I didn't find the coils to be uncomfortable, but it only worked a few months before the thermostat broke. Kmart used to sell a mask like this about 5 yrs ago. It was my FAV. mask!!! it was only $6.99 and it was not has hard as this one. The material is soft to the touch but somehow it feels hard on your face. I wont be buying another one. I'm not sure what I'm going to do as all my masks are falling apart. I was looking on line at other masks that where $5.99 for a dozen. This popped up as something other customers bought. I have redness around my nose, and dark circles under my eyes. This product was not enough to hide these, but I bought this more to try it. It's also a little dark for me, when I have used other L'Oreal products that have matched. It's messy, but I didn't take the time to learn how to properly use since I need to stick with liquid foundation. My fiancee gets regular headaches and migraines. I bought this stuff on the advice of a friend, and one day I came home to find her laid out in bed with a migraine. I rubbed some of this on her temples, and 20 minutes later, she was 100% better! This stuff is great!!! I am not a believer in things you rub onto yourself for pain relief or I wasn't until now. I had ordered the Hearos Ear Plugs and was waiting for them to come in the mail. So, in the interim, I purchased a CVS brand, which wasn't worth squat! They simply did not work. Sound Oasis Sound Therapy System
I bought this because I had problems waking up in the middle of the night. I can hear my dog snoring and sometimes some noise from the neighbors in the morning.After I bought this, I had my first 8-12 hours of sleep without waking up in the middle. It's almost scary, my dog use to wake me up in the morning to go eat/pee, but with this, she stays asleep too. I'm quite happy with it.

The HS clock was my first choice and I liked it except for the annoying beeping alarm that sounded at the end of the cycle and could not be shut off.
The Sound Oasis was my second choice. I chose it after reading several reviews complimenting its quality and the naturalness of the sounds.
The clock itself appears and feels sturdy and well-made; it is not plasticky and flimsy in appearance. It includes a number of nature sounds and tones right out of the box. I did not purchase an additional sound card since the stock sounds were enough for me.
The sound quality is good and the nature sounds do not sound artificial like some other clocks. When using as an alarm, the sound comes on low then gradually increases in volume. There is a two-stage snooze mode; the sound comes on again after eight minutes when the snooze button is hit; hitting it again turns the alarm off completely.
While I enjoy using the clock, there are number of things that prevent me from giving it the highest rating possible.
1. The time display is quite bright and cannot be dimmed. I have to cover the front of the clock to dim the light or it bothers me.
2. There is an annoying click when the alarm comes on that is sometimes loud enough to wake me even before the sound starts (I am a very light sleeper).
3. The alarm set function is primitive. Setting the alarm time is very time-consuming as you have to hold down a single button while it advances through a 24 hour clock minute by minute.
If you hold the button down for a specified period of time (15-30 seconds) the time advances more quickly in increments of 10 minutes. However, there is no way to go back and forth if you overshoot the time while setting the alarm. You have to repeat the entire process, moving forward through 24 hours until you come back to the time you want. It is a very time-consuming and frustrating process if you are not paying attention and overshoot your mark.
If you get up at the same time every day it's not a big deal as you will set the alarm only once but if your alarm time varies, it could be frustrating setting the alarm repeatedly.
Overall, I am OK with the clock and will continue to use it until someone comes out with a clock that has all the features I want and is easier to use.

Although I wanted the S-3000 (super model) I settled for the S-650because it was shipping. I am quite pleased. The sound coming from the speaker on the unit is pretty good quality. I use mine with a pillow speaker.
I am an insomniac due to tinnitus, BPH, and houshold noises. It does help with my tinnitus and noises and just makes it pleasant to go to sleep hearing tranquil sounds.

Got for the wife for Christmas 2008 present. It sounded great (Ocean Surf) and helped lull her to sleep. Problem is after a month of using only at night (for just sound effect, no alarm clock usage), it just up and quit working. No responce to any buttons. Amazon replaced for free, even shipping costs were covered (KUDOS to Amazon). Now 2nd unit after about a month of usage, as failed also. Design and or production methods make unit very fragile to processor failure. My first order arrived and I began using the toner. It felt as if I was applying crushed glass with a cotton ball. Since I was unfamiliar with the line, I fired off an email to customer service. Then another, AND ANOTHER! Never did I receive a reply to my question, "Was this normal?". I kept using it, being very delicate with my toner application. The next shipment, no glass. After 1 week, the "glass effect" was back. The toner had crystallized. I was mad. Another email...another disregarding of my question. I'm 30, a dude, and have been fighting with my skin since i was about 14. I've been using Skin ID by Neutrogena for a long time. It kept my skin relatively clear, but I've had breakouts every now and then, especially when I'm stressed out. I started suffering from acne around the area next to the eyebrows, and Skin ID couldn't control it any more. I decided to try Proactiv. It worked amazingly well at first (for about 2 weeks). My skin isn't completely covered in acne, but I get frequent break outs, including those deep, painful ones. THE EAR PLUGS: These ear plugs are not the flat square shaped kind. These are the cone shaped kind, which has a glossy outer coating. These plugs are made of a soft foam, most likely memory foam. When they get icky from ear wax, you can simply clean them and wear them again, or get a new pair. There is 10 of them in here, so if your smart, you can make them last over a year.
RESULTS: Using these ear plugs for a short period of time, I find, that they reduce the sound level quite well. I am able to operate loud equipment, without damaging my ears. As another plus to these ear plugs, is that they don't cause my ears to sweat like ear muffs will. However, I found, if I am using these plugs for too long, say 2 hours, they will cause my ears to itch like crazy.
ON CITY BUSES: Have you ever road the city bus before? The noisy engine is not the only thing you have to contend with. Whenever something comes along that renders so many other expensive therapies, remedies---possibly useless, like any other industry----the elimination of competition comes into play. Look at most industries and you will see this is the true 'spirit' of the 'free market,' more often than not---elimination--oligopoly---pseudo-choice---market-share domination by less than honest entities.
Lunexor relieved a lot of pain and suffering associated with sleep-difficulties, and now it's impossible to find, eliminated from the market place, while garbage habit forming/dangerous drugs and a lot of useless cheap imitations with the same key ingredient float around. So yes, I'm upset, and I think people are getting ripped off. I know Lunexor might not be for everyone, but I know form being defrauded by many other types of aids that it works if used correctly. If anyone can help me find this product, or explain to me why this product cannot be purchased--I would sincerely appreciate it. At the moment, one can only find no--or vague information that seems to try to shove you into the arms of all the fake junk out there.

