Flents Light Shield Eye Mask, Pack of One

Flents Light Shield Eye Mask, Pack of OneI first used this exact same model of Light Shield sleepshade during WWII in 1943 when in the Navy in the Pacific. I have had one after the next on hand ever since--65 years! And I use them almost every day, for they guarantee sleep even when early morning sunlight streams in. Now in my retirement they are also used for mid-afternoon naps and provide complete darkness for restful sleep. They wear out over time, but a new one is always available.

I don't remember the manufacturer of the early sleepshades, but the Flent's sleepshades today are exactly the same design and perform just as well. I commend Flents for continuing the product, for there isn't another brand or model that does as good a job.

I've used many different sleep eye-shades in my Life and this one has got to be thee best one I've ever own. Many of the previous Eye-shades I've tried didn't completely block out light and often light peeked through from the nose bridge area or shifted around when you slept. This one completely blocks out light and the adjustable strap is a BIG plus instead of elastic straps that overtime wear out. Once I put this eye-shade on I can sleep all day without any disturbance. Excellent for people who work the night shift and sleeps during the day or any nocturnal person. I'd recommend it to anyone who hates sunlight disturbing their sleep or even artificial light from lamps like in an airplane flight.

Item was fairly priced, however, one of the straps on the item broke after the first nights use and I had to modify it for use again.

While lots of light gets blocked out, the elastic strap broke off one side within the first week. I had to knot it to hold it in place. You get what you pay for.
