Village Naturals Therapy Restless Nights Mineral Bath Soak 20oz

Village Naturals Therapy Restless Nights Mineral Bath Soak 20ozI got this for my wife, she liked it very much and told me it makes for a very relaxing bath, well heck I deserve to relax to darn it

so I used it, well she was right! so I got more :)

I am an insomniac, and without fail, a hot bath with these lavender and chamomile-scented bath salts will put me to sleep. No, really. I don't know what it is about these, because I have tried lavender solutions before, and nothing else has worked quite like these. Throw them in as you're drawing your bath, and close the door to let the steam build up, and it's like a spa. I also really like the aches and pain formula for back and shoulder pain.

Wonderful, affordable line of aromatherapy products for a luxurious & relaxing experience!

This entire line is just wonderful. The restless nights bath is a soothing mix of lavender , chamomile, and passion flower.

Recover from a very stressful day with bath I, bath salts, or body wash. After an aromatherapy bath like this, have a great night's sleep-naturally.

Any of these make a terrific and very appreciated gift.

Forget going to a spa-recline in aromatherapy at home!

First off, I bought this for myself. I train as an amateur boxer and do a lot of running, and often my muscles cramp up and heavy stretching is needed before I'm back at 100%. First and foremost I bought these salts to ease my muscle pain.

Drawing a -hotbath and getting in, first thing you notice is the heavy aroma. These salts smell great! And a large part of the "restless nights" label has to derive from the aromatherapy it provides. After a bath it left our bathroom smelling like lavender for at least 3 more days--can't complain about that.

The downside is the quantity that comes in this small package. The packaging recommends 1/3 cup for each bath, and that seems to do the trick (though most other bath salts seem to recommend 2 cups), but at the price you pay for this it's just too much!

You'll get a handful of baths at the most, and while some people might be all right with that, I just think it's too much to pay for such a small amount of salt.

This stuff really works. I use it in a tub of hot water when I can't sleep and it really helps. I use it along with the one for aches & pains because I have arthritis really bad as well as dystonia (a disease causing you to lose control of muscles & makes my whole body spasm) which sometimes begins in the middle of the night.

Source Naturals Melatonin Liquid, Natural Orange (Pack of 2)

Source Naturals Melatonin Liquid, Natural Orange Flavor, 4 OunceMy daughter is diagnosed with Aspberger's Syndrom and has not slept through the night except sporadically since she was born (she is 4 now). This stuff is a godsend!!!! We had been crushing the pill form and putting it into pudding to get it down her and then we found this. It has a pleasent sweet orange flavor that she loves and she willingly takes her 'night-night medicine' every evening about 30 minuets prior to bedtime. She is falling asleep easier and getting a sustained and more restful sleep through the night. We no longer have our days starting at 4:30 a.m. and she is sleeping fitfully through the night! She is much more pleasent in the mornings and not so whiny and demanding. It has created a night and day difference in her behaviors and our family life is getting better as well. I highly reccomend this to anyone who has a youngster that has sleep difficulties!

My son has ADHD and PDD-NOS and this helps him to calm down at night and go to sleep. I like this brand because the dispenser is 1 mg. I've tried other brands where I had to give him 4 drops just to get to 1 mg. That is tough for kids that have a hard time with taking medicine.

I do realize that I'm leaving a review which does not explain how effective this product was for me, but I believe that there is a very important information missing from a product description.

As of 09/28/2012 product description states the following: Size: 4 Ounce Dietary supplement. Suitable for vegetarians. Contains no yeast, dairy, egg, gluten, soy or artificial color, flavor or fragrance.

This product contains ethyl alcohol (6%) among other ingredients. This piece of information should be listed here.

Full description of this product:

Supplement Facts for Orange Liquid

This melatonin works great for my kids and for me both. Most pill forms are in 1 mg or 3 mg or even higher dosages. My daughter only needs 1/3 of the dropper to be able to fall asleep and the liquid form works faster than the pills. The dosage is also more precise than me trying to cut up the little pills into thirds. Flavor is great too tastes good! We've bought this repeatedly and will continue to do so.

My 4-year-old son has ADHD and has trouble sleeping. Our pediatrician recommended trying Melatonin with him. After reading many positive reviews of people who had used this with their children, I decided to give it a try. Upon receiving it in the mail, I saw in the ingredients that it contains 6% ethyl alcohol and the warning that it is not for use by children, teens, or women who are pregnant. None of this information is disclosed in the description of the product, and being a liquid, I would imagine many people are interested in buying this for their children, so this information should have been readily available to customers!

Soleil Sun Alarm Clock Radio SA-3

Soleil Sun Alarm Clock Radio SA-3I was shopping around for a sunrise alarm clock for a while and finally settled on this one because it was cheaper than the popular Phillips models while still having most of their more appealing features. I tried it out last night after it came in the mail, and so far I'm more or less happy with my purchase. It functions as I expected it would, and the features are nice if not top-notch. Here's a run-down of the pros and cons:

Pros:

1. Sunrise AND sunset option (but so far I'm not sure if you can do both in one night)

2. Option for 4 nature sounds, a regular alarm noise, or FM radio to wake you up after the light has finished lighting up. You can adjust the volume of any of them to suit your waking up needs.

3. White light! I am a big fan of white light, and that was the biggest factor in why I chose this specific clock over the many other yellow light options.

