Fiberaid Larch Tree Arabinogalactan (Ag) 250 grams (8.8 oz) Pwdr

Fiberaid Larch Tree Arabinogalactan 250 grams PwdrI've tried a lot of different fibers through the years, flax, chia, bran..... This is the first one that actually works for my messed up GI track and doesn't actually make me constipated. The available research on line states that it improves immune system, colon health blood lipids and they actually said that it's the only thing know to cleanse the lymphatic system besides using a mini-trampoline. It's helped my GI tract a lot. With the huge colon problem's that people in this country have, I'm amazed that more Drs. besides the Autor of Managing Leptin (which is where I learned about this fiber)aren't recommending it. If you're interested in improving your health you should try this and Swanson's has the best price and incrediable service.

Like a previous reviewer, I also ordered this for our dog, a west highland terrier. He is 14 yrs old and last year he started having anal gland problems for the first time, which were progressively getting worse. 6 months ago he had to be sedated to have them drained, then again 3 months after that, both times with heavy antibiotics. After 2 weeks, he was checked again & his ducts were completely blocked, so the prognosis was that the glands had to come out. We didn't want to put him through surgery at his age (& various other reasons too long to explain here) so I was desperate. I started searching for help online & read about arabinogalactan. I found it here on Amazon (of course!), and started him on it mid-May. 3 weeks after, he went in for another check & his glands were fine! It has now been over 2 months and he hasn't shown a single symptom at all. In the past year, we never went a week without issues. Maybe it's just luck, but I swear it is the arabinogalactan that has helped him so much. I realize it has only been 2 months, but it feels like a miracle to me. I will continue giving him this for the rest of his life, and am giving it to our other dog (16 yrs old) as well. It has no taste (I tried it) and I just mix a half scoop into his food twice a day couldn't be easier. We had come to the decision that we would not do the surgery on a 14 yr old dog, so we knew it was only a matter of time before we'd have to put him down. This truly has saved his life. I would highly recommend it to any dog owner whose pet is troubled by anal glands.

Update: January 2013: 8 months after starting this, our dog is still doing just fine!

First, I must say that arabinogalactan is my go-to medicine when I feel a cold or flu developing. It is a great immune enhancer, as well as being a good gut balancer. I don't take it regularly, just when I am feeling under the weather. It really helps me bounce back. And this is a great price, for a good amount.

For those of you that don't know, arabinogalactan is sourced from the larch tree, and helps the body to produce natural killer cells which fight viruses.

First of all, this is the cheapest source of Larch AG, anywhere. Secondly, I use it for my best friend, my dog. I had read about this product about a year ago while researching my dog's anal gland problem where she has to go to the Vet monthly to have them drained and treated, including using anesthetics. We tried the typical Vet suggestions like giving her pumpkin daily, etc. But nothing worked until I tried larch AG. It was recommended by other dog owners whose vets told them to try it. They swore by it and now that my girl's been on it for a year, her glands have been totally empty as of her exam yesterday. I give her 2 scoops daily mixed in with her dry food and warm water. One jar lasts for 2½ months, which is cheaper and less stressful than using a Vet! All dog owners whose dogs have anal gland problems should certainly give this treatment a try.

I purchased this product based on Byron Richards' recommendation of it for fibromyalgia. Frankly, I don't see how it does anything for fibromyalgia because it's completely fiber and not at all absorbed by the body. Also, it did nothing for my muscle/joint pain. However, as a fiber source, it's pretty nice. Seems to work. I liked having it and have just about used up the jar, but I am not planning to buy more. Will update if I change my mind.