I have tried many types of ear plugs and these are the best. They are made out of soft silicon, so you can mold them to fit your ear. The stay put and are comfortable. The foam-type ear plugs tend to pop out, and they are very scratchy to me. The non-moldable rubber-y ones are even worse; they hurt my ears and don't block out sound very well. "Mack's earpillows" are waterproof, so you can swim without getting water in your ears. (good for swimming and bathing for children who have "tubes" in their ears, too). Your sleep-environment will be dead quiet (except for those little voices in your head!) in a normal room. If you are dealing with partner-snoring, people watching TV in another room, or the like, "Mack's" masks much of that, too. Very handy for travel. The only drawbacks that I know are the fact that they don't kill all noise (nothing does that), and they don't last forever (nothing does that either.) You throw them away when they get dirty, but if you keep them in the case, they'll stay clean quite a while. Sometimes I have to pick the hair out of them after I wake up because my hair tends to get caught in them when I sleep, which can can be annoying. And everything sticks to them, so, if they fall on the floor, they end up looking like nasty boogers.

I discovered Mack's Silicone Earplugs several years ago after we moved to Belize. They have been a lifesaver! They have helped me sleep when there was loud music close by, the neighborhood dogs were barking, and other night noises. I clean the outer canal of my ear a litle (do not use a Q-tip and push wax in, it will clog ears, it happened to me) to help keep them clean, and then after a few days when they start losing their "stick", I use my fingernail to scrape off the very outer layer, and they are sticky a while longer. Then when they get too small to scrape off more, I put them aside until I have another pair just like them, scrape off the non-sticky outer layer, and mash two together to have an almost new pair! As everyone else has said, they work great initially. The honest answer is that each pair lasts two nights. You have to be wasteful if you want a good nights rest. They are more comfortable than anything else out there, but unfortunately spending $6 every two weeks starts to get on your nerves.My most important recommendation is to get these at Wallgreens. My significant other snores, so I've become an expert on ear plugs.
I have tried quite a few of them and Mack's earokugs is among them. Below is a summary of my experiences with different ear plugs. I hope you will find it useful. Other the noise protection, the important factors for me if the plugs stay in your ear, and if they are breathable (some of them made my ear canals hot and sweaty, that makes them itch, and itching wakes me up).
* Mack's pillow soft earplugs (sillicone), 22 decibels. These earplugs did not work for me at all. They did not provide enough sound protection, my ear canal got hot and sweaty and itchy (and needing to itch wakes me up), and they also tend to fall out.
* Hearos ear plugs,ultimate softness, 32 decibels. Hearos have a good size, not too long not too short. They are slightly shorter than Flent Quiet time, so they don't stick out of my ear, and this means they don't catch the pillow and don't get pulled out. They are also slightly softer, and provide a little less protection. Overall they are comfortable, but I find that my ears get hot and sweather using them.
* Hearos ear plugs, Xtreme protection Series, 33 decibels. Hearos are slightly shorter than Flent Quiet time, so they don't stick out of my ear, and thus stay in better. They are firmer than Hearos ultimate softness so they provide more noise protection. Overall they are comfortable, but I find that my ears get hot and sweather using them.
* Flents Quiet Contour, molded foam, 33 decibels.
This is my favorite ear plug. It gives me the best noise protection, it stays in the ear very well, it is comfortable, my ear canal does not get hot and itchy. I find the most comfortable.
* Flent Quiet Time, comfort foam, 33 decibels. I like these earplugs less thant Quiet Contour because it does not seem to stay in my ear as well. The ends of the foam seem to stick out and catch on the pillow when I turn, catching the end on the pillow pulls them out of my year. I got it to stay in the ear better by trimming about 3/8th of an inch. Because they tend to fall out, I don't get as good of a sleep in them. However, when they are in the sound protection is good. For me Flents Contour ear plugs win on all counts noise protection, comfort, staying, breathability.
