Mindfold Sleeping Mask

My initial rating was based on sleeping with this mask for a few days, and based only on the fact that it blocked out light better than my previous grocery store purchased sleep mask. However, other than that this mask is horrible in the comfort area. It's made of hard plastic on the outside and uncovered foam on the inside. It does block out light if you're lying on your back, but if you're a side sleeper you'll have hard plastic pressing against the side of your face, which can be distracting and occasionally even painful. After a week or two I threw this out and went looking again. Although it's twice as much, I found the perfect sleep mask: the Escape Luxury Sleep Mask by Dream Essentials. I've been using that one for two years and it's still perfect. Check my other reviews for a full review of the same mask (that color is no longer offered, but it's still available on Amazon in other colors if you search) for full details. It's easily twice the price of this mask, but soooo worth it!

I have been using the Mindfold for over 5 years on a daily basis. It was the perfect mask, but the fact that over the years the manufacturer has being making it thiner and thiner, makes it crack very easily. Now it does crack extremely easily speacially in the middle, and on the sides as also the elastic shape has changed.

It would be nice if the product would be produced using better standards like the previous ones (the mask use to last me a while, now the first crack is always in about a week of use).

This mask does block the light really well, as advertised. But, my eyes must be just a little too big, because when I wear this mask, the very inner edges of the foam eye-cutouts rest on the very outer corners of my eyes, and that foam feels like sandpaper on an area as sensitive as that!

Seriously, rub along the very outer corners of your eyes... Can you image a foam edge, putting pressure (from the Velcro head-strap) right in the corners of your eyes? Now try sleeping like that.

I had to use another, soft sleep mask underneath this one, to pad it. Which of course interferes with REM sleep. I'm on here hoping to find a contoured sleep mask with bigger eye-holes...

I was honestly a bit disappointed upon receiving the mindfold. Unlike a fabric mask that I was expecting, this mask is made of PLASTIC and FOAM and seemed quite cheap and overpriced. However, it works very well and the plastic COMPLETELY blocks out light. With some adjustment on the nose bridge, you can have total darkness even in a brighly lit room. No fabric eyenask that I've used has been able to duplicate the Mindfold's effects.

For that reason, and that reason alone, I recommend the mask and give it 5 stars, because even if it looked really posh and expensive, if it couldn't block out light it's worthless.

Now, some of my (and perhaps soon to be your) personal gripes:

You may feel a little foolish putting this mask on in public (which is, for most people, the point). It covers most of your face, and with the foam eye cupes, I feel slightly bug-eyed when I wear it. And it prominently displays the logo so you can be a sleeping billboard and have people stare at your forehead for a few seconds while you doze. Again, it does look pretty cheap and flimsy, though so far it has held up well in flight. I felt it was overpriced.

Also, a thumbs up to the seller Maxi-Aids, there are a few other sellers on Amazon selling this mask, but I trust Maxi-Aids the most reliable!

Looked like what I need but there is a down side or two. Excellent at blocking light, however the frame is stiff plastic. When I lie down on my pillow the relative inflexibility of the frame pushes the whole thing out of place. The foam lining is very soft, but is BARE, uncovered foam and is irritating against the delicate skin whenever I move. Why isn't there a soft fabric cover or something similar? Bad design for this purpose. Thumbs down, I'm afraid.

Unisar BR151 LiteUps Baby Nail Clippers

So I have given this product 4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes these clippers tend to come apart, since I've ordered a few, I now know how to put them back together. This is my 3rd set of these (my son is only 2 years old). I have tried MANY different clippers and I keep going back to these. I have to say, they work the best at night. They have a wide brim so that there isn't a restriction on how much you can cut and the light on these is by far the best out of all of them. I even found myself using a book light, holding it in my mouth while I used regular child clippers, it just doesn't work like these. My second pair of these went dull (I think it was just defective) hence my third pair that I bought. They are a little more pricey but in my opinion, these work the best!

Unlike other reviewers, my blades are sharp as can be, and the light is fantastic. I was on here about to buy more--one for me (my toddler is obsessed with it and I have to hide it, but then can never seem to remember where I put it) and several to give as shower gifts. Really, it's my favorite baby gadget ever. Though the Baby Bjorn terry bibs are a close second....

