Relaxso Stereo ASLEEP Pillow Speaker, Micro Fleece Violet

This is the third pillow-speaker I've owned.

The quality of the pillow and the speakers is top notch. There is just enough padding to make the speakers comfortable, but not so much the sound is obscured. The Pillowsonic Stereo Pillow Speaker, by comparison, has thin foam padding, and the Sangean Pillow Speaker (White) has none. (The Sangean is a thick plastic rock.)

No complaints about sound quality. The nature of the padding allows you to move around quite a bit and still hear the sound. The Pillowsonic and Sangean have a lot of dead zones where the pressure of your head or the pillow mutes the speaker.

My only gripe is that the cord is ridiculously short and cheap. It barely reaches my iPhone on the nightstand. Twice now I've snagged the cord as I was rolling over causing the phone to leap into the air and smash into my head. (It's in the drawer, now, but this means another snag will probably pull the cord apart.) The cord itself is extremely thin. and bends 90 degrees at the jack. Higher quality cords have strain relief to make the cord bend in an arc instead of sharp angles. (Sharp angle bends break the wire)

If you are handy with wire cutters, I strongly recommend an extension cord: Aurum Cables 3.5mm Car Stereo Auxiliary Male to Female. It will improve usability and may extend the life of the speakers.

[UPDATE] I DON'T recommend that you cut into the pillow to completely replace the wire. Inside the pillow is an unexpectedly complicated layering of foam and cloth. You'll never get it back together properly. I completely destroyed one pillow trying this.

Super comfy. Good sound. Can hear music and books easily. I use it w my Droid phone & it works perfectly. The cord is medium-ish. I could put the phone on a nightstand but I'm sure it would be pulled off in the middle of the night when I flop around. I leave the phone next to my pillow on the bed and it works perfectly.

I'm cheap so I though $18 + $5 shipping was a bit steep but it's worth it because I sleep so much better without a cord wound around my neck chocking me in the middle of the night.

Not alot of options out there for something like this. I am SUPER happy w this one & will definitly order again when this one goes to the great speaker in the sky.

I have used pillow speakers for years to lull me to sleep. I have tried cheep ones from Radio Shack as well as a better one from Crane. This one is the best for several reasons. It is not one speaker but two which provides stereo sound. The bass is reproduced quite well for a speaker this size. What I really like about it is that the speakers come in a thin "pillow" that, once in place, does not shift around. I added additional cord with a volume control for my own ease of use. The cord provided is a bit short but the solution is cheap. I highly recommend this pillow speaker.

Update: though they sound great, i found that the wires are easy to pull out and i'm now ordering another type of piloow speaker. this one didn't last a year. I also found that the fixed position of each speaker was too wide for my head. would not recommend.

I was considering making my own pillow speaker as I had done long ago, but after reading the reviews and comparing to other products, this seemed to be what I was looking for and it is even better. My home-grown solution previously was just a single speaker but this gives you stereo sound (although since my wife is a light sleeper, I can't use that at night due to the extra volume needed).

The speakers are fairly comfortable and don't add too much bulk to your pillow. I slide mine under my pillowcase to keep it in place better. I typically listen to just one speaker at a time at low volume at night and it works great for that. I read other reviews about the quality of the cable and plug but I don't see any need for it to be any different. Wearing headphones at night, I would often break the headphones tossing and turning, but with this solution your tossing and turning doesn't tug on anything so there isn't any risk of breaking the cord under normal use. Just put your mp3 player under your pillow and all stays in place. Perhaps the cord could be a little longer, but it is sufficient for most needs. Any extra needed you can just buy an extender.

I actually like the simple but ingenious elastic loop for coiling the cord neatly when storing or traveling with the unit as well.

Clear crisp sound from this wonderful pillow speaker. Dual speakers encased securely within fabric, approximately 12" x 5". What I love about this specific pillow speaker is that its flat! No hard bump under your pillow. I have bought other pillow speakers from other companies and although they have worked well, they were extremely uncomfortable under the pillow. No matter how you laid your head, you always could feel the exact spot where the speaker was due to the rise in your pillow. Not so with this brand. Flat, encased nicely in a thick material, and the length of this speaker fits expertly under or within your pillow case. The sound is crisp and the dual speakers sound great. The down side of this item is that the cord is very short. However its a universal jack plug-in, so I simply lengthened it using my cell phone cord as an extender to my bedside stereo. You will not be disappointed with the comfort and sound of this product.

