ResMed Mirage Quattro FX Full Face Mask Headgear (Small)
First off: this mediocre review relates to the product itself, not the supplier, who was outstanding. The product arrived in good shape, as advertised, and ahead of schedule.I really like the concept of the Quattro FX mask. It fits well, it doesn't obstruct my vision when I'm wearing it (thereby allowing me to watch tv while wearing the mask), and it doesn't leave marks on my forehead like the regular Quattro.
My only complaint is that the headgear stretches quickly and badly. I'm a medium, but if I buy the medium, it stretches beyond the limits of the velcro within a month. The smaller size is tight at first, but stretches very quickly into a more manageable size. And the velcro straps are short enough on the small that I don't stretch out of them for at least a few months. According to my respiratory therapist, I have the gear properly adjusted, the stretching is just a well known issue with this product.
I don't know if Resmed designed the stretching to encourage frequent replacement, but it is very annoying. Other headgears from Resmed and others don't seem to stretch this badly. If you've got the money to replace the mask on a monthly basis, the FX is a great system.

I bought a 4" 5.5 Memory Foam Mattress Topper from ALL SLEEP & I'm extremely pleased with it. I'm confined to a hospital bed due to an auto accident & was disabled prior to that from a severe back injury. It was difficult to get comfortable on a high quality mattress I'd bought but it was impossible to do so in the hospital bed. I researched this product & read reviews prior to buying it. ALL SLEEP provided a high quality product at a great price, with excellent delivery timing. The first night I used the machine, it effectively masked the sound, but I wasn't used to it and didn't sleep very well. However, with each use I have found it more conducive to restful sleep, as well as extremely effective in masking unwelcome noise. I like all of the "SoundStories" except the "white noise," which just sounds like static. I don't find the "campfire" very restful, either, but that's because living in an old row house makes one rather wary of the sound of flames! I have found that, as the instructions say, a lower "richness" level is more calming for sleeping.
I opted for this model because it came with pillow speakers at the same cost as the model without them. I now see that the model without pillow speakers is being offered at a lower price. In my opinion, the pillow speakers are not very effective, and it makes sense to pay less and do without them. I like to use earphones with mine, which allows the SoundStories to even more completely mask the external ruckus. My little girl loves listening to the machine through its normal speakers.
In short, my recommendations:
1) Stick with the machine for a few tries and get used to it.
2) Enhance its effectiveness by using earphones.
3) Don't be put off by Ecotones' relatively higher price compared with other brands. Based on the consumer reviews I've read of the other types, it's worth paying more for something that's effective and pleasant to use.I have tried a couple of these machines in the last year. Most were pretty poor quality, with poor reproduction and a clear breakpoint where the recording recycles. Not so the Duet. It has long recordings with seamless overlap. I like the Ocean best for sleeping, and the Meditation setting actually helps concentration. Top quality, I recommend it.
We just moved into a new apartment in NYC and were quite dismayed by the noisy upstairs neighbors and the occasional street nuts keeping us awake at night. The sounds we were dealing with were: stomping feet, thumping base from a stereo, late night TV, children playing in the hallway, the occasional car alarm, etc. Ahhh, New York City!
After a bit of research (price vs. quality) we decided to take a chance on the Ecotones Duet. The first night we set it for "Brook" with complete sound stories and lo and behold, not only did it mask all the annoying sounds, but within 30 minutes, we were both fast asleep. The timer was set for 90 minutes...and while we did not hear it fade...it was definitely off when we woke. At last!!! We can sleep again!
The "Adaptive Sound Technology" is great. Except if you start chatting in bed. It gets louder to cover up your speech.
We tried a few of the different settings to see which one masked the sounds better and found that for us that "Brook" was the thing. My wife really didn't like "Ocean". And the crickets in the "Meadow" were a bit overwhelming for our purposes. (And we found "other pleasures" from the fireplace sound. Light a candle, for a little more atmosphere, guys, and off you go.)
But truly, this machine can deal with a large variety of different sound issues. It gives you a lovely sounds cape to listen to, with random sounds breaking the monotony of a simple repetitive sound. Occasionally one can imagine little pieces of wood sloshing past, or a bird or squirrel rustling near the water's edge...next thing you know...it's morning and you've had another blissful night of sleep.I definitely like the sound from this machine I thought I would use white noise because I am used to keeping a bathroom vent fan on, but I like the waterfall sound. I use it to drown out my husband's snoring. It has worked pretty well, not perfect. He still wakes me up sometimes :) I also can't get the automatic sound adjustment feature to work. I tried to test it by making noise and nothing happened. So I just set it for the night and as I was trying to fall asleep, it kept getting quieter when there was no noise in the room? So I turn that off and just leave it on a steady volume. It stinks because I paid the high price for this feature, but since I like the noise, I am keeping it anyway. Would recommend, but it is expensive.I originally purchased the Sound Therapy Machine to cover out subtle dog noises very unwelcomed by my non-dog loving partner. So-so with that, but I found I love it when I work on my dissertation at home. The sound quality is really nice and the sounds are well done. I'm partial to brook and ocean. Thank you and good luck. Pros:
* Small, but well made and solid.
* The sounds are high class. They sound great! My favorite is the bonfire, my wife's is the city.
* Options galore! Many sounds to choose from. You can keep it simple or juice the sounds up by adjusting the settings.
* The adaptive setting works well. I'm told that it still doesn't drown out my snoring however, but wifey just kicks me...problem solved.
Cons:
*Honestly, nothing yet. If I run into any problems, I'll update this review.

