I took four of them they only made me drowsy. I took about a hour nape. Didn't work for me.

I've had frequent insomnia for as long as I can remember. Throughout the years I've taken lunesta, ambien, over the counter sleep aids (natural and chemical), even multibagged sleepytime tea. Some worked the first night and then not the second night. Some didnt work at all. Some of the OTC sleep aids made me wicked twitchy. Most everything I tried left me feeling like I drank too much the night before. About eight months ago I was up all night (for the second night in a row), so I put my daughter on the bus in the morning and drove to walmart to look for something. Thats when I found Alteril. I waited till that night, took two pills and feel asleep about two hours later. AMAZING!!! Different things work for different people, this product works for me. Every night that I take it, I AM ASLEEP within 2 to 3 hours. Most of the time I sleep through the night and when I wake up I generally feel refreshed. For me thats great. If I dont take it, I will not fall asleep until 4 or 5 in the morning (if I fall asleep at all). Its not so overly powerful where it would knock me off my feet if I were moving around, but laying down in the dark with a book or music playing in the background, it helps me drift away.

I think Alteril is great and works the best among OTC products, but the problem is that the description says Maximum Strength 60 ct (quantity of 2). However I received Regular Strength 30 ct (quantity of 2). Is this a joke?

I normally purchase this product at the local Big Box discount store, but this is a much better deal. I will continue to shop here for this item.

Gave it a major try but not terribly effective for me. Very disruptive dreams using it and kept waking up and trying to go back to sleep. Found I do much better with a couple of Benedryl or 3 aspirin.
