Doxylamine succinate is different from the most common ingredient, Benadryl (diphenhydramine), which is in the vast majority of sleep aids.

Both are antihistamines, but for me, Doxylamine succinate acts faster and leaves me slight less drowsy in the morning. In fact, I usually take half of a tablet with good results.

It's hard to find in drug stores...so I was delighted to be able to buy it @ Amazon. Shortly after I got it, I did find it in Costco's at a lower price,hence the 4 star review. Oh well. I was just glad to get it period.

I usually buy generics, and was always thrilled with the savings I got. I have been using this product for a few years now, but in the past few months the quality went as far downhill as you can get. EVERY, and yes I mean every single pill from the last two boxes I bought break apart and powder before you can get them out of the package. No I'm not lame, and as a nurse, I do know how to dispense meds. I have bought my last box of Equate brand medications. Too bad. The savings were great.

first i'm like 230 lbs very thick guy and it put me out good. the weight because i was slightly groggy about an hour after waking. so if lighter you may want to try a half. dry mouth so you need a drink close to you. i also recommend a full eight hours of sleep more if you take a whole. works for me but everybody is different.

I have been using these for several years. The doxylamine succinate works best for me, but was becomming increasingly more difficult to find....until I looked on Amazon, that is! I take 1/2, fall asleep fast and never have a sleep hangover in the morning. The Equate brand is FAR less in price than the name brand and IS EXACTLY the same.
