I discovered this on a recommendation of a friend to help with stress & anxiety. A lot of the reviews talk about the improved sleeping aspects of Kavinace, so I thought I'd chime in about how much it's improved my daytime quality of life. It works more subtly than other prescription chemicals that have multiple side effects like wooziness, difficulty concentrating, less clarity of thought, addiction, or mood swings. For me, Kavinace doesn't have any perceptible effects, except that I'm able to calmly and naturally handle my day-to-day responsibilities at work and at home. It's a wonderful feeling to realize partly through the day how effective I've been and how much I've been able to accomplish, all while smiling & laughing the whole way through. It's not something that I ever "notice" that I've taken I just feel happier and like I can handle whatever comes my way gracefully. This is an outstanding product that is the only thing I have found that helps me sleep. It contains a form of vitamin B6 called P5P. B6 is converted into the bioavailable form that can be used by cells, which is P5P. Some people can not do that conversion. I am one of them. I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and irritable bowel syndrome. I have MTHFR mutations that do not allow my body to convert B6 into P5P, and that is part of the cause of the fibro, CFS and IBS, and the sleep disturbances that accompany those disorders.
Furthermore, a new study from Hawaii just came out that shows that women that take P5P have a lower risk of developing breast cancer.

So, that basically sums it up. In order to protect the money-grabbing interests of this company, at whatever risk to the health of the general public, the federal government should step in and take the supplements out. I suppose that line of thought makes sense if you are a top official with Medicure Pharma.

The rapaciousness, greed, and mendacity of the drug companies knows no bounds. The only thing standing between them getting the FDA to ban all supplements and everything we need for our health is outraged consumers signing petitions of this sort and bombarding their elected representatives to rein in the FDA. I hope everyone that reads this will sign the petition so that Amazon and other companies can continue to market this fine product directly to the public without forcing us to go a doctor to get prescription for a vitamin that is critical to health.

I have fibromyalgia so sleep quality is always an issue. Kavinace is part of my ongoing coping regimen to get adequate sleep. I purchased this recently and am very pleased with the soothing, swishing, fan sound of this machine. I keep it at its highest level (which isn't really that loud or impressive until you actually go to sleep and discover it is perfect). Since my bedroom is directly above the family-room it nicely drowns out the sound. Another plus is that it isn't so loud that you aren't able to hear doors opening or closing which I consider a big plus. Personally, I think it is the perfect white noise machine, well made and worth the extra money to be rid of the clicks and clacks of the cheaper brands.