BathDlight Spa Gel Eye Mask

We've gotten a product like this before that was a sinus mask instead of just the eye mask. The sinus mask had the plastic wrap all the way around the head with a clip to tighten it. This product has a cheap elastic held on with little metal barbs. On the first use, the metal barb broke off so we had to tie a knot in it. The elastic makes it pretty tight against the head, especially if you have a big head like me. It's something that can be worked around, but a little inconvenient.

Other than the strap around the head, it works great. It stays cold for quite a while.

THE GEL EYE MASK IN OF IT SELF WORKS WELL. BUT THE ELASTIC BAND IT CAME WITH WOULDN'T FIT OVER A CHILD'S HEAD. I CHANGE THE BAND TO FIT, AND I USED IT WARM.

IT FELT NICE AND IT WAS VERY COMFORTABLE ON MY EYES. I WILL USE IT OFTEN.

I was expecting a larger ask it really only covers your eyes well, not so much the area around it. Additionally the band is very tight I had to make my own adjustments. I actually thought maybe it was a kids mask, although I've never seen one like that before. If you dont have a large head, and just want it to cool your eyes (if you get headaches) it works perfectly.

Bed Wedge-Foam Wedge Pillow. Good for Acid Reflux, Snoring.

I searched for a while comparing different bed wedges and decided to give this one a try. I'm glad I did it's great! The price is good, compared to others, the shipping was fast and the wedge is pretty firm. I would think for a wedge to be effective it should be firm. This one also comes with a pillow cover for it, so there's no need to buy it separately, which I've seen quite a bit on other products. This can still be used with a pillow and the best thing about it is that it keeps its shape and doesn't sink down. Well worth the money!

I bought this after using the 12-inch wedge, which is uncomfortable to sleep on. Both the 7-inch and 12-inch do work for acid reflux, though the 7-inch doesn't work as well because you will tend to slide, making the elevation insuffient. In addition, they are not ergonomically designed. The main problem is the lack of lumbar support. The human spine is not perfectly straight. You need to put a rolled towel under your lower back to feel comfortable, otherwise you'll find yourself sliding down toward the bottom of the wedge in the morning. Prepare to get lower backaches. Also, this is not designed for side sleepers. I'm going to try stacking something under the head of the bed instead.

I ordered this for my mother who has a breathing condition. It elevated her enough to make a real difference. She was struggling with five pillows before and was able to go down to one. If you just have some mild reflux, this may be too high, but for someone who is sleeping in a chair because of breathing difficulties this is just the ticket. Comes with a soft cover so you are not right on the foam. This made a big difference for my mother and she can sleep in her bed again.

I suffer from Acid Reflux and my doctor recommended elevating the head of the bed or using a bed wedge. I tried pillows and found them to be very uncomfortable. This bed wedge works as advertised but is a little too short (length) and narrow (Width). This makes it a bit uncomfortable, specially on the lower back and arms. Its a great improvement from using pillows to create an incline but my arms hang down the sides and I had to add to the length by using pillows in the end. Based on the wear patters on it now I anticipate having to replace it in 3 6 months.

A longer and wider bed wedge would be much better. I found a wider and longer bed wedge online and intent to purchase it when this one wears out.

Pros:

Better than using pillows to create an incline.

Comfortable if you have a small to medium upper body frame.

Cons:

Too short (Length). I had to add to length using pillows in order to be able to use it comfortably without back pain.

Too narrow (Width)so arms hang down the sides.

Only one pillow cover.

Wear pattern after one month of use leads me to believe this wedge will have a 3-6 month life span.

Flimsy zipper on pillow cover.

If money is an issue this will do fine. If you can affort to spend $150-200 there is a wider, longer, better constructed pillow on the market with a longer warranty.

UPDATE: March 5, 2011

As I suspected the foam has compacted and is now uncomfortable to use. I will be replacing it with another product. Don't expect it to last for more that 3-6 months.

The fact that the eyes were so uneven was a huge disspointment, there is obviously no quality control from this manufacturer. My daughter was so excited to receive this for Christmas because she is a HUGE Breakfast at Tiffany's/Audrey Hepburn fan. Then we noticed the blue eyes were so uneven the mask looked ridiculous. It's the closest replica to the sleep mask in the Breakfast at Tiffany's movie. However, I do not like the fact that the tie was already tied making the mask tight when putting it on which makes the mask mash up on your face or maybe I just have a big head, ;)

Doesn't open your passages as good as the on top nasal strips, but still work ok. I guess if you can't use the top of. Nose strips these are good analogs. There is a rubber connector strip between the two so be prepared to have the equivalent of a rubber band between your nostrils.

