The first thing Swanson is a wonderful company,,I try to always buy from this company the prices excellent the quality great.
Someone told me CoQ10 is good for me...I had heard of it in passing then about a month ago I was talking to a friend and he told me the benefits of COQ10 but also that Ubiquinol is a much purer form.
I gave it one month to see what would change.
First it took like one week to see a change.
I breathe better ( I have asthma)
I sleep better.
I walk more,quickly and without as many breaks.
I have so much more energy it is mind blowing.
I have much much less pain in my back and legs.
I will always take this, and will recommend it being taken if you are lacking in CoQ10 (which I would imagine most of us are) taking Ubiquinol the purer form would be the best thing.
I assume I was having some difficulty getting as much oxygen as I needed because this certainly made a big big change!
Regarding the allergies I am surprised to hear about the possibility of this causing allergies, but I suppose it is possible. SO as always be aware of what you are taking and always tell your Dr.
I started with Coenzyme Q10 and started noticing an improvement in sleep and deep breathing (I have asthma) almost immediately! Upon further research, it sounded like Ubiquinol was a better option since it is absorbed better. I was still sleeping great on it dreaming more and waking up more refreshed but I started noticing my asthma seemed to be getting worse. I was having a harder time getting deep breaths and I started wondering whether I was having a reaction to it. But I wasn't having any other symptoms that I knew of, so I was unsure. Plus I take other supplements without any problem. I stopped for a couple days and then tried again and an hour and a half later had a hive show up on my neck! My throat also felt like it was getting tighter. This pretty much proved to me that I was having an allergic reaction. I emailed a doctor who had a lot of experience with Coq10 studies to get their opinion and they said it was possible I was having a late onset allergic reaction (although now that I think about it, the reaction started almost right away just not strong enough to be obvious) and if I was, to switch back to the Coenzyme Q10 Ubiquinone since it's made differently. I am VERY happy with Coenzyme Q10 in general along with Magnesium it's completely stopped my heart palpitations and the difference in sleep is awesome. I used to sleep at least 9 hours a night and still feel sleepy by late afternoon/early evening. Now my sleep must be more effective because I'm not getting sleepy that early and never need weekend afternoon naps anymore. I'm grateful that I can switch back to the Ubiquinone and still get the positive effects. Since most reviews on Ubiquinol are really good (and rightfully so for people who aren't allergic) I wanted to give a review about my reaction for any others who might be wondering if they are experiencing something similar.

The good thing about this product is that I could feel it working. It definitely made a different for me in the amount of energy I had.
However, the bad thing was that it was *too much* energy. I felt gittery, anxious, and hyperfocused. It could be that I got the 100mg kind. It also could be that I am taking other prescribed medications. Or maybe it was both. Still, though, with so many studies showing how great this stuff is for you, I am tempted to buy the 50mg to see how it is. When I popped the pills and squeezed out half, I seemed to feel none of those bad symptoms I described. I will probably buy some more when I can afford it!
Remember that this was just for me. I doubt this would have the same affect on everyone since most people are not taking these possibly interactive medications. I'm also 20 years old so it's possible that my body doesn't need quite as much as someone 10 years older might.

I have used melatonin as a sleep aid for years. I find the common 3mg tablets are more than necessary and prefer the lowest dosage of 1 mg.
