Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Moisturizing Treatment, 1.7 Ounce

This formula performs I have been using Repechage for years and this cream locked more moisture into my skin after one application than my whole experience with pricey French-based marine cosmetics. It's not greasy at all it absorbs very well into the skin even the day time formula. My skin feels like a baby's butt (!) and it is healthier and cleaner. I'm so impressed, and very happy I tried it.

I have been using the Olay products since about July 2006 and am very pleased. I use the Regenerist Night Recovery Moisturizing Treatment at night on my whole face and neck, after washing with Dove Regenerating Calming Night Soap (liquid, navy colored bottle) and I use Olay Smooth Skin Exfoliating Scrub about once or twice a week at night. In the morning, I use Avon ANew Eye Lift Cream around my eyes and then Olay Regenerist Deep Hydration Regenerating Cream on my entire face and neck. I think this combo, particularly the Olay Regenerist products have made me look YEARS younger--with the grace of God, of course. I added the Regenerist Night Recovery about 2 months ago, and it made a difference for me. Lots of people at work tell me I look younger, too. My skin feels great! It's firm and velvet soft. And wait till I tell you, I have lost 50 pounds in the last 9 months! Why do you care? Well, my face should be sagging all over the place with that kind of a weight loss, especially since I carried that weight for years and my skin was well-stretched. I should need a crane just to hold the wrinkles up! Guess what??? It's firm and velvet soft. I won't say I don't own a wrinkle, but they are very very minimal. I've had people tell me I don't have wrinkles, too, but there are little tiny ones there hiding in the makeup. Oh, I'm 57, too--so don't think I'm 25 and telling you I don't have wrinkles like they tell you in those adds on TV. It smells great, too. I am sensitive to certain products with perfumes, but not this. No problems.

I am mighty pleased with these products, BUT, use them awhile. Nuthin' happens overnight, Hon! (We call everybody Hon in Balmer) (That translates to Baltimore).

Update March 2007. I switched the morning treatment from Olay Regenerist Deep Hydration Regenerating Cream to Olay Total Effects 7x. It is great. Super creamy.

Update September 2007--Still using same combination of products--still working great. Am 58 now and have lost 59 lbs and am still quite pleased with these products.

I've been very happy with the Night Recovery cream for more than a year. I've never experienced a product that moisturizes so well while appearing so greaseless. In fact, because of its matte finish, I no longer use Olay's Daytime Regenerating Serum which is also a great product, but is quite a bit shinier than Night Recovery. I bought four products from this line--the Regenerating Lotion with UV, Daily Regenerating Serum, Night Recovery Moisturizing, and the Eye Serum. After two weeks of use, I'm pretty pleased. I'm skeptical by nature, and I wonder if anyone notices the change produced by skin products like these other than the user. But, I think this stuff does make the skin around my eyes look smoother and lighter, and it certainly moisturizes without being greasy. I have pretty sensitive skin, and I haven't had any redness or irritation, and certainly no pimples. I also don't notice any scent. I find eye creams especially irritating (Clinique was AWFUL for me!) but the eye serum is very soothing. I'm pleased with the results and certainly the price!

Well, I spoke too soon about not having trouble with pimples. Lo and behold, about six weeks after I began using all these products I noticed a few dreaded little red bumps, plus one larger one right in the center of my nose. Ugh! I've never had acne, even in the worst of the teenage years. After much trial and error over a couple of months, I think I've identified this item as the culprit. I notice it doesn't say that it's "non-comedogic" on the label, which I think basically means it won't block pores. I haven't had an issue with the other items in the Regenerist line, though, so I'd continue to recommend them.

I suffer from post surgical back pain and was reconsidering further surgery because of the limitation the pain was causing. As a physician I have been a bit skeptical of Creams and Balms. Exuviance Introductory Collection Oily/Acne Prone

I bought this as part the introductory set for acne prone skin. I thought that it would jkust be another face wash that doesn't fix anything.

I have been using this product nightly for several years now. I, too, had a custom piece made by the dentist. I admit that it was a little bit more comfortable, but not $125 (my price with dental insurance) more comfortable. You will get used to the feel once you use it. Since using this product I have NEVER had it come out of my mouth, but that may reflect my own sleeping patterns/habits.