The clippers are indeed very dull and do not cut anything. But I was able to take them apart and replace the bad clippers with a pair of clippers made by The First Years. These are excellent and very sharp. They snapped right into place just like the dull pair. I replaced the screws and was ready to rock and roll.

The led light is a nice idea. However, they forgot to pay attention to the most crucial aspect of any nail clipper: Does it cut nails? Well, I can tell you, it does not. The clipper is not sharp enough to cut through the nail. You are left with the same nail, but somewhat broken by the clippers attempt to cut them.

I was so looking forward to getting these after having to spend so much time squinting in a darkened room trying to cut my baby's nails while she slept, but these were a huge dissappointment. The light is good, almost too bright. it has a tendendcy to be in the way but i could get aroundthat if the clippers worked. They are made od a cheap dull steel unlike any other clipper I have ever used and they won't cut through the nail. What's the point? These are completely useless and I wish I had tried the baby lite n clip instead.

Avalon Organics Essential Lift Restructuring Night Cream

This product WORKS. The only product I've ever found that really works without stripping your skin. Picks your jowls up off the floor and actually does restructure your skin in a good way.

Watch out ... most lifting and firming creams/lotions/serums are full of glycols, which they make antifreeze out of. They lift the skin by sucking the water out of the cells. Looks great for a hour or 2, but you end up with dehydrated paper thin fast to wrinkle skin after a while.

This product, on the other hand, uses sea minerals and rosemary to lift. Ever notice how good and how firm your skin looks after swimming in the ocean ? Same thing.

I have been using Avalon Essential Lift Restructuring Night Cream for three weeks, and I have to say: it works. The velvety texture against the skin is heavenly. It is also thick, which I find moisturizes deeper into the face and neck. The downside: the price. For two ounces, seventeen dollars seems extravagant. But like Avalon Contouring Eye Cream, the product works. The lines look finer around the eyes, and the loose skin around the neck seems to have firmed over a period of one month. Like all creams, the results may vary from person to person.

And in recent years, I have discovered that organic face and body creams work more efficiently than the usual over-the-counter brand names. Not only are Avalon Essentials my favorite creams, they also contain vegetarian ingredients and are cruelty free.

I don't take melatonin any more since the effects are no longer apparent to me. It worked at first but now I get nothing from it. My daughter who is six and autistic needs a way to wind down because without something like this she would not sleep till midnight or later and I don't want to medicate her. Frownies Forehead & Between Eyes, 144 Patches

I was not convinced this product would really work, but since my friend recommended it and I thought I would try it as I was desperate. I don't find their pseudo-scientific explanation of how they work very convincing, but despite all this, I do think they help smooth out the lines between my brows. If nothing else, they at least prevent it from worsening while I'm sleeping.

The effect is somewhat temporary and gradual, but it does work. It's not as quick (or as expensive!) as Botox, but in some ways it's actually better. Botox temporarily paralyzes an area so you get kind of a weird frozen face. The Frownies will smooth the area out a bit, but still allow full movement and expression.

For the money, I think it's definitely worthwhile.

I have to disagree with a previous reviewer. This is not a hoax. And it's not really like parcel paper! Frownies work a very simple 'mechanical' way. It prevents the muscles to move just like as Botox would do. It's the same principles except it's way safer. As it is done for a limited time (night time being the best), you can't expect the dramatic results of Botox of course but you'll definitely see a difference.

I have used them for 10 years now and I have bought them over and over. But I have noticed that this is not something you can stop using. I don't really think you can 're-train' your muscles for good. If you stop, nature takes its right back and your expression lines will re-appear (same as Botox). Results will also depends on how deep the wrinkle is. I can only speak for myself here as my frown lines were slight when I started to use them.

The best thing is to give it a go and see for yourself. It's important to follow the instructions carefully (the patch must really hold tight on the skin) ie putting a patch EVERY night for at least four weeks to see obvious results.

I am 27-yrs-old and have an "As between my eyebrows" or had. I have bought such expensive creams, ranging from drug store to high-price well reputable brands. Nothing worked. A lot of women don't know that each and every batch of Botox is tested on mice and that 50% of the mice have to die from paralyzation resulting in suffocation for the batch to be considered effective (I'm not making this up, google it). I would much rather lick and stick a piece of stiff brown paper to my head every night than have that kind of karma on my conscious. Some people have complained that this product is something you can make yourself, seriously you have time to do that? I'm exahusted just ripping them apart on the pre-scored lines. Abra Therapeutics MUSCLE THERAPY BATH

I like this bath salt because it is very well ground, almost a powder, so it dissolves in the bath immediately. Not like the usual chunky rock salt that many bath salts use. It also has a nice scent. The bottle says that it is enough for 8-16 baths but I have found it to provide five or six baths tops. My jetted bathtub is large, but I imagine that is what most people are purchasing this for. Also, I find this at TJMaxx for $5.99 often.

