I received a pair of Howard Leight Fusion ear plugs several years ago at a trade show and have been using them ever since. With some plugs you have to roll them between your fingers and wait from the foam to expand, while transfering whatever was on your fingers to the ear plugs and then into your ear. With these, you merely push them into your ear and after using put them back into the carry case. I re-used the same pair a couple hundred times. Some styrofoam types "swell up" after inserting and create presure in the ear area resulting in a headache. These are the most comfortable earplugs you'll ever wear, I've forgotten I had them in before. I highly recommend them.

Ear plugs fit comfortably, better than jelly type. I take them to the range and they do the job quite well, you can still hear up-close conversation while wearing them.

They arrived yesterday, so today I put a pair in my ears and went for a 200 mile mini-tour on my motorcycle. They did a good job of reducing the helmet wind noise. But when I got home and pulled them out, I found that the flanges were already losing their shape.

I have used other soft earplugs for the same purpose, they eventually all lost their shape, but NOT THE FIRST TIME I USED THEM! I have also used the throw-away foam plugs, but they don't stay in my left ear well.

I guess I will have to go to an Otologist and get some custom made (expensive) earplugs before I am satisfied.

ADDED: Today I checked them again to see if they have regained their original shape, and they have not. They will lose their shape more as I use them, so I won't be able to use them for very long. Can't someone make soft earplugs that don't take on a permanent set?

ADDED AGAIN: I have upgraded my 1 star rating to 4 stars. That little bit of 'set' has not gotten any worse after several more rides. They are working fine. By the way; I do not use the cord when motorcycle riding.

I didn't realize it was a 3 pack and ordered 2 so i got 6. thats ok since they are so cheap. bought them for shooting but used them on a long flight recently. they work pretty well but not as well as the regular old foam ear plugs