In my opinion, for the money it's well worth it. Just trim the plastic (I have even used a bit of sand paper to file a rough edge) to fit your mouth more comfortably. And no, I don't work for the company. Truly am happy with the product and have been so for about 4 years. The usual lifespan for this product (in my experience) is about 6-8 months. Then again, this is relative to your situation.

I subconsciously clench my jaws tightly while sleeping which is gradually damaging the shape of my teeth, the reason I bought this night tooth guard. The product seems to boast of one size that fits all which I guess is a misleading statement. I have a smaller jaw & this night guard keeps falling out of my mouth in the night. The edges also sting my gums, tried chipping them with a pair of scissors to make it a better fit (as recommended in its manual) but that didn't help, it still cuts my gums. I also suffer from night time nasal congestion which sometimes makes breathing through nose difficult for me so I breathe through my mouth while sleeping but with this product covering the whole of my mouth, it makes it impossible to breathe through my mouth. I am a severe grinder, and when I broke my $1,500 custom night guard, I bought one of these to tide me over till I could get a new one. That was five years ago and I never did get that new one. I wanted to get a new mouth guard because I grind my teeth at night, which results in waking up with migraines. I read the positive reviews on here, and compared to the other mouth guard reviews, this one was the highest rated. However, I believe this is very misleading.

The mouth guard is the "one size fits all" type, which is not a good thing since people's mouths vary drastically in size. Even if you cut it, as suggested, it is not going to fit. I have a small mouth, so this was way too big and uncomfortable. It also slid around in my mouth and came out of place easily, making me worried that I might choke on it at night.

The main thing that I really took issue with was how extremely uncomfortable it was. I used a sports mouth guard before I tried this. It had to be boiled and molded to my mouth, and the plastic was soft and bendy. This mouth guard was made of very hard plastic, was very rigid, and the edges were somewhat sharp and cut into my gums. I cannot imagine anybody wearing this night after night, even if it did fit perfectly!

I am going to continue to use my $0.99 sports mouth guard, even though it is too big, until I can find a better one. I just cannot stand the TotalGard one. It is awful.

I gave this nightguard a shot because of the reviews and finding most guards too bulky. I'm a small female, I have a small mouth and occasional jaw issues. All nightguards I have tried, do not work for me. I tried this one for 2 nights and basically I would wake up after an hour and take it out of my mouth as habit. I couldn't sleep on the side of my face with it in and it caused me to retain too much saliva. So, I really don't recommend this. I'm going to assume the best kind anyone can seriously get is ones from the dentist, but again, most of us will not cough up a couple hundred for something that will last only 6 months. Now Foods Melatonin

Melatonin is derived either chemically/synthetically, extracted from a plant, or extracted from the brain of an animal. Most melatonin you find in walmart etc, is a synthetic melatonin. Synthetic melatonin is not identical in molecular structure to natural melatonin. Some chemicals like this, can do more harm than good in the long term.

Just because this product is natural does not mean it should be used indiscriminately. In parts of Europe melatonin is a controlled substance that cannot be obtained without a prescription. It does work, it is a hormonal drug, and it is powerful.

Melatonin is a hormone that is produced by the pineal gland in mammals, which chemically interacts with your brain to help induce sleep. Melatonin levels with most people elevate when their eyes are exposed to darkness, increasing as their length of time in darkness increases.

Some people, such as those diagnosed with ADD, or depression, or a SSRI (selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor) , may have impaired uptake of melatonin, or their brains are not as efficient at using it, so a boost can be useful, especially in today's world where people keep lights on until 11pm.

I have taken Dramamine, and Tylenol PM, and generic sleep pills in the past to go to sleep while people upstairs were being noisy even with my ear plugs in. The problem with those is they loose effectiveness overtime, and you can form a dependance on them. Since Dramamine is an antihistamine it drys out my sinus cavity, also it is not a very natural sleep, it knocks you out when you first use it, but like all antihistamines your body gets used to it over time and it looses its effect. Tylenol PM and sleep pills both knock you out in an unnatural sleep where when you wake up you are still dragging 3 hours later until you get some coffee in you. And then there is dependance.