Bought this to replace my gabapentin prescription that I take for bipolar/anti-depressant aids. When I take it I can definitely feel the flood of GABA in my brain after a few hours. I had an eye pillow made by a different manufacturer for about 10 years before it finally tore open. Unable to see how I could live without it, I repaired it with duct tape (hey, I'm a guy, what do you expect), but I figured it was time to get a new one. I was pleased to see on Amazon that many eye pillows, such as the DreamTime eye pillow on this page, come with zippers so the contents can be removed and the material hand-washed. I got a different color than the one on this page (I got the "DreamTime Inner Peace Eye Pillow, Sage Velvet," also sold here at Amazon). The eye pillow that tore open on me was unscented and I was hesitant about getting a scented eye pillow; I was afraid it would be too perfumy. But the scent of the DreamTime eye pillow is quite pleasant and to my liking and I don't find it perfumy at all. It has a mild chamomile smell, and when I use it, it is easy for me to imagine that I am reclining in a field of wild chamomile. Having an eye pillow means not having to put my arm or arms over my eyes (or a folded up t-shirt or a towel or whatever is handy) when I want total darkness. The eye pillow gives me total darkness--100% absolute blackness. It also imparts the pleasant sensation that I get when I gently press my palms to my eyes. The scent is relaxing, the sensation of having the pillow over my eyes is relaxing, the absolute darkness is relaxing, and I highly recommend this inexpensive product (especially at the sale price) to anyone who is looking for a natural way to get some deep relaxation. DreamTimes's eye pillow comes in a sturdy reusable cardboard box (with a ribbon carrying handle). DreamTime eye pillows are obviously marketed to women and that's too bad for guys who might not consider trying them because of how they're marketed. Maybe if they make some with a camo design (just kidding). Highly recommended for anyone who wants a natural aid to deep relaxation.

If you are looking for an eye pillow, do yourself a favor and purchase this one! It has become one of my favorite things. When I use it I feel relaxed and well cared for. I love it for many reasons: the fabric is silk & velvet, it has a zipper so you can take out the herbal contents and hand wash it, and the scent of the filling is so comforting! Very well made too-good seams with professional look. (Also-it is cheaper here on Amazon than I have ever seen it.) Enjoy.

They run in my family. They've increased dramatically now that I'm in my fifties.

I went to the dermatologist to get them check out and removed. It was a brutal experience. I had twenty five needles to the face to numb it. They were cauterized and fell off about a week later. I would need at least 3 more treatments to get them all off. I read about light therapies and decided to try it. It's working great. The moles are all completely flat now and a third to half the original size. I'm very happy. They are hardly noticeable. I also noticed the pores on my nose are much smaller too.

I purchased this product with high hopes after reading what LED therapy can do. After extensive research, this product seemed to meet all the expectations in LED strength, had the blue AND the red, able to do a large area at one time vs. a small area, and seemed reasonably priced compared to the others LEDs out there. I do admit, it is a very basic product and not too impressive to look at. It is simply a board with 225 LEDs on it, and an easel stand it lays on. I am a 42 yr old caucasian redhead with lots of freckles and a little on the red or pink side in skin tone. I have not wrinkled yet. I was hoping for a more unified overall look, or simply more fading in my freckles and overall even skin tone with less pinkness. Also, according to the Habadirect website, I was hoping to see some improvement in some old minor/mild acne scars. I used this product faithfully for 35 days, 15 minutes each like the directions said. Sorry, I didn't notice any difference. No one else I know has noticed any difference either. I wished I did see a difference. It has a 90 day warranty, but it is a lot of effort doing the 15 min everyday, and with no results after 35 days, so I dediced to return it for a full refund instead.