4. The LED bulb seems to be fairly easy to replace, will last for quite a while (according to the packaging at least), and a replacement can be purchased for a reasonable price.

5. You can adjust the sunrise duration from 15 to 90 minutes at 15 minute intervals

6. Nice compact size; fits nicely on my tiny nightstand

7. Backup battery as well as wall plug

8. The light can be used separately as a night light or lamp if you want, but I haven't been able to determine if leaving it on will interfere with your sunrise in the morning.

9. There are 10 separate light levels, with the lowest being like a really dim night light, and the brightest being about the same as a 60 Watt-equivalent compact fluorescent.

Cons:

1. The light is not bright enough to light up my 10x11 foot bedroom; at full brightness, the room looks like it would during that dim pre-dawn stage. Nevertheless, if you are facing the light with your eyes closed and the light on at full blast, it will be bright enough to convince you that it's light out. With that said, I think it would be unreasonable to expect this level of light to wake you up without some additional noise in the background, so I still set a backup alarm and turn the wake-up nature sound up really loud to make sure I get up.

2. The controls are definitely NOT intuitive. I read the instruction manual four times and still couldn't be sure that I was setting things correctly until I tried a few test runs.

3. The whole thing feels a bit rinky-dink for a $70 gadget, but that's a purely cosmetic complaint. Functionality is fine.

4. I have not figured out yet whether or not you can adjust the brightness of your sunrise. So far it seems like the default is to go from level 1 to level 10 over the amount of time you set.

5. Although the waves nature sound is convincing enough, my preferred wake-up sound (birds) sounds like an alarm clock with a chirpy beep.

6. The snooze button will be impossible to find if you are genuinely just waking up and trying to hit the snooze. It's the same size and shape as all the other buttons on the face, and it's not set apart from them at all. However, the light at its brightest is not obnoxious and you can adjust the alarm sound to a tolerable volume, so I don't anticipate ever needing to use the snooze function.

7. The LCD display can only be clearly read when the light is not on and when you look at it from a certain angle. I'm keeping my other alarm clock around to tell the time.

8. I noticed when I was testing out the sunrise function that the light comes on incrementally instead of smoothly. For example, it will stay on at level 1 for a while and then jump noticeably to the next level. My sleepy brain definitely doesn't notice this during actual use, though, so it's not a huge con.

This little clock/sun alarm is wonderful, really. Having been diagnosed with PTSD a year ago, my sleep pattern(s) well, were anything but normal. Things have shifted for the better, and I am happy to share that after some serious consideration I added this sunrise alarm clock and am pleased to say that something so simple as adding "natural progression sunrise" has helped me to sleep more solidly and steadily through the night and feel more refreshed when waking. Speaking for myself only, waking to the gradual progression of light, sorry I wont say 'natural sunlight' has a very calming and natural feel to it.

The only draw back I have to say is the "LED effect"; the lighting is gradual yes, however it (in my opinion) could be softer; this may be the LED technology. The lights are blue not a soft yellow. This makes it more noticeable, incrementally, as the clock/light awakens you. Perhaps I am more sensitive to this due to the PTSD, however I feel it's an 'LED-thing'.. Maybe the Mfg could make a yellow dome for the clock? or perhaps use a yellow LED? In any event I *do* recommend this product.

az287's very detailed review basically says all you need to know, I just wanted to add: The light is bright enough to wake me before the alarm, but I am a very light sleeper. It also seems to be having a noticeable effect on my heavy-sleeping boyfriend, but maybe that's just because I start to stir when it comes on. It is really, really poorly made, so some of the features don't work right, and programming is definitely not intuitive, but the light and alarm come on when they're supposed to, and that's kind of all I would ask from the cheapest clock of this type.

Read Best Reviews of Soleil Sun Alarm Clock Radio SA-3 Here

I'd recommend this for someone that's looking for the sunrise function & nature sounds that only has around $50 to spend. If you have more, go for the higher priced items, b/c, like other reviews, this is very cheaply made.

Other notes:

1. You can't use the sunset/sunrise function on same day (unless you want to reprogram, which isn't hard, just a pain, and who wants to reset their alarm everyday).

2. The nature sounds are just sounds on repeat (ex. for the birds alarm, there's a few chirps for about 5 sec., than it pauses and repeats). It's not the soothing, continuous sounds that I was expecting, but my akin to an alarm but a tad more pleasant (I can't deal w the typical alarm beat anymore).

3. One button serves multi-functions, which makes it a little unsure if you're alarm will actually go off.

Overall, I'm keeping this b/c I couldn't find a sunrise simulated alarm that also had nature sounds that was in my budget. This was not worth the money I paid b/c of how cheap it is, but I ease into waking up now, so I'm keeping it. If you can spend more, can the more expensive brands. Otherwise, this will serve it's purpose.

This was a gift, and from the start I was a little worried about the quality. It seemed like one of those cheap made in a foreign country bad translation type of gadgets. The radio doesn't have an indicator dial, so you don't know what station you are listening to. The LED light generates really bad feedback, so you can't use the light and the radio at the same time anyway. the nature sounds are hokey, and the display can only be read from a really weird angle. But, it was cheaper than all of the other ones, and the basic functions worked ok at first.