With Melatonin, you go to sleep in about 30 minutes after taking it, you might wake up a couple times through the night, but you will still be easily able to go back to sleep. And when you wake up, this is the best part, you really, really feel like you have a dang good sleep. If you are fully rested, melatonin will NOT keep you knocked out in a chemical stupor. You wake up like you never took anything. So if you are expecting this to force you to sleep in the middle of the day, it probably wont work. Also if you expose your eyes to light, you reduce your levels of melatonin, it would be like taking sleeping pills while drinking coffee.

Melatonin put me to sleep fast, it is a drug, and it does work, and there is tons of medical research to back it up. It is after all what your own brain already uses to facilitate sleep. It is non-habit forming, and does not loose effectiveness overtime. So basically it's the best thing to put yourself to sleep since it is what our bodies naturally evolved to use for that exact purpose.

It has the added benefit of being a potent antioxidant. Melatonin can cross the brain barrier to act on free radicals in your brain. Melatonin is a direct scavenger of OH, O2', and NO, which are basically oxidizers that can cause cellular damage and mutations. In some studies on mice melatonin increased their lives 20%.. and mice are not susceptible to the placebo effect.

I trust the NOW brand. There are a lot of really cruddy brands out there that have lots of fillers in them, like Natures Way sold at walmart. I have seen products at walmart in the vitamin section that have bull-adrenaline and radioactive metals in them, seriously. With natural products you need to be careful about what brand you buy, because they are not regulated by the FDA. Since they fall in the natural food category, the FDA doesn't feel it needs to do any research, since there is no profit for drug companies on the line.

I have bought many NOW-brand products in the past. They are all all-natural, they are all potent without any fillers, they all work, and they are all priced very fairly for the quality. NOW is a brand that is sold in natural health food stores all over North America, including Wild Oats, Sprouts, Nutters, and other well-known chains. And when getting a hormone based drug like Melatonin, for the difference of a couple bucks, I would not mess around.

If you let the vegetarian gel capsule dissolve in your mouth, it has zero taste, so you can hold it under your tongue for a faster response time if desired.

I'm a 205lb 6'2 adult male. One of these has me groggy in :30 min, while 2 will knock me out. If I sleep less than 8 hours, I will wake a little groggy, but it will clear up within :30 minutes. I sometimes have problems falling asleep after getting home at 11:30 from the gym (I wake at 6am) so I'll take 1-2 of these because temporary grogginess beats sleep deprivation!

NOW Foods Calcium/magnesium 1000/500 mg

In updating my experience with this Calcium/Magnesium Citrate powder, one must note that if you do have any form of inflamatory bowel disease, a little too much of this stuff [amount varies for the individual] will give you a very loose stool. While it is still best absorbed by people with Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns compared to other products, small doses are indicated, or else you will be staying very near the restroom. That having been said this is the best calcium/magnesium product and you get a half pound for just $6.00. On the other hand, people with chronic constipation get nothing but good from this product as it makes them very regular very fast.

If you need Calcium and Magnesium Citrate powder, this "NOW" product is an excellent and reasonably priced choice. In addition to the obvious, it contains a reasonable dose of Vitamin D [100 IU per Tsp.] as well as Calcium and Magnesium in equal quantities, which is important for treating certain conditions and for general health. It even tastes O.K., like mild lemon juice [citrate]. We mix 1 teaspoon into citrus juice with powdered Brewer's Yeast and Astragalus twice per day.

Of course if you really don't like the taste of this in any beverage or food, you can easily make your own capsules. Size "00", or "000" being the ideal as a therapeutic dose can be had with 1 or 2 capsules. One might ask, then why not just buy pills in the first place. The answer is simply this; why have the 3 needed nutrients adulterated with heat and fillers and in the process made less active and more difficult to assimilate?

This "NOW" Product is one of the few that offers both minerals in Citrate form. Many brands that offer Calcium Citrate sneak in Magnesium Oxide which in therapeutic doses can cause Diarrhea and is less readily absorbed by the digestive system, especially in older people or anyone with Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis.