Before this, I had the "$349" version with the split screens with the "blank" area between them. It had a very nice looking "official" type of holder...which is part of the reason I got it....it "looked" better, and since it "looked" better, it MUST work better. The dumb thing was, the area "between" the screens is EXACTLY the area I wanted it to work on!! I tried to sit using just one screen without the other in place...since keeping both in was kinda a pain, and clumsy. Really not too practical, as I saw it. And not getting, what I thought, was my "moneys worth". Sold it on EBay...

This one...less $$, but, IMO, worth every penny...and is far more practical, for what "I" was using it for. The $349 model, with removable screens and a wrap thingie to allow you to put the screen DIRECTLY on an area of pain to keep it in place, etc, so you didn't have to sit in front of it, you could sit and watch TV or just lay in bed and read a book, etc...pain relief is another use for these products. Believe me, I TRIED to "wrap" one of the screens around my head so I could just recline in bed and listen to TV, but the nose got in the way, and trying to get it between one of the little lights kinda made breathing a bit less than easy. Again, these are all just my opinions, be them right or wrong, and my attempts at using the more expensive model, I'm sure, weren't the worst problems in the world, but, not good for me.

The product shown here, that I recently purchased, doesn't have the "pretty" plastic edged screens that snap into a stand making it "look" like it would be more effective. What this DOES have is PRACTICALITY and has the ability to do just what I wanted the product for in the first place.

The FULL screen works on the area I WANT it to concentrate on...AND it also DOES work for the area beyond that "center" of my face at the same time. It DOESN'T have an "elaborate" screen holder, so, just be careful with it...does it take all that much to make sure it's sitting in its stand properly?? Maybe try a little common sense and maybe put a book behind the stand to help brace it...oh, I don't know, but for $149 LESS than the other high priced product, I've figured out things to do that work for me.

** Just a side note...DO make sure your face is CLEAN before using it....be CONSISTANT!!! It ain't a "time machine"....from the reading I've done, it says better results are obtained when you use a product that's an "anti wrinkle/wrinkle reducer" cream ALONG WITH (NOT DURING!!!) the use of the Light Therapy regimen be it Olay, L'Oreal, or any of the vast multitude of those type of creams on the market to choose from.

Also...I was thinking about the reviewer who was commenting about her freckles....maybe using one of the "lightening" creams that even skin, or reduce blemishes, etc along with the light therapy, could have helped obtaining your desired results????

The best thing is...if it's not worth it for you...you can send it back. With the $349 one, I had to take a 15% restocking fee....pay for return shipping....and was not too easy to be able to get "approved" to return...or for me it wasn't.

BSN N.O.-Xplode Caffeine Free, Fruit Punch, 15.9 Ounce

I used ON's Preload Creatine before this, but never other pre-workout supps because they always have caffeine in them. I work out after 4-5:00 and this stuff gives me great pumps, good energy, and I feel great after the workout still. I can also get to sleep at night like I'm supposed to. Those other stimulant filled supplements will have you so "jacked" that you won't be able to go to sleep or want to puke. When I cycle off of it for several weeks (because of the creatine), I can tell a difference. I make good gains in strength while taking it for about 6-8 weeks. The only other caffeine free supp is Optimum Nutrition's preload creatine and it's very simple. I would say N.O.E. is better than O.N.'s. I have had the blue raspberry and the punch, and the punch IMO tastes better.

So, I've had this NO-Xplode on my wishlist for awhile. I frequently went through the other Amazon reviews to see if it was something I really wanted to move forward with. My birthday was a few days ago, and a family member got me an Amazon gift card, so I decided to use the gift card to purchase this supplement. It arrived only 3 days later (today), which was awesome...so props to Amazon for their awesome shipping, but unfortunately this isn't a positive review.

Whenever I get a new supplement, I never take the fully recommended dose so that I am able to get a feel for how it's going to react in my body since everyone is different. To that point, I will say I am SO GLAD I didn't take a full scoop. I decided to only take a half scoop. As other people have said, the taste is pretty awful, but in the world of supplements, I generally will continue taking a product that WORKS even if it's not the best flavor since the end result is really what's important. I mixed it with water about a half hour before my workout around 5pm this evening.

Got to the gym and did a pretty intense leg and ab workout. As far as the efficacy of the product, I guess I can't say I really noticed much difference. I didn't get any "harder pumps" that everyone seems to promise with pre-workouts. I went about my workout as normal, and came back home. That's when things started to get weird.