I tried this, but didn't like it... felt too greasy. I do, however, like the L'Oreal Paris Advanced RevitaLift Complete Day Cream, 1.7 Ounce (3 Pack), so I went back to using that. This is also too expensive, in my opinion, for me not to be satisfied with the way it feels. I also had a few pimples with it, and I'm over 50, so I feel it clogs the skin. I don't have that kind of product with the aforementioned Day Cream, though; just with this night cream.

I was skeptical when I saw these, but I was desperate to find a better fit for my CPAP mask. These RemZzzs didn't let me down! No more leaking and air blowing in my face! I used to get about a month's good fit from my mask before the silicone started to break down (I have oily skin). No matter how I cleaned/washed the mask, the seal would fail. Now, I use the RemZzzs liner and no more leaks. My mask is serviceable and I wear my CPAP more. No more ripping it off in the middle of the night. The liner was a little strange to get used to I found it tickled my nose a bit at first. But hey, if you can get used to wearing a full face CPAP mask on your face, this little liner is a small thing to overcome!!!! I highly recommend these to all CPAP mask wearers. I was actually with my medical supply guy when I asked about something to help with the seal. When my mouth opens my lower jaw not only goes down, but it also goes back towards my throat. This creates a major leak and the chin strap wasn't stopping it. So my Rep doubtfully produced the Remzzzs. I haven't had a leak since! These little buggers are worth the money!

I am a new CPAP user (started December, 2010) and was finding it very difficult to get my full face mask adjusted so that it was reasonably comfortable and not leaking. I was constantly fiddling with the straps to get things right. These liners worked for me from the first time I tried them. Noisy air leaks are greatly reduced, and I am sleeping much better.

My only complaints would be that:

-They are relatively expensive, given that each is just a simple piece of cotton. I tried putting a bunch of them in a mesh bag and adding them to a load of laundry. They survived, but are a little stretched. Still usable though, so I am at least two uses per liner so far, cutting the cost per use in half. Hopefully they will still be usable after a third wash too.

-After approx 5 hours of use the liner gets a bit damp and stretches, leading to increased airleaks. Not as severe as I was seeing without them but a little annoying. I suspect this will vary greatly from person to person, depending upon your humidity settings, etc.

I will be ordering more when my current batch wears out, and do not expect to ever go back to using my mask without them.

A very good product; however, use slightly increases the "leakage" of air around the seal. For me, the leakage was a minor issue compared to increase in comfort, reduction of redness on my face, and reduction of the compression to the bridge of my nose. Be advised that until you get the hang of it, you may find it bit of a challenge in the dark to reposition the liner and replace them mask after removal for a nocturnal bathroom break.

I use these with a Sound Oasis system and they work beautifully! The pillow I have is a special contour shape, and they fit perfectly underneath. I haven't tried them with an ordinary pillow. The sound is clear, natural, and I can easily adjust the volume. I just purchased 3 more sets along with sound systems for Christmas gifts for my office staff.

Now I can listen to my radio, stereo, iPod and not disturb my husband. I have a special orthopedic pillow due to neck surgery. I just unzip the covering, slide the speakers under the pillow. Close it up, plug it in to whatever device I chose and I am in heaven. Now, I can take the speakers with me when I travel. I have a difficult time sleeping on strange mattresses but with speakers and one of my "toys" I can be lulled to sleep in a matter of minutes.

Under the pillow speakers with"volume control" Not. Well the first thing is,the sound is way to low when under the pillow. Even with my hearing aid. Can not ajust the sound, volume is as my T.V. only the % as the t.v.

(2) Should have been made a little bigger,thinner/flatter.

(3) And would help a lot if it was made with some kind of coveing that was

soft, padded and flaxsable. Not very happy with it. Only about 40%.

I honestly have used these just about every night since getting them for Christmas. I use them for listening to music while going to sleep or if watching a movie on the iPod. I set the sleep timer for a few hrs and put the iPod on the nightstand. I don't bother taking them out of the pillow until the morning since I fall asleep to the music. This is my first pair of pillow speakers so I don't know what I'm missing from the other types out there, but would not think twice about getting these again.

