saw this version that omits the cold and flu meds, I decided to give it a try. It works as well as Nyquil and I can't help but think it is a little better for me. If you never took Nyquil to sleep, then I can see where this product might not make sense. But apparently there were enough of us doing it that the makers decided to go for a pure sleep aid. I'll be coming back for more.

I don't know what these other people are talking about in references to this sleep aid not working. I suffer from bad insomnia and brought this from Walmart. I have been taking it for two days now and have be able to sleep for 8hrs plus. This is a really good product. I assure you it is. I guess it works for different people.

I didn't have much faith in this product for my occasional insomnia, but I did know I've used Nyquil in the past with good results so I was willing to try. The first night using the product, I didn't see much difference in my interrupted sleep pattern. Still awoke in the wee hours and couldn't get back to sleep. However, the second time was better and the third night was the charm slept all through the night and woke up actually refreshed, for a change. These were non-consecutive nights, by the way. I hated taking a "sleep drug" but this stuff is not much more than a small shot of alcohol with a little antihistamine thrown in.

I absolutely love this product, ive always had trouble sleeping so i would take advil pm , tylenol pm, pretty much anything pm and after a a couple months of taking them they didnt work anymore i had to take more doses and instead of them making me fall asleep they just made me jittery, so i finally tried zzquil and i love it i take it in liquid form because the capsuls didnt work very well for me. The only reason i didnt give it five stars is because its suppose to be non-addictive and i havent been able to stop taking it ive tried to go one night without it and im full of energy until i drink it and i knock out in about 20 minutes.