But about 3 months after I received it and started using it, it started to malfunction. I woke up to it doing a slow strobe, where it would flash on and off at long intervals. Then it started strobing faster til I thought I was going to have a seizure so I shut it off. Then it worked ok for two days, and then this morning it started making this weird clicking sound and not turning on. I was afraid it was going to short out and start a fire or something, so I unplugged it and slept in.

So that's it, it's going to Goodwill, and I'm going to buy a more expensive one that will hopefully not turn my morning into a bad techno club flashback.

Futuro Plantar Fasciitis Sleep Support

Futuro Plantar Fasciitis Sleep SupportThis product is wonderful! I have plantar faciitis on both feet so I purchased two. I had prescription splints made for me that were so bulky and uncomfortable to sleep in that I was hesitant to try these. The futuro splints are lightweight, easy to put on and take off and work like a charm. Do not hesitate to try these. They make a world of difference putting my feet on the floor in the morning.

I have suffered for months with my right heel pain. It was hard to drive and sit at a stoplight, walk after sitting for any period of time, etc. the pain was constant. Anything that put pressure on my foot/esp the heel was almost unbearable. I was about to go to a Dr. and pay $$$ for a cure when I stumbled across a suggestion to use a night brace.

I purchased this brace and tried to wear it the first night. It was uncomfortable and I took it off after about 2 hrs. wondering how people sleep with this thing on! I lived with the pain for another month and decided to give the brace another try before going to a Dr.

I wore it about 4 hrs. the first night, and incredibly I had a great morning the very next day. I continued wearing the brace every day, eventually wearing it all night with no problems and all I can say is that I have NO pain in my heal, I have NO stiffness in the morning or any other time of day when I get up to walk. It's been almost 2 weeks wearing it nightly and I feel 100% better. I am looking into doing some maintenance exercises that are on the web to strengthen the foot, but, I can't believe how great this worked for me.

Had to sign on here to Amazon and tell my story.

As the name implies, these are splints you wear at night. Most of them look like big boots, which is why I like the Futuro Plantar Fasciitis Sleep Support brandit's just less bulky to wear at night than most.

Now the idea behind these splints is to try and keep the foot and ankle structures stretched out all night in order to promote healing and avoid morning pain and stiffness that is so common in plantar fasciitis. Only a few randomized controlled trials have actually tested out this interesting idea. For instance:

-volunteers in one study were randomized to get either custom foot inserts, anterior night splints, or custom foot inserts and anterior night splints (Roos 2006). At 12 weeks, all groups improved significantly with no significant differences found in pain among the three groups at any point in time.

-in another study, patients wore either custom shoe inserts, over-the-counter arch supports, or night splints (Martin 2001). At 12 week follow-up, all groups improved with no significant differences between them.

-night splints were compared to no night splint use in this randomized controlled trial (Powell 1998). After one month, the group that wore the night splints showed greater improvement compared to the control group.

As you can see, these night splints ARE effective in treating plantar fasciitis-but note that they seem to be just as effective as over-the-counter or custom foot inserts too. Therefore, since night splints can be a pain to sleep with for a lot of people, I recommend you try them as a last resort after you've tried more conservative things such as foot inserts. Plantar fasciitis sufferers wanting more info on plantar fasciitis might also want to check out The 5-Minute Plantar Fasciitis Solution.

After suffering many months with the pain of planter faciitis I bought this splint, and the Lumiscope Arch Easers. I have been using this product for almost 7 weeks. It does work. The pain has abated considerably. It's not entirely gone, but it's about 60-70% better at this point. Not difficult at all to use, and not uncomfortable it just takes some getting used to. The only complaint I have, is at this point, the velcro is not sticking as well as it should (I have cleaned all the fuzz out of the velcro, but it didn't help),and that makes it difficult to get it as snug as I need it at night. In the morning, I can tell if it wasn't snug enough, as the heel pain is more obvious when I step out of bed. But I would say this is well worth purchasing.

Want Futuro Plantar Fasciitis Sleep Support Discount?

I've had this a week now. Can't manage to keep it on all night, but I'm able to sleep a couple of hours with it, then take it off, then put it back on a couple of hours before getting up. It's made getting up in the morning a new experience -no pain!

This should also help people who have nighttime calf and foot cramps, which are often caused by having your foot extended (pointed) all night (stomach and back sleepers especially).

I strongly recommend also buying "The 5-Minute Plantar Fasciitis Solution" (book), which discusses what does and does not work for this condition based on randomized clinical trials. Night splints do work, but the best thing is regular (3x/day) stretching of the plantar fascia.

Looked here on Amazon and decided on the Folding Bed Wedge 12" high, voila sleeps soundly and wakes rested. As to making the bed every morning, simply take bed pillow off Wedge, fold it over, put pillow back on Wedge, and we make the bed. It truly has been the best ever pillow-type product purchased for Hubby. And believe me we have tried several types of pillows .. now considering purchasing another for myself.

Nice product. Well made, firm and sized so it is comfortable. The length was important, it stays in place all night.