I am very impressed with Deep Sleep. After taking Lunesta and Ambien CR for a year or two and noticing that my hair is thinning, I made a commitment to get off these drugs although lord knows they have given me the best sleep of my life (especially after losing my mom in Sept 2011). At any rate, I will admit I had a big fear about going off those drugs because it seemed like I just couldn't sleep without them. I went cold turkey (I know this is not recommended, but I didn't want to take another pill after researching and reading that it is probably the culprit in my thinning hair issue)and just could not sleep for days on end. I only bought from places where I could get a refund when I open the product, because after previous attempts with herbs and teas (By the way, teas suck! they actually kept me up by making me go to the bathroom all night ;-( I knew it was going to be challenging to find something that works since I was taking those strong drugs. Well I found it! Can't believe this Deep Sleep stuff actually works! I just started using Deep Sleep on Sunday and today is Tuesday so I was even more surprised that it worked for me this soon. I am here looking at buying more at Amazon because they were more expensive at the store where I purchased them from here at home. I gave it four stars because it can never be like the drugs I was taking, but it's damn near. For this to be herbs, it sure works well which impresses me because it's been almost comparable to the drugs in terms of helping me get to sleep and stay asleep. My sleep isn't as deep as it was with the drugs, but it is good enough for me. To add, I feel refreshed in the morning whereas at times, I would feel groggy from the drugs if I took them too late at night.I am really glad Deep Sleep works! Final thought, I read that this didn't work for a few. Herbs are interesting in that you have to keep trying different ones to see what works for your body (hence my 300.00 purchase). For example, although I have tried many energy related supplements, I have not found one that works for me as a 150lb 5'6 female (I mean I can take them and don't feel a thing) whereas they give my body building brother of 6'1 225lbs energy for days. Truth is some work and some don't and depending on how your body responds, that's really the only way you'll know.Update 3.18.2013
Unfortunately, these pills no longer work for me :-( I believe my body got immune to them so they stopped working about 2 months after I wrote this review. I am currently taking two of Swanson sleep products and for several months, they have been consistent at making me go to sleep at night. I pray that they won't stop working like these did.
My anxiety is usually related to work but it has been a very tough issue for me. I have tried everything and have always been otherwise very happy (lucky there). Ambien works and so does Xanax. I just got tired of having to see my doctor every 4 weeks and dealing with his inability to understand that this is something I have really worked to overcome on my own for decades now. He seemed to see this sleep issue as a character flaw and I felt judged. So I went to see the herbalist looking for a permanent course of action tht did not involve any addictive substances. My Ambien had become less reliable, and so some nights I did not sleep well. By using Deep Sleep in addition to the Ambien I am able to sleep soundly. i've had long-standing issues with insomnia & poor sleep. i've been searching for years for a product that would be strong enough to get me to sleep, and keep me asleep, without making the next day a hung-over mess.this product did almost nothing for me. i took it as the package recommends for about a week. i didn't experience any improvement. i doubled up the dose, and stayed with that for awhile. the higher dose left me a little more relaxed about an hour after taking it...but not enough to where i could sleep.
i suppose i could have increased the dose again, as there aren't high enough amounts of any one ingredient to worry much about overdosing, but at that rate, this product would no longer be cost effective.
i'm glad so many people have gotten help from this, but i'm definitely disappointed that it didn't work for me.

