the concept has potential but is deficient in two critical areas as follows: contrary to the product description as being odor free it emits a strong chemical and synthetic scent. Obviously this is undesirable in view of the close proximity to the face. Even after airing the product out in the sun for several days the odor remains. I would imagine that this would be especially problematic for someone with respiratory issues but unhealthy for anyone. There needs to be a rethinking of the materials used. Secondly, the clearance between the mask shell and the eyelids is insufficient causing friction every time the eye blinks. Again a rethink is in order. Are any of the designers actually using this themselves? Lastly, I would mention that the costs seems exorbitant in light of the minimal material used. Profit is one thing but excessive is another.
First night of testing: Fits snug and comfortable. Blocked out all light. Blue light was very calming and tranquil. I fell asleep in about 10 minutes. But, I also use a "Sound Conditioner Sound Screen SleepMate Electro-Mechanical White Noise Machine" which is amazing by far and highly recommended.

Because I've had insomnia since elementary school I've given most potential remedies at least one try. The Glo To Sleep mask is soft and comfortable on my face, so wearing it through the night is not difficult. Focusing on sequences of the glow-in-the-dark blue bars really does empty my mind of churning worries and repetitive thoughts.
Did it solve my own sleep problem? No, but the mask is not to blame. The quality of this item is so poor that I found myself unable to get beyond the cheap plastic foam enough to relax. Or perhaps it was the offgas smell it emits. There is nothing I can recommend about it beyond the theory behind it. I suggest waiting until someone comes up with a better, softer, more rest-inducing design.

I was skeptical if this sleep mask would even work. But after several uses I do notice a difference. It hasn't worked every time I've been unable to sleep. But it has worked enough to make me glad I have it. I also enjoy using it for meditation and relaxation. The mask is comfortable to wear and offers great light blockage. The foam has a nice cushion as it rests against your face. The strap system is well done and securely holds the mask on your head. My suggestions for improvement would be to have the charge of the blue light last longer. Since I only have fluorescent lighting it takes a little bit long to charge. Different options of colored lights besides blue would also be interesting. It would be nice if the price came down a bit. If you have trouble sleeping or need help relaxing this is not a cure-all but a wonderful tool to have at your disposal.