Solgar - Magnesium Citrate, 120 tablets

Solgar - Magnesium Citrate, 120 tabletsAfter reading a wealth of research about the effective use of Magnesium for treating migraines (including the book What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Migraines), I decided to try it for myself. It took some time to find the right product, however, as you need to use a form of Magnesium that ends in "-ate" (and avoid those that end in "-ide," such as Magnesium Oxide). I found this Solgar brand, which contains Magnesium Citrate, in the natural foods section of my grocery store. The particular form I buy contains 200 mg tablets, but this version sold by amazon is even better, as it contains 400 mg tablets, which is the recommended daily dosage for migraine treatment. Once I began taking the recommended dose, I saw a reduction in the frequency of my migraines over the course of 1-2 months. The authors of the book mentioned above recommend using Magnesium in conjunction with two other substances, B2 (Riboflavin) and the herb Feverfew, but Magnesium alone has worked extremely well for me. Highly recommended!

Insulin resistance -central to type 2 diabetes -is associated with reduced intracellular magnesium and can be mitigated with magnesium. It has been demonstrated that insulin resistance in skeletal muscle can be reduced by magnesium administration. You can find more information by doing an internet search for "magnesium diabetes". I have found that magnesium is helping control my insulin resistance.

The most common magnesium supplements are magnesium oxide, magnesium carbonate, chelated magnesium (magnesium glycinate), magnesium orotate, magnesium citrate, magnesium maleate and magnesium gluconate. These supplements provide different amounts of elemental magnesium (the constituent that matters) and also vary significantly in their bioavailability (absorption).

Magnesium oxide is the most dense magnesium compound and the one most often used in mineral supplements and multivitamins. It contains 300 mg of elemental magnesium per 500 mg tablet, but is extremely poorly absorbed. Only about 4% of its elemental magnesium is absorbed or about 12 mg out of a 500 mg tablet.

Magnesium carbonate contains 125 mg of elemental magnesium per 500 mg tablet, but is poorly absorbed.

Chelated magnesium (magnesium glycinate) is magnesium bound in a complex of glycine and lysine. It is easily absorbed and highly bioavailable. The magnesium (elemental) content per tablet or capsule is usually 100 mg.

Magnesium orotate contains only 31 mg of elemental magnesium per 500 mg tablet. However, it is well absorbed and has been found highly effective in daily intakes of 3000 mg (186 mg elemental).

Magnesium citrate contains 80 mg of elemental magnesium per 500 mg tablet. It is far better absorbed than is magnesium oxide. The water soluble form (Natural Calm) contains 205 mg of elemental magnesium per teaspoon, is totally soluble in hot water and is highly bioavailable.

Magnesium maleate contains 56 mg of elemental magnesium per 500 mg tablet.

Magnesium gluconate contains 27 mg of elemental magnesium per 500 mg tablet. It is easily absorbed and quick acting.

All forms of oral magnesium supplements are better absorbed when taken with a meal.

Buy Solgar - Magnesium Citrate, 120 tablets Now

This product is excellent in purity and potency. This form of magnesium is super absorbable and so it increases bioavailability of the mineral. Go with the citrate form, or other water soluble higher molecular weight forms such as asparate, to ensure high bioavailability. Magnesium oxide, although the most inexpensive form, is poor in terms of potency. I've been useing this product for years and love it. Magnesium is essential for so many enzymic biochemical reactions and maintaining a healthy heart rhythm.

I know it may seem like a very unpleasant topic to talk about, but constipation can be a very serious and painful ailment. I have suffered for year. Doctors tried all kinds of pills, laxatives, fiber powders, colon products and cleansing, etc. There was just no success. Finally I found a brilliant doctor who guessed that I might have a Magnesium Deficiancy...I know, I'd never heard of it either. Well, he performed what I thought to be an extremely unusual (though incredibly helpful in diagnosing my ailment) test: He had me swallow this little device/detector thingie :-/ that fit inside a quickly dissolving gel capsule. Also inside the capsule was a thin string which was attached to the device (so he could later pull it right back out through my mouth when the test was done). I then drank something, I believe (it's been several years since the test, so I don't remember exactly) with magnesium in it. Soon after, I drank something with Baking Soda in it to see how fast my stomach could absorb/neutralize acid (again, it's hard to remember the exact things I drank). While the device was in my stomach, the doctor could see how well I absorbed Magnesium -quite poorly, as he suspected. He also explained that if your body cannot properly absorb magnesium from foods, it can impact your ability to have bowel movements. Needless to say, this discovery has been a godsend! These pills work wonderfully. I do have to take 2 3 every other night though. I hope someone might read this review and discover a way to cure their constipation as well. Please do talk to your doctor about it though as I have no medical training; I only know what is working for me.

Hemi-Sync Super Sleep CD

Hemi-Sync Super Sleep CDI have fibromyalgia and have never slept through the night despite being a Mom and working as a nurse full time. Waking up exhausted every morning was a regular thing for me.I was able to sleep through the night the first night I used this CD and have never been without it. I'm buying another copy today incase I wear out the one I have. Hint: I use a pillow "head set" I bought from Radio Shack instead of head phones. I slip it under my pillow and I can hear it beautifully. This eliminates disturbing my husband or wearing earphones/headphones.

I have listened to this CD every night for the past six years. I have slept so well during this time that it is hard to imagine what I was experiencing before. The CD is 45 minutes of pink noise and whooshy sounds embedded with Hemi-Sync frequencies designed to safely and easily lead the listener into delta sleep. I used to listen to this on a CD player set on continuous play. Once I bought an Ipod I created a Playlist that plays Super Sleep eleven times in a row (8 hours and 15 minutes) and then have it play Morning Exercise. I also use SleepPhones v.4 Medium/Large Headphones (Lavender)to listen to this all night. I really sleep well! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to have refreshing and renewing sleep.