I ate my normal post-workout meal (some chicken, brown rice, and cottage cheese). Right towards the end of my meal, I noticed my vision was a little funny, almost hazy. I was having a hard time focusing on things. Thought maybe I was just tired from the workout. A few minutes later, I was sending a text message on my phone, and noticed I couldn't see part of what I was typing. Thought maybe it was a smudge on my glasses, so I cleaned them off. Looked back at my phone, and now a good portion of my phone screen was completely blocked from my vision. I knew something wasn't right. My heart started to pound shortly after, and I went upstairs to lay down. The best way I could describe my vision was similar to when you get a migraine headache. Seemed like parts of my vision were just blocked out entirely. I laid down and messaged a friend of mine to get on google and look up NO-Xplode and see if anyone else had reported any weird side effects. A few more minutes had passed, and I was completely blind in my right eye. I could see what looked like strange, rolling, electrical patterns filling my whole field of view, almost like morphing lightning bolts covering my eyes. A few minutes later, my friend got back to me, and I tried to make out the words on my phone screen as best I could. By this time, I was close to hyperventilating and had a massive splitting headache. Nothing my friend told me was good. Hundreds of reviews online from people saying things like "NO-Xplode gave me the worst headache I've ever had." "I felt like I was dying." "Made me so sick, I started vomiting and couldn't stop." "Can't stop shaking." "My body is convulsing and won't stop." "I feel like my brain is collapsing in my head." "My blood pressure dropped, and I thought I was going to die." All this from a SINGLE scoop of NO-Xplode. I was debating in my head whether or not I should call an ambulance, but I decided to wait it out and see what happened. My body was shaking, and I still couldn't see. My vision started to go black in my left eye, and I was still getting those weird electric patterns everywhere I looked. My heart was beating strangely, and I felt like I was about to pass out. I closed my eyes and just kinda laid there freaking out for 15-20 more minutes, trying to calm myself down. After about 30 minutes, my vision in my right eye started coming back. The weird electrical patterns were fading, but I was still pouring sweat, and the splitting headache was in full force. Another 15 minutes went by, and I felt completely drained and exhausted from the trauma my body just went through. I fell asleep for about 30 minutes, and woke up with an even worse headache. Luckily, my vision had returned...which brings us to right now. I'm still extremely nauseous, and trying to nurse a splitting headache. Been drinking tons of water, and trying not to do anything to aggravate how I'm feeling.

I checked on Amazon, and unfortunately this product isn't eligible for a return, so I can't get the gift card money back for this purchase. If I had a lawyer, I would pursue further action with the manufacturers of this product, but unfortunately I don't. I can't believe they can get away with selling a product that's putting people in the hospital and CAUSING BLINDNESS.

None of this is Amazon's fault, and everything on their end was top-notch like always, but I will NEVER take this product again, and I would NEVER refer anyone else to try this at any point in my life. I would never wish what I had to go through on another human being. This stuff should be banned. I'm almost insulted that I put this poison in my body. I wish that any of the other Amazon reviews had mentioned anything similar to what I'm saying. I never would have wasted my gift card on it. I'm sad I'm not able to get my money back, but such is life, I suppose.

If BSN reads this at any point, you should be ashamed. You're profiting off a product that is physically harming people...a LOT of people. I hope this review helps someone in the future to STAY AWAY from NO-Xplode. Maybe you're one of the lucky ones who takes it with no problem, but believe me, there are A LOT of people out there who have severe adverse to reactions to this as I did myself. That's all I have to say.

I am a huge fan of BSN products and thought I would give this a shot. Its OK, you feel it kicking in when you need it most but u also feel it leaving you just as fast. I like that it does not give you the gitters, that's always a good thing. I read in other reviews how it affected some people's organs and such, like anything like this products, you MUST take a break from using it after a while! Its not a protein this is a pre workout! I've gotten some pretty decent results from using this product. It won't make you super pumped up or energized or anything like that, but it helps you keep going longer before you burn out. Just make sure to take it on an empty stomach. The only qualm I have with this product is the revolting taste. Absolutely disgusting. It says to use 5-6oz of cold water per scoop but the flavor is way too strong to drink. I use about 8-10oz of ice cold water to tone down the taste, but it's still terrible. Hands down the worst tasting BSN product in production. If you can take it, it's a worthwhile product, but I won't be ordering it again. Blechh.
