I just finished the entire box. So let me say, it worked 8 times out of 12. I took one pill every night and it took me 10-30 minutes to fall asleep. The times it didn't work was when fireworks were going off all night for 4th of july or i ate a little too much close to bed time. You cant have bad habits or anxious thoughts before bed and expect this to be a miracle pill. You really have to train your mind and body to relax before bed. I found that not watching tv or playing with my iphone an hour before bed helps me. Zzzquil is that push that makes me sleepy and stay asleep. I feel a little groggy when i wake up, but who isn't waking up at 6am? I feel refreshed when I'm at work and relieved that i was able to get a full nights rest. Wish it was cheaper though.

As others have pointed out, this is basically Benadryl. That does help one sleep, but to buy it in this form is pretty costly. It worked okay for me, and it knocked my wife out cold, but, again, I can take Benadryl for that effect too.
What I would like to point out is how difficult the blister packaging was to open. I have big strong hands, and it was frustrating to open the packs, to the point where I just used a scissors after a while. My wife faced the same problem.
At this price point, with packaging this frustrating, I'll pass on ZzzQuil from now on and just buy some generic Benadryl.

So I began to take this after having trouble sleeping for over a year. Daily exercise, a healthy diet, and a steady job helped, but I was still staying up way to late, even after going to work for seven hours and exercising for another 90 minutes. Picked this up whilst at Wal-Mart because it was fairly inexpensive. I'm over half way through the box and have slept marvelously ever since. The ONLY thing worth mentioning about this product is that ever night I've taken it I have had very long and detailed dreams. My dreams are vivid and I can remember them perfectly for days after. I rarely ever remember my dreams so there is a chance that this is a side effect of taking these pills. For me this is a welcomed side effect, but it may not be for others.

There is nothing about ZzzQuil that indicates it's anything different from your standard Benadryl. This is an antihistamine that makes you drowsy. So, on one hand, it can work.