First of all, this is the cheapest source of Larch AG, anywhere. Secondly, I use it for my best friend, my dog. I had read about this product about a year ago while researching my dog's anal gland problem where she has to go to the Vet monthly to have them drained and treated, including using anesthetics. We tried the typical Vet suggestions like giving her pumpkin daily, etc. But nothing worked until I tried larch AG. It was recommended by other dog owners whose vets told them to try it. I purchased this product based on Byron Richards' recommendation of it for fibromyalgia. Frankly, I don't see how it does anything for fibromyalgia because it's completely fiber and not at all absorbed by the body. Also, it did nothing for my muscle/joint pain. However, as a fiber source, it's pretty nice. Seems to work. I liked having it and have just about used up the jar, but I am not planning to buy more. Will update if I change my mind.

I bought this item thinking I was buying Qualitest's version, with Qualitest being a very reputable company. I've never even heard of Pharbest. Not cool, seller. As someone who suffered from excessive sneezing I've tried a lot of the other OTC remedies with no luck. It's when I decided to give diphenhydramine a try that I don't have to worry about huge protracted bouts of sneezing in which I wind up rubbing my nose raw from all the tissues.While $4 for 100 25mg caps is quite a deal from the local WallyWorld this 1000-count container of 50mg caps will save me some money. I'm a return customer, having used this product for almost 2 years. This is my "go to" melatonin when I have to get to sleep early or need a good night's rest. While some might think that 20 mg is an awfully high dose, it's well within tolerance: a study in Denmark done a number of years ago had people on 80 mg a day for a year with no adverse side effects (details are on the Life Extension web site). I have found this brand and formulation of Melatonin to be very effective in aiding my sleep. It is nice to only have to take one pill to get 20mg. Rare to find this dosage.

In updating my experience with this Calcium/Magnesium Citrate powder, one must note that if you do have any form of inflamatory bowel disease, a little too much of this stuff [amount varies for the individual] will give you a very loose stool. While it is still best absorbed by people with Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns compared to other products, small doses are indicated, or else you will be staying very near the restroom. That having been said this is the best calcium/magnesium product and you get a half pound for just $6.00. On the other hand, people with chronic constipation get nothing but good from this product as it makes them very regular very fast.If you need Calcium and Magnesium Citrate powder, this "NOW" product is an excellent and reasonably priced choice. In addition to the obvious, it contains a reasonable dose of Vitamin D [100 IU per Tsp.] as well as Calcium and Magnesium in equal quantities, which is important for treating certain conditions and for general health. Of course if you really don't like the taste of this in any beverage or food, you can easily make your own capsules. Size "00", or "000" being the ideal as a therapeutic dose can be had with 1 or 2 capsules. One might ask, then why not just buy pills in the first place. The answer is simply this; why have the 3 needed nutrients adulterated with heat and fillers and in the process made less active and more difficult to assimilate?
This "NOW" Product is one of the few that offers both minerals in Citrate form. Many brands that offer Calcium Citrate sneak in Magnesium Oxide which in therapeutic doses can cause Diarrhea and is less readily absorbed by the digestive system, especially in older people or anyone with Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis.
While we are still pleased with this product I no longer plan to continue using it having Crohns, though my wife is taking it and having excellent results [she's normal I'm not]. I have found no acceptable alternative for myself but plan to make a hard target search in the literature.