The product states that some will not be able to use it. I was one of those persons. The sound left me with a headache and a sense of unease. I do believe it will be effective for some people. I was sorry I was unable to.

Want Hemi-Sync Super Sleep CD Discount?

I became aware of Hemi-sync in reading about Dr. Eban Alexander's book, "Proof of Heaven". Super Sleep was the first of three that I have purchased. This is what I've always wanted....white noise; and it is wonderful to experience with the wind blowing in my hair on the beach but no crashes of waves on the beach. The other two that I have are even better, becoming deluxe white noise with intriguing sounds of nature to spark a memory or feeling.

Photosonix Nova Pro Light & Sound Machine Sensory with Colortrack Glasses

Photosonix Nova Pro Light & Sound Machine Sensory with Colortrack GlassesWhere to begin. I am 63 years of age. I have lived a very "active" life. My life and where it has taken me has cost me any belief in God, Country, Government, and Medicine..... ALL have failed me in my times of need. I never blamed any of them, I just turned my back on them as well. I live in constant physical & emotional pain. Not something I like or wish to share but it is important and to the very heart of this review, this product. This begins with my reluctant search for biofeedback as so many doctors have begged me to try for years. Reaching a point where the physical pain of my disabilities have become just too much to endure, my search brought me to this machine.

First, I began with the purchase a month ago of the HeartMath emWave2. I had spent months reading every review on every book, device, machine etc that I could find online and on YouTube. Me, being ME, knew every single one of them would be a scam. I KNEW it! I have simply seen too much, heard too much, discovered too much. I first called each Company I will mention in this review and asked if they offered any discounts to disabled Veterans. Heartmath did, Wild Divine did, Photosonix did. This is why I bought all that I mention direct from the manufacturer as opposed to buying from Amazon. I also contacted MindPlace about their devices since I originally had planned on buying their Thoughtstream USB Personal Biofeedback and Procyon AVS System Light and Sound Meditation Mind Machine. Before my review of the Nova Pro 100 I will tell you why I chose it over the MindPlace items, as well as the HeartMath & Wild Divine products I also chose. When I contacted MindPlace I was only offered a discount for a "refurbished machine". I initially agreed. But then days went by with no word. I began looking for a way to contact them to no avail, other than on their webpage with a cheesy form I had to fill out and then you HOPE to hear back. NO phone, NO address etc. I found YouTube video (only a couple and they smacked of a sales pitch since BOTH were given free product!). I also noticed MADE IN CHINA stamped across their products in the videos. I felt it was just too scary to deal with any company that is impossible to find when I really needed them.

Initially, I purchased the Photosonix InnerPulse Light Therapy Sound Machine with the colortrack AND coolblue glasses. The 2 people who run Photosonix insisted my issues with PTSD would best be served if I wore the CoolBlue glasses over the ColorTrack glasses. But I refused to relent, so they included them for FREE to try & to prove their point. I had just read so many amazing things about the ColorTrack, I wouldn't settle for less. I also could not afford the better Nova Pro 100 on my small pension. It arrived next day. I need to point out that I find it quite a bit easier to figure out & operate (especially with glasses/goggled on) than the NP 100. My very first day with it and I thought I had discovered the meaning of life.

I am the biggest skeptic in the World. I have been a semi professional surfer, worked for assorted police departments, had WAY too many life experiences to allow me any trust....And War and the USMC? Well WHAT could ever go wrong there? So what happened when I used this machine? Well it became a time machine for me. A time machine that took me AWAY from all my awful times, old times, THIS time (in pain), and even better, my worries about the future time I so dread and worry about. This machine took me to a time & place where it was so IN MY FACE (NOT a bad pun either), that I was transported to the here & now where the colors and sounds made all that consumes me, all the pain, just falls away. I had found ESCAPE for the first time in my 63 years. Still, I waited 3 days to prove to myself I wasn't dreaming. Once I discovered that this was honestly the real thing (for me), and that it really did do what pills, booze, religeon and doctors could never even put a dent in for me, I called (their 800 number) AND emailed them. UNLIKE MindPlace, this company returned all my emails within MINUTES and always answered their toll free phone. The best part? Their products are designed (in house) AND MADE IN THE USA....Even better for me, all this happens just a couple hours away from my home here in California. I sold a bicycle for a loss of hundreds of dollars of dollars to be able to upgrade from the InnerPluse to the Nova Pro 100. There was simply no way I would settle for anything less than the best after what I had just experienced.

On top of this, I asked if I could drive to them to do my return & upgrade. It seems nobody ever had done that before, but they allowed it. I explained I wanted to say THANK YOU in person. It was and IS, that important to me. I did, and I am possibly the happiest I have been in over 30 years since I met my wife. She was the first love of my life. This Nova Pro 100 is the 2Nd. This is a much larger unit than my InnerPulse. It is STEEL and I could probably run over it with my car it is that sturdy. I like that but the large size and weight is what makes this a bit less easy to mess with when using, especially with the glasses/goggles on. But all the extra features it gives me, I'll take that hit.

