As a rural letter carrier for many years, the thumb in my right hand takes alot of abuse. The doctor said I had arthritis in two places at the base of my thumb. I will eventually need surgery to correct the problem. Since I purchased the thumb brace, it has been tremendous help with the pain in my thumb. I am able to work my mail and handle all my duties without the brace getting in the way. I hope to put off surgery as long as possible and the brace seems to do the trick for now. Thanks so much,

This brace is comfortable enough not to interfere with sleep. It helped the arthritis pain in my thumb. I have small hands and the small/medium size worked well.

I bought this because, to be honest, it was black. I have osteoarthritis in my thumb joint and my hand gets worked ALOT in my line of work. The brace from my Dr. (hard plastic) hurts my thumb after time, my other OTC braces are nude/taupe color and get dirty really quickly. This brace fits well, I have smaller hands and really small wrists, however, it doesn't really offer that much thumb support as there is only one "stay" that runs along the outside of the thumb, I wish it had one on all sides, there is also isn't anything at the bottom of the opening for the stay, so it can tend to work itself out. I'll continue to use it, alternating w/my others until I probably go for the surgery.

This was just what my physical therapist ordered, and it was about 25% less than a different one at my local drugstore. Even after paying for overnight shipping the cost was still a bit less. It is lightweight, very comfortable, and does the job of calming the irritated tendon at the base of my thumb. Washable. Highly recommended.

I have tendinitis and arthritis in my right thumb that was causing intense pain. Once that pain subsided and I felt I could go back to crocheting and embroidery, I wanted something that would help prevent a relapse of the pain. This brace fits comfortably and doesn't make my hand sweat. It stabilizes the joint and keeps me from overworking it so I have had minimal pain while being able to continue my hobbies.