First, a big thank you to Amazon for providing this forum. I am grateful for this.Bought this without looking to make sure it was gmo free. Bought NOW gmo-free lecithin--EXCELLENT product.(had to request that the Co-op store order gmo-free lecithin) Bought NOW gmo-free xylitol and have just re-ordered. Great product. Not only is this powder not gmo-free, it seems to be "hiding gmo content" because it is a calcium-mg. supp. It has a surprise-soy-derivative on the label. The supp. is not listed in NOW'S "COMPLETE LIST OF GMO-FREE PRODUCTS" on NOW's website. It has this dorky rating from some rating organization, which they proudly display. Its a "GMP" seal (not finding a gmo free indication saying otherwise, I thought it was for "genetically modified product" at first when it got here). I forgot to include this product with my other order I made the same evening, paying by mistake for standard shipping. This product is going back in the mail, still sealed. The soy or its possible infusion with herbicide may be why some are having problems with loose stools. The rest of the formula for this powder is "to die for", I think. I'm a 66 old lady (ha ha), still trying to exercise regularly, and have felt that mg. in the past has helped leg pain after. Now I need calcium also to combat a tired back, and hoped to get everything I need in a powder. Think again. Already have large capsules (triple OOO's)if it won't dissolve. Really thought that it would NOT be gmo, like so many other of their great products. Wouldn't be so grumpy---if we were not trying to volunteer to get the labeling initiative passed here in the golden state so gave it 2 for trying, and because it was bargain priced, instead of 1 star--LOL (No bargain)

I used to take these regularly a few years back. I had trouble finding this brand and they were hard to swallow anyway so I found something else. I like this mix of B with calcium and magnesium so when I ran accross them at Amazon, tried them again.But now 4 or 5 years later, I can hardly swallow them at all. So I grind them with my flax seed for my morning smoothie or in a mortar and pestle and add them to yogurt.
So they're big but they have good stuff in them.

My disclaimer: typical phosphatidylserine usage is for neurological benefits; with some medical doctors suggesting that neuro-PS can actually build neuro-receptors in the brain. Whether or not this is true, I make no claim. One of the only *known* side affects is an arrest in cortisol production, a hormone that initiates catabolism, and is also responsible for fat/cellulite retention. This is my purpose for using this supplement. Through a wholesome, primal diet, I have worked diligently to build up my health, and as an athlete, I was looking to better control my lean body mass with no side affects. So, taking 1 capsule of phosphatidylserine prior to bed puts off the catabolic affects (breakdown in the body) until around the time I awake, at which point I further arrest cortisol production with breakfast. That being said, this is an experiment, and I'm not a medical professional. While I will claim that I have seen these benefits, I have no formal evidence that this will work for anyone else. But honestly, in the past 3 months, with regular usage, and a solid diet, with proper exercise, I've dropped from 9.3% body fat to 7.0% with muscle gain and significant athletic performance increase.NOTE: Cortisol is a fundamentally important hormone in the body, and catabolism is a natural process that is NECESSARY for wellness and longevity. What I'm doing is simply *limiting* (or attempting to) the time spent in a catabolic state. I have achieved my goals with this product; it works very well for my intended purposes. As a "side affect" of my usage, it seems to work in the way it was intended. I am definitely cognitively more alert, have better memory retention, and my logic processes seem to be getting back to what they were when I had a 4.0 on high school. Is it a miracle drug? No, there's no such thing. Can it help? With time and proper use, I believe this can help most *healthy* people.
I hope that this helps someone, or at least gives you the impression that this is a good product, if you're looking for quality PS. The price isn't too shabby either!

I have been using this supplement for about 6 months. It's a great complement to my medication treatment for ADD/Anxiety, because it doesn't interact with my meds.Like medication, it does take several weeks to get in to your system, and you have to know the dose that's right for you. I'm taking 3 capsules per day,900mg total. This isn't for everyone, though.
I actually didn't see improvements in my memory/concentration until about 3 months in. It definately works! The only downside to it is that it's a pricey habit to keep up. And if I go off of it for longer than a week, it feels like i'm back at square one,and needing more of my medication.
*Another thing I noticed, is that I'm losing weight. Nothing significant, barely 1-2lbs per week with my diet & exercise..and I started off last year being nearly 100lbs overweight. I've been dieting for years, and only gained weight until now. So maybe there's something to this supplement?

I bought this to help bring down my high cortisol. I take one of these after dinner, and it helps me get to sleep and sleep through the night. My latest test shows that it did reduce my cortisol. I like that these are 300mg each, so I don't have to take 3 separate pills of 100mg, which is what most PS capsules are.
