I returned this item because the lavender was so so strong and it gave me a headache..It was a different material then it looked like online..Online it looked silk and it was a cheap cotton and not worth the money.

This is a basic sleep mask. The description led me to believe that it was "cooling" after being in the fridge, but it's just like putting any old sleep mask in the fridge, it's cold for a moment and then warms up, this doesn't have any special qualities that keep it cool like a gel lining or anything.The fabric was coarse and cheap and hideousthe one in the picture was a bright lime green and the one i received was a brown and orange tropical print.

At first I loved the fresh, strong smell and the fact that it's a cold pack as well, but I found out after only a couple hours of use that the lavender bits inside can stick through the material! It's actually painful to squeeze it and it doesn't feel good sticking into your eyes either. It's possible I got a defective mask somehow, but it really does just seem like the size of the bits of lavender is such that they can poke through the mask fabric. I love this mask. I have used one for years and recently bought one for a friend as well. I always have it stored in the freezer so I can use it any time I need to.