Why I would buy these again:

this speaker set is loud and sounds great. They can get almost too loud when I listen to them using an iPod Touch. I set the dial on the speakers all the way up then adjust the sound on the iPod to the loudest I would want it. Afterwards, I use the dial to adjust the volume while listening. The reason being is one night I made the mistake of cranking the dial all the way up while half asleep and nearly jumped out of bed.

wires are long and thick. I've heard of some other speakers having frail wiring, but this one remains solid after months of nightly use. I turn quite a bit so I have the speakers and wires inside the pillow case. I don't worry too much about how tangled the wires get knowing that they are pretty solid.

Why I may take a chance on another type:

I mentioned the cord is long which was great for setting the ipod on the nightstand, but the cord between the 2 speakers are on the long side too. I can position the speakers where I want and still have extra wire which tends to get a little tangled. This would be a plus if you wanted to share the other speaker.

when I use a thin pillow I can just about feel them under it. They are rounded very nicely so I don't feel any edges, but I do feel the lump under the pillow. Granted my pillow is very thin and I don't notice it at all when I use the better pillow.

I would love to get this pillow speaker with iPod controls. I use the Touch with these and if I want to skip or rewind I have to grab the Touch from the night stand.

I've been On & Off this drug for a while, & for the most part it has helped me out alot. Been on it for at least a month or more. When I took it for the first time I had much less Anxiety still stressed out though. I could actually speak a bit more during my sessions but I do believe this was mostly cause I was seeing a Psychiatrist. Did not help with sleep however. When I took 2 for the first time, I was out waiting for the bus in deep thought & all of a sudden I burst out laughing thinking about bad stuff in my past.

I actually had to go some place else cause I couldn't stop laughing, the effect was too strong & I didn't want to make a fool of myself. These were negative thoughts that I was actually thinking of most of the time, when I think of these thoughts I'm not in a good mood. Strange effect however this did not happen again it lasted for about 10 min.

When I took 3 I don't remember the effect most likely the same, less anxiety & still stressed out. Four is when I felt great no anxiety & very little stress, even though I was in a very good mood my focus was not there & I still couldn't do the things I enjoyed best.

Taking 4 makes me hyper (even though I am already sometimes when I'm in a good mood). 3 seems to be the sweet spot but I'm more stressed & have more anxiety. It's a trade-off & something I'm going to have to fight if I want to continue using this drug. I do notice that this drug seems to be stronger for me when I continue to take it instead of an ON & OFF basis. I wanted to try a different supplement so I had to come of this one.

The last time I took this before coming off I had a bizarre reaction. I was starving this day & I decided to see my parents. I never had any breakfast or lunch. During my ride I noticed I had alot of energy was not feeling a bit hungry as though I just ate at a buffet or I was on some strong weight loss pills.

Come to think of it I noticed I did lose some weight when I was on this drug. What's stranger though I kept thinking of sex & was hard as a rock. This did not last long about 1/2 hour then diminished. I came off for a month or more hoping to try something new which would help but did not.

I came back on & noticed the effect from this drug was not as strong. Before it would continue on to the next day, now it's lasting for about 5 hours. Took 1 in the morning & got some good sleep. Next day took 2 felt hardly nothing. 3 was interesting started strong for about 20 minutes, then decreased & I was almost back to my hyper self. 4 (which is the day I'm writing this review) feel great was going to go outside but it was raining so I decided not to & I don't plan on updating this review.

I notice it's good to take this drug on a empty stomach or I notice the effect isn't as strong. My batch of drugs are almost coming to a close & I don't plan on getting anymore. I read elsewhere that people take this once a month (most likely to avoid addiction or to keep the effect strong) honestly why buy this if you plan on taking it rarely & then to look for another drug or supplement (whatever you want to call it) that is as strong to compensate this drugs effect is mind puzzling.

For those Anemic people out there 1 capsule should be enough for you but for a Resilient person as I 1 capsule ain't gonna do it. My batch will be ending quickly so I'll be paying more. For those who think this review belongs on a blog well what can you do. As with all the supplements I have tried my body has adapted to them quickly meaning it has no effect on me no more. This one is taking much longer for my body to get used to it, which I give it credit but kind of don't cause I have to take days off, for my body not to get used to the drug, meaning it will lose it's effect once it has. All in all this a great drug that would work for almost anyone even though the effect from this drug on me is coming to an end.