I have gone to YouTube and found a ton of peaceful videos under mediating etc. I then take whatever URL of the video soundtrack that soothes me and place that URL into any online FREE decoder that converts that video soundtrack into an MP3. I then put all those converted MP3 files into my MP3 player, attach it to my Nova Pro 100. While the sound, beats, tones (whatever) of the NP100 may do what it needs to do to make me feel better, if I plug my MP3 player into the NP100 and add those soundtracks to the mix....well, it is probably the closest I will ever get to any Heaven. I have since downloaded all they offer for free on the Photosonix webpage and installed them ALL to my NP100. I have journeyed though most every program they have. I can't find one I do not like. I have not found a single one that "disturbs" me or makes me even think for a second that I will freak out. I honestly expected this thing to be a joke, or something that would trigger flashbacks of War of who knows what. Instead, it bought me nothing but PEACE....

I will be putting up a YouTube video of this in the coming weeks since nobody has done so that I can find. I don't see why either since it offers so much (for me anyway?). I do wish the manual was written in a more understandable way and that their serial cable did NOT require me to buy and optional USB cable converter. I wish THEY (Photosonix) would put up YouTube videos that show their different models with some user guides as well. I think that would make the public discover all that these machines can offer. It seems like some kind of cosmic mystery to me since I never even KNEW about these products till a month ago! And I live online so I am amazed I never found this before.

But if that is the worst thing I ever have to put up with for this tool that has restored peace to my old soul, no biggie! Ordinary people who lived ordinary lives may never need such a tool or find it valuable? But I can not imagine anyone who would not get some kind of good benefit from this? My own wife refuses to even try it still. Afraid she will go blind or something. I will ease her into it but she is literally afraid of it still. Her worry is that if it somehow hurts her, she won't be able to work and we will end up on the street or something. I tell her that if she doesn't learn to control the stress in her life she will end up DEAD and then what good will it do. Plus she deals with Cancer so I really need to get her to give this a fair try. I will update this as time passes and as I see how my wife reacts from it.

I also purchased EVERY single product available from Wild Divine. I find it more "spiritual" than my emWave 2 from HeartMath. Each has a place, each gets you there (or tries to) in a pretty different way. As an old Phart (elegant spelling!), I am honestly changing. And nobody including myself would have ever guessed it even slightly possible a month ago, given what I have lived through, lived with for 63 years. I lastly, want to thank all 3 companies I mentioned here. For their honest products, their 30 money back guarantees, and in MY case, for their support of US Veterans. Photosonix, who designs & builds their products right here in California has no way to know how they have touched my life. Sean who carried my new Nova Pro 100 to my car for me just might have had a glimpse though. I must have said thank you 20+ times and honestly nearly had tears in my eyes. It isn't easy to admit when life has beaten you down so badly. But when someone and something comes along that lifts you SO FAR back up, I swallow my pride and admit to it. Any Company who can do all this, and care this much, deserves that much support back from ME!

In a world of overpriced consumer electronics that are often obsolete and/or broken in less than two years, and which are commonly so costly in terms of in frustration that the customer deserves to be paid, the work of the Photosonix company stands out as a stellar exception to the rule. Yes, it is somewhat on the expensive side for a gadget, but it can be worth far more to you than you paid.

As I write this, I have just finished a light and sound session using the Nova Pro. I feel utterly relaxed but my mind is alert. I feel like I have had an energizing nap, despite the fact that I was seated upright and awake during the thirty minutes of use.

I have had the machine for ten solid years of regular usage, and have had no technical problems with it at all. But more importantly, I feel that I have benefited from using it immeasurably, emotionally and intellectually. As a person who has also practiced traditional meditation, for example, I have been thrilled to discover the Nova Pro allows reliable and almost instant access to the states of mind that can be difficult to achieve unaided. And since the settings allow infinite possibilities for tinkering with setting, so I have only scratched the surface of the discoveries I can make with it.

The creators of the Nova Pro have diligently incorporated brainwave research and theories into the design of the pre-set programs. I found that after a couple of years of use, I honed in on custom settings that I found most useful. But I occasionally go back to the presets because so many are interesting and powerful (though a few are just gimmicky or annoying).

However, I would have potential buyers reflect on the possibility that the value the Nova Pro has for you may depend, to some degree, on what you expect of it going in. I am not referring to a placebo effect; rather, that if you expect the results to be very different (e.g., like an LSD trip, an immediate 30 point IQ gain, etc.) from what they are, it might be disappointing.

One suggestion might be to do a bit of reading on the subjects of neurofeedback, hemispheric synchronization, and so on, so that you have some idea of what all the fuss is about. I started with Michael Hutchison's books; perusing the Amazon recommendations listed along with his books might be a good start.

If you are serious about Sound & Light therapy, & you really want to get maximum results, get the Nova Pro 100 *with* the Color Track glasses. No other Photosonix S&L glasses will deliver quite the same effects.

The Nova Pro 100 is a great Sound & Light machine, & using it does work to alter mental states. It is a lot of fun to experiment with. I used a teacher's David Pal S&L machine last Summer, which also comes with white glasses, & I liked it. I liked the wider variety of programming & impressive memory space in the Nova Pro 100, however, & after a week of research, I got the Nova Pro 100. I believe I made the right choice, vs. getting the David Pal, or the snazzy Procyon I was eying...

