As the night goes on, my children have more energy making it difficult to get them to sleep. I gave this product to both my children (ages 6 & 9) in hopes to get them to sleep earlier, so they would wake up earlier feeling refreshed and ready to start the day. The first night I gave them 1 pill each and they were out cold within a half hour. They were in such a deep sleep that it made me a little nervous. They both woke up feeling great, and ready to go. The next night, being a little nervous, I took 1 pill for myself just to see how it would effect me. I have to tell you that it knocked me on my ass!! I had a great night sleep, but feel it is way to powerful for such young children!!! I now give my children LESS THAN HALF of a pill, literally just a nibble and it still works great. I also take less than half myself and get a great night sleep. So yes, Ozzz Sleep Aid is a great product, but VERY powerful. Just be careful!!I have a 3 year old son that has always has trouble falling and staying asleep. He was recently diagnosed with Mild ASD or Autism, Aspergers, PDD-NOS...whatever you want to call it.
I am expecting our second child in a couple of months and decided to try this out. I only wish we had done it sooner. I only used half the recommended amount and my son took a 3hr nap (unheard of) and was asleep before 9, slept through the night and woke up at 8:30am. To help you understand the significance of this here is an idea of a normal day/night. 2hrs fighting to get him to take a nap (rarely successful) and 1-3 hours to get him to sleep at night. And 30 minutes to an hour to get him back to sleep around 12-2, then he wakes up a 5:00-7:00. Not only did we both get sleep, he was in a wonderful mood and much more cooperative. I checked the ingrediants suspicious on why it worked so well. Just Melatonin and Chamomile. Praise the Lord! I'm sold!!!I am so glad I found this product. I bought for my 2 year old who has so much energy and has never been able to wind down enough in the evenings to lay still in his bed. Before this pill, we were spending 2 hours in his room at night before he would fall asleep. Now, we give him 1/2 pill about 30-45 minutes before his bedtime and he tells us he is ready to go nite-nite. He lays relaxed in bed and falls asleep within 15 minutes of being in his room. We also use on occasion for our 3 year old, the same dosage and it works exactly the same. It is a great product, very gentle, I would definitely start out with 1/2 pill for the younger children. This product has helped us with his sleep training and has really worked wonders.I have a two year old girl who thinks she should never stop going!!! She is full of non stop energy and about 1 1/2 ago she started staying up until all hours of the night, Some nights she would even make it until 2 aM! I was so exhausted. I thought to myself, "OH GOD! What is she gonna be like as a teenager?EEEK!!!" anyways, She would stay up so late but wake up so early, and it was so hard to get her asleep for naps, but then she would take 2 -3 hour naps and almost impossible to wake up. I tried to cut out the naps or make them only 45 minutes, thinking this was our problem but NOPE!. What would happen is she would fall asleep at 8 or 9 but then....3 hours later she was wide awake like it was the middle of the day and she just had a nap and these nights she was up even later. I tried everything with this girl and nothing worked. I was even getting her to nap way early in the day, in bed by ten but then she would wake up at 3 AM ready to go!!!! you could only imagine the pain and suffering my husband and I experienced through this last 18 months. I talked to her doctor when this first started and he said it was a phase, but after a year or so I realized she was not going to get over it. I found this product online and read some reviews I also talked to some proffessionals, teachers, and peditricians about this and they said it was probably a melatonin inbalance and to give it a shot, it could not hurt her. So we did and it has been a month. We have a 8 month old and a 7 year old too so it wasnt easy keeping up with our two year olds sleep schedule, but let me tell you, this last month has been absolutely incredible!!!! at first, she did wake up in the middle of the night but was very easy to get back to sleep. After about a week, she was in bed by 9 every night until 8 or 9 the next morning and she would wake up lively, refreshed and in a great mood which was a big difference from her usually groggy crabby mornings. She is still doing great after a month and we finally got her on a consistent schedule, some days she naps, other days she doesnt, but the days she does nap, it doesnt matter how long or what time she is still ready for bed at 10 at the latest and she stays asleep alllll night!!! Another great thing about ozzzz's is she used to get so congested while she was sick with a cold she would wake up two or three times a night coughing so hard she would throw up, she still coughs a little bit in her sleep but it seems to keep her at a steady state of relaxation that it doesnt get too much out of control before. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANY PARENT is suffering from a child with a sleep problem. It is perfectly safe, all natural and easy for her to take, it can SERIOUSLY change your life and save your marriage!!!! haha. My husband and I NEVER fight about anything we have an AMAZING relationship and communicate on a healthy level, but LACK OF SLEEP can be seriously damaging to any relationship, we fought over things that would never bother us after endless nights of very little sleep, we also had VERY little time for each other or ourselves since she was awake from the time we got up until we were so tired we could hardly move, and our relationshop lacked intimacy for quite some time, but since we started ozzzz's we are back on track:) trust me it is so worth it and you WILL NOT REGRET ITMy 6-year-old daughter is just like me creative, stubborn, and worst of all, a night owl. Since school starts at 7:55 a.m. where we live, and the bus comes at 7:20, it was getting to be a real problem at home and at school. I was spending up to an hour on her bedtime and she would end the evening with a temper tantrum, not wanting to calm down and go to sleep. It was starting to get really frustrating.
I finally took my mom's advice and decided to try melatonin to help my daughter feel tired at the "right" time. So far, this stuff has worked great. The half tab approach didn't seem to work well with her (like I said, she's stubborn, and even though she felt a little sleepy, she'd "push" through until she seemed physically incapable of staying awake, sometimes as late as 11:30 p.m. on a weeknight, though her bedtime was 8 p.m.). With a whole tab (still under the recommended dosage, by the way), she is sleepy within a half hour. We do our bedtime routine, except now she just doesn't fight me on the part where it's time for lights out and sleep. Wonderful product that has truly helped us.