While we are still pleased with this product I no longer plan to continue using it having Crohns, though my wife is taking it and having excellent results [she's normal I'm not]. I have found no acceptable alternative for myself but plan to make a hard target search in the literature.

I ordered one bottle with 240 caps. And the label said 80% Mag. Oxide, 10% Citrate, 10% Malate. Magnesium Oxide has low digestibility. Magnesium Citrate would be the better choice.

Bought this without looking to make sure it was gmo free. Bought NOW gmo-free lecithin--EXCELLENT product.(had to request that the Co-op store order gmo-free lecithin) Bought NOW gmo-free xylitol and have just re-ordered. Great product. Not only is this powder not gmo-free, it seems to be "hiding gmo content" because it is a calcium-mg. supp. It has a surprise-soy-derivative on the label. The supp. is not listed in NOW'S "COMPLETE LIST OF GMO-FREE PRODUCTS" on NOW's website. It has this dorky rating from some rating organization, which they proudly display. Its a "GMP" seal (not finding a gmo free indication saying otherwise, I thought it was for "genetically modified product" at first when it got here). I forgot to include this product with my other order I made the same evening, paying by mistake for standard shipping. This product is going back in the mail, still sealed. The soy or its possible infusion with herbicide may be why some are having problems with loose stools. The rest of the formula for this powder is "to die for", I think. I'm a 66 old lady (ha ha), still trying to exercise regularly, and have felt that mg. in the past has helped leg pain after. Now I need calcium also to combat a tired back, and hoped to get everything I need in a powder. Think again. Already have large capsules (triple OOO's)if it won't dissolve. Really thought that it would NOT be gmo, like so many other of their great products. Wouldn't be so grumpy---if we were not trying to volunteer to get the labeling initiative passed here in the golden state so gave it 2 for trying, and because it was bargain priced, instead of 1 star--LOL (No bargain)

I like NOW Vitamins, unfortunately the description did not mention that it has Vitamin D in it. I have to take prescription D so can't take this.

I used to take these regularly a few years back. I had trouble finding this brand and they were hard to swallow anyway so I found something else. I like this mix of B with calcium and magnesium so when I ran accross them at Amazon, tried them again.

But now 4 or 5 years later, I can hardly swallow them at all. So I grind them with my flax seed for my morning smoothie or in a mortar and pestle and add them to yogurt.

So they're big but they have good stuff in them.

"unscented" yet contains fragrance with the disclaimer **for masking purposes only. The ingredients are listed in the Amazon description so it's not a surprise. I'd generally shop for unscented products to avoid fragrances. While this product omits the fragrance of pleasant aroma, less scented would be a better description for this product than unscented.

I had always used Huggies natural wipes but decided to give this a try since they were around the same price and this ones had aloe. Bad choice! They are sticky, scented and kinda slimy. When you take them out of the tub, instead of only one coming out, it was more like 3. Most of the time the other two were shoved back into the tub since I did not want to waste them but that just made it harder to get another wipe once the shoved ones were used. In general I do not recommend.

I usually use the unscented wipes but ordered these thinking they were the same, I did not realize the aloe would make the wipes so sticky, they are no good for wiping hands and face when out b/c they leave his skin very sticky (and mine since I use them to wipe my own hands a lot). I am holding the rest of the box for use on our newborn instead as she will not need them for hands or face only bottom wiping and the aloe I am sure is great for helping heal diaper rash bottoms.

I just make sure I get the regular unscented now without the aloe.

If you're going to call something unscented then it should actually be unscented. These wipes have fragrance added to them-it's just not as strong as the fragrance added to the scented wipes. While it's true that you could find out that these have fragrance in them by reading the ingredients who would think to do this when the box says unscented on it in big letters. I contacted customer service about this and was told that the only Pampers Wipes that are completely perfume free are the sensitive wipes (and all Pampers diapers have fragrance added to them except for the premie size).

Even putting aside the issues with the fragrance I still didn't like these wipes. I found them to be thin and rough with way too much of the cleaning solution. The only positive thing I can say about these is that they are less expensive then some other brands of wipes. I think its worth it to spend the extra money for better quality wipes such as Huggies.