Physically, the Nova Pro 100 machine is *very* solid & durably built, & there is nothing cheaply made or flimsy about it. The built in rechargeable battery is another huge plus. It's built into the unit, & you do not need to buy anything separately, as you will with other cheaper S&L units...which ultimately raises their total price. There are plenty of buttons, & wheels, & jacks, & ports, features & settings, to control & customize your S&L experience. Including 2 sound & light jacks, so that with a 2nd set of glasses & phones, you may share (tweak?) with a friend. Even though it's a scientifically complex machine getting it up & running takes only minutes. You're supplied with as much of the audio science behind it as you'd like to read, but you will *not* need a physics or neuro-psych course to operate it. Photosonix put a lot of practical, serious thought into their design, & I like that. Unlike so many electronics made today, this is not the kind of technology that will become an obsolete investment within a year.

Scientifically, I don't know how the Nova Pro audio programs clinically compare to the David Pal machine, but I have got mileage out of both. I found the sound programs on both machines to be useful. My teacher, who is far more cool than I (& co-author of, "I Ching Made Easy: Be Your Own Psychic Advisor Using the World's Oldest Oracle") reports seeing all kinds of colors & 3D patterned images, objects, & places while using S&L with just white glasses. For some reason however, I never did. I saw a lot of neat spinning geometric images & designs, but they consistently offered a very 1 dimensional experience. Somehow, I was missing out on something...

I started to become bored with The True White glasses after about a month. The audio is said to be effective even without glasses. But to me, it seems counter-intuitive to apply the same color of light to all audio programs, used to achieve different, if not opposite, results. The True White glasses, are both figuratively & literally (re the yellowish color seen through the eyelids), very "vanilla"...... And, unless you hit a sale Color Track glasses are $200 to purchase separately so you may well be better off purchasing the Nova Pro 100 with the Color Track glasses, right off the bat. Ultimately, you may really wish you had. It helps to buffer sticker shock that there is a 30 day satisfaction guarantee.

So... I splurged & got myself the Photosonix Color Track glasses for Christmas. My teacher indicated color S&L glasses are produced mostly for their entertainment value, vs. therapeutic value re energization, relaxation, & meditation. He is right that we really don't 'need' color to derive therapeutic value from S&L. But I have become a believer in "color therapy"... I'm highly sensitive to the different effects of various colors on mental states. So I decided to give Color Track glasses a shot, & I'm glad I did.

The Nova Pro 100 when used with the Color Track glasses becomes like using a whole different S&L machine... The difference is so marked, it defies the English language. I not only get color therapy benefits from using different frequencies of light but suddenly, the visual patterns they generate take on a far more widely expansive, intricately detailed, animated, 3D effect, with a *profound* degree of depth the white glasses did not produce. I have a great time experimenting with the different colors & brightnesses, in combination with audio. Your overall S&L experience will depend on all 3 the audio, the color setting, & the brightness. Have fun with them, & see how your outlook, thoughts, & feelings change. Like my teacher, now I can see all kinds of detailed 3 dimensional experiences & even colors the LED lights aren't physically showing me. It's amazing. Perhaps it has to do with the difference in the type of LED lights that are used. The standard Photosonix glasses have large LED bulbs, but the Color Track glasses use multi-colored mini lights combined into 1 single component per each eye. The True White glasses will give useful results, & the mono-chromatic glasses no doubt will too but the multi-color glasses are so profound they induce amazed ramblings, superlatives, & expletives....... : D Combining S&L with Reiki, or crystal meditations, could prove interesting.

There's an "audio strobe" feature by which you can plug in your CD or MP3 player into EXT jack on the machine & strobe the glasses' lights to your favorite music. I have not used this feature yet, but am thinking of trying it out with Pink Floyd's "Pulse" show. :)

As for cons... The "Intensity" button on the Color Track glasses should really be 2 buttons one to increase, & one to decrease, brightness. Pressing just 1 button & "waiting 2 seconds" (which on mine, really is 4) to turn brightness up or down leads to too much confusion & distraction in the middle of a session. That issue admittedly produces some unexpectedly neat effects, but better control over brightness is needed.

Also, if you get the Color Track glasses, they're heavier than the other standard or premium Photosonix glasses. Be sure to put the headphones on first, or use them lying down, because you'll need to do so to hold the glasses in place.

So, to sum it up... If you really want to get the most out of your Nova Pro 100 the multi-color glasses are a must. In combination with Nova Pro 100 audio programs, the overall effect is a really pleasant thought clearing, mind renewing, emotionally cathartic, mind expansion session. Think of it as "rebooting your brain"...just the same as you might restart, or defrag, your PC, so that it runs more smoothly. If you resonate with Light & Sound therapy, this kit really is a great investment in your personal well-being.

Want Photosonix Nova Pro Light & Sound Machine Sensory with Colortrack Glasses Discount?

I purchased a Photosonix Nova Pro 100 Light and Sound Machine with Premium Colortrack Glasses and have been blown away by the quality and versatility they provide! This is a high tech commercial grade instrument. It is extremely easy for a beginner to use, but offers the well-initiated the ability to further expand the instrument's capabilities through download of more sessions. Each session can be further tailored to your tastes by modifying the pitch, ramps, and times of each session. The Colortrack glasses are amazing in the visual palette they provide.

I have found each category of session (Relax, Meditate, Sleep, Energize, Learn, etc.) to deliver the intended and desired effect. You emerge from each session with the physical and mental frame of mind you expected from the session.

