MagOx 400 Magnesium Supplement Tablets, 482.6 mg, 120-Count Bottles (Pack of 2)

MagOx 400 Magnesium Supplement Tablets, 482.6 mg, 120-Count BottlesMy naturopath recommended the Blaine Mag-Ox for my leg cramps which would wake me up often in the middle of the night. Sometimes the inner thigh cramps would be so severe and hurt so badly I'd want to scream. Other times it would be a combination of inner thigh and top of the shin as well around my ankle I couldn't even stand and when I did it was excruciating. I had been taking the Blaine magnesium earlier in the day but switched to right before bed. I take three magnesium tablets along with three chewable calcium supplements and voila I'm sleeping through the night without cramps! It's wonderful.

Sometimes the medical information you read on the web is dubious at best, and sometimes it is very accurate. I have suffered insomnia for years, and have been taking the usual medications for them. Even before I started medicating, I stopped even being able to get sleepy at all. A week or so ago, my medication stopped working. In desperation I looked on all sorts of web pages, and found an article about how studies have begin to show that the combination of magnesium and calcium have been beneficial to insomniacs.

After reading about magnesium's calming response to the nervous system, I went to my doctor (I was going anyway)and asked to have my levels checked. Even with the smaller dose slomag that I had already added, I was still low. Though this is the first day that I have been on MagOx, I am actually feeling tired on my own at the right time, and I do feel better.

The delivery does seem to be pretty effective, and I can't wait to see how it builds over time, and whether maybe I can stop taking prescription medication for good.

Here's to sleep, and the beginnings of relief from magnesium deficiency.

To be perfectly fair, since I am not using MagOx as an antacid, laxative, or any of its other non-dietary uses, I cannot claim that it works for those, and works well. Though I bet it would, as this is what my doctor recommend I take.

I've only been taking this for a few days but have already noticed a lessening of restless legs (creepy-crawly sensations in the legs especially at night). I had to experiment with dosage and time of day. At first I took two tabs in the morning but found that caused me to feel very sleepy and low blood pressure-ish during the day. But when I took them at night, I woke up a few times during the night (strange). So, finally I took two tabs in the morning along with 500 mg calcium/vitamin D and that seems to be working. That would make my calcium/magnesium intake ratio almost 1:1 instead of the 2:1 I see suggested sometimes. I have found in the past that if I take calcium by itself I feel more energetic but also less able to sleep at night, more anxious and of course, the dreaded digestive issues! I also think that calcium alone increases allergies, as I've read that calcium promotes histamine release from body stores (and magnesium decreases it). Hoping I have found what works for me but it's still early. Fingers crossed.

Mag oxide & B6 taken together dissolve & prevent kidney stones, & also increase urine output & pressure. I love it! ;-) I have to take this combo a few times a year. I take about 400 mg. mag oxide w/ 10-50 mg. of B6/ day. Google it, there's much more info to back it up! :-) I first heard about it over a decade ago by Dr. Clark/ curezone.