Nights can be hard for her, but it is not advised to give sleep aids to a child. I understand this but sometimes you have to give relief where you can. I would give her a half of an advil pm but that made her groggy and hard to wake up. I tried one of these super snooze on her and the one capsule was too much. Gave it to her 2 hrs prior to bed along with her intestine supplements without telling her that I had given her something. No bIg dramatic 'oh my goodness I feel so sleepy' and then clunk she is out, just a natural time for bed sleepiness. We only use occasionally when we see there might be some pain issues in the night. This helps us avoid having to give her advil to manage the pain....anti inflammatories help her pain but are ultimately bad for her gi issues. Catch 22, right? If she has had a tough week and has needed it more than a couple of times, on Friday and Saturday night I let the kids stay up as late as they want playing/reading until she fallsl asleep naturally. This breaks her cycle of needing it.

I want to note that my daughter has improved SO much this past year and it is in part due to the fact that I have done a crapload of research and have learned about supplements and foods that heal as opposed to just giving my child harsh drugs the drs try and throw at you. They want to manage symptoms but I am looking at long term healing. The drugs they want an 11 yr old to take! They grudgingly admit when I bring her in that she has healed much faster than they expected. You know what else helped? Reading TONS of reviews here on amazon from people who have tried stuff, see what works or doesn't. There are alternatives ways to heal. I know it is easier to just hope the doc writes THE prescription that will make it all better but that is not always the case.

I take melatonin regularly for sleep and I thought it would be great to have it on subscribe and save. It does not indicate in the description that it also has vitamin B6 in it. Each 3mg tablet has 500% of your daily requirement of vitamin B6 in it. Which means if you're like me and take at least one a day you're going to quickly run into far more B6 than your body needs.

If you only use it (melatonin) occassionally I'm sure a little extra B6 never hurt anyone but if you take it (melatonin) regularly I wouldn't recommend this formulation.

... my friends and family agree make sure you don't have to get up for at least 7 hours! We've all noticed that this stuff will leave you groggy the next morning unless you've been able to wake up naturally; naturally with Melatonin = 7.5-9 hours from my experience.

I started with Coenzyme Q10 and started noticing an improvement in sleep and deep breathing (I have asthma) almost immediately! Upon further research, it sounded like Ubiquinol was a better option since it is absorbed better. I was still sleeping great on it dreaming more and waking up more refreshed but I started noticing my asthma seemed to be getting worse. I was having a harder time getting deep breaths and I started wondering whether I was having a reaction to it. But I wasn't having any other symptoms that I knew of, so I was unsure. Plus I take other supplements without any problem. I stopped for a couple days and then tried again and an hour and a half later had a hive show up on my neck! My throat also felt like it was getting tighter. This pretty much proved to me that I was having an allergic reaction. I emailed a doctor who had a lot of experience with Coq10 studies to get their opinion and they said it was possible I was having a late onset allergic reaction (although now that I think about it, the reaction started almost right away just not strong enough to be obvious) and if I was, to switch back to the Coenzyme Q10 Ubiquinone since it's made differently. I am VERY happy with Coenzyme Q10 in general along with Magnesium it's completely stopped my heart palpitations and the difference in sleep is awesome. I used to sleep at least 9 hours a night and still feel sleepy by late afternoon/early evening. Now my sleep must be more effective because I'm not getting sleepy that early and never need weekend afternoon naps anymore. I'm grateful that I can switch back to the Ubiquinone and still get the positive effects. Since most reviews on Ubiquinol are really good (and rightfully so for people who aren't allergic) I wanted to give a review about my reaction for any others who might be wondering if they are experiencing something similar.

The good thing about this product is that I could feel it working. It definitely made a different for me in the amount of energy I had.

However, the bad thing was that it was *too much* energy. I felt gittery, anxious, and hyperfocused. It could be that I got the 100mg kind. It also could be that I am taking other prescribed medications. Or maybe it was both. Still, though, with so many studies showing how great this stuff is for you, I am tempted to buy the 50mg to see how it is. When I popped the pills and squeezed out half, I seemed to feel none of those bad symptoms I described. I will probably buy some more when I can afford it!

Remember that this was just for me. I doubt this would have the same affect on everyone since most people are not taking these possibly interactive medications. I'm also 20 years old so it's possible that my body doesn't need quite as much as someone 10 years older might.