Only one session left me feeling worse for the wear: Black Hole was depressing, with hints of death. I would not repeat that particular session. But, one out of 100 pre-programmed sessions certainly hasn't turned me off from the amazing generative powers of this device.

Overall, I highly recommend this product!

Avalon Aire Super Deluxe Chin Strap

Avalon Aire Super Deluxe Chin StrapI buy these for my Sleep Center. They are better than Respironics. They do not appear to stretch out and may even be softer on the face.

This may work for some people but I found it uncomfortable. I bought about 5 different anti snore devices, all under $30, some closer to $5, this one went into the charity bag after 5 minutes of wearing it. I put it on, laid down and my jaw started aching and I couldn't fall asleep. I hadn't ground my teeth in a long time but this started that up. So off to charity it goes.

But some people may be able to use it and find it comfortable but I will stick with the spirals that go into your nose! Those seem to work for me.

This chin strap has a problem. The larger part of the chin strap that goes around the chin and the top of the head is fine. However, the two velcro straps that go around the back of the head are too short and too tight. There isn't much way to fix this. That problem pretty much destroys the value of the chin strap.

Want Black, Satin Sleeping Cap, Breathable and Comfortable Material, Elastic Band, Large Size 20" to Acco Discount?

The cap came in a very timely manner. It was about a dollar when I purchased it, plus about five for shipping. The price altogether was worth it for me, because I live in an isolated tourist community where it would be very hard to find something like this, and more expensive. It is very comfortable, and I use it when I have hair rollers in my hair, or if I want to sleep with a french braid. It stays on while I sleep, is nice and soft, and not too tight. Pretty much all you need in a sleeping cap! The only thing is it might not be reasonable to most people who can just go to their local Wal Mart or whatever, I however cannot so it was worth it for me.

Pampers Baby Dry Diapers (Packaging May Vary)

Pampers Baby Dry Diapers Economy Plus Pack, Size 2, 228 CountI am a stay at home Mom with 4 children. I have been buying diapers for the past almost 11 years and Pampers Baby Dry is hands down the best diaper on the market, and believe me I have tried them all! All of my kids have been "super soakers" when it comes to pee. These diapers way out perform any other brand including major brands and department store brands. The major selling points for me are:

1. They are thin, easy to pack 5 in a diaper bag.

2. Easy to unfold with one hand (if you, like me frequently have to use the other hand to keep baby still)

3. tabs are easily opened without extra unfolding and don't rip off like several other brands.

4. Doesn't leave residue on baby or smell like pee when really soaked.

5. wider in the front to prevent baby from peeing out the side (and my kids are experts at this)

One thing that may be helpful is to remember that Pampers fit better on children that are long and skinny. If your baby is short and really chubby in the bottom, then Huggies will fit your baby better. This, I believe, explains the few complaints about Pampers not fitting or leaking.

Hope this review was helpful!

I made the huge mistake of buying the baby dry after reading through the reviews. I thought that for the price, why not try them. What a huge mistake! I should have just bought a smaller amount to try them first. Instead we have been using these for over a month now and I have had to clean up a poop spill at least every other day. My baby was 4 months old when we started using these and since she is not eating solids yet, the poop is pretty runny. The baby dry don't absorb the runny poop and it tends to just go right up the back side of the diaper onto her outfit and usually whatever or whoever she is lying on. It's just not worth the money saved! I will only buy the Swaddlers from now on. Hope this helps someone wondering which to buy Swaddlers or Baby Dry, DEFINITELY go with the SWADDLERS!!

There's a lot of mixed reviews...I just want to start by saying each diaper is going to work differently on each baby! They're not all shaped the same, they don't all go to the bathroom the same. It takes patience to find the right diaper for your baby. Just because my friend prefers swaddlers doesn't mean I do too. The Pampers Baby Dry is a good fit for my child. She's pretty small and long. I've noticed my friends with fuller, thicker babies don't have as much good luck. But for me, this is a great, thin, super-absorbant diaper that works well. The price is a great value as well.

Be aware though, no diaper will elimnate diaper rash! Despite how absorbant your diaper choice is, your baby will still at some point have diaper rash. My best luck has been butt paste diaper cream (All Natural Boudreaux's Butt Paste + FREE Baby Ganics Thick N' Kleen (Fragrance Free) Baby Wipes) because it seals up the sensitive skin and I can still re-diaper my girl right away without a lot of fuss. With diaper rash and rash cream, make sure the diaper doesn't rub anywhere to hard and that they've got some flexibility. The Baby Dry leaves plenty of room for my baby.

It must depend on your child because I tried the cruisers after always using baby dry on my son and they failed us several times. I went right back to baby dry and no more leaks. I have also tried other brands and I loved Huggies for my daughter but they don't work for my son. Funny how each is different. I am a mother of 4 and Luvs worked for my other son. You just go with what works for your child. I also have noticed that they work differently for different ages as well. Good idea to try a few out before you buy the jumbo packs.

I used to buy diapers at the store since my daughter was born but a friend of mines told me about amazon with the amazon mom & suscribe & save I realized I could get the same brand of diapers Pampers BabyDry and get it cheaper. When I enrolled I paid $30 for a case of 222 size nowNot even 2 weeks later the case price was raised to $36. Guess i'm going to start shopping back at the stores.

The diapers however are great! Haven't had any leaking problems since she was born and she is 9 months now.
