Dr. Spainhower,Now that I've used the SmartGuard Elite for a couple of months to really test it out, I wanted to provide some feedback.
I have a small mouth, and I have a problem with clenching my teeth at night, especially on my right side, which causes considerable pain and can't be good for my teeth. After a night of clenching, I can't even chew anything tough.
I've tried many of the commercial mouth guards, but I can't say I ever found much difference between them. I found your original SmartGuard online, and it was the best thing I ever tried because it separates the teeth, rather than merely lining them with plastic. I was thrilled with it.
Now, for the last couple of months, I've been using the SmartGuard Elite and not only is it the best device I've ever used, it's the best I can imagine! Because the base is so much thicker, it widens the gap between all of my teeth, even my rear molars, I have never since been able to twist my mouth in such a way to allow contact between any unprotected teeth.
I do have a small mouth -as a kid, I needed to have teeth removed so they didn't crowd each other; I only grew one wisdom tooth, but that had to be removed as well. You warned me that the Elite might not work with a small mouth, but I'm here to report it works great for me. It probably covers a wider span on me than for someone with a larger mouth, but I feel that gives me added protection.
I have shaped enough boil-devices now that, despite the need to work quickly, I have learned you do have enough time to really shape it to your own mouth well, to really make sure it's well shaped before pulling it out and cooling it into its permanent position. So, once again, I did take those extra moments to make sure it was perfectly shaped to fit my teeth and gums.
I've never had any pain since I started wearing it. I can chew absolutely anything with ease.
It has never come out or fallen loose on its own. I know everyone's situation is different, but I think this will help lots of people.
I hope you never stop making these because I'm sure I'll be using it for the rest of my life.

I have sleep apnea, and have been trying to get a sleep program that works for me. I have tried almost everything, and this pillow was featured on TV with a popular doctor's daily show. I jumped on it thinking this was a magic fix. I used it for almost a year now on and off. This is my objective review. The first night, it ended up on the floor, and I grabbed my old pillow for the rest of the night. I re-read the do's and don't instructions included with the pillow. I had a Buckeye shade that I bought 8 years ago to use while I was flying back & forth across the Atlantic. Recently, in the apartment I rent -the owners pulled down the old vertical blinds which did a pretty good job of blacking out the sun and replaced them with cheap ones that did nothing.This was a problem because my bedroom, which has wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows with no break for 75 feet, faces due east on the 30th floor of the only high-rise in that direction. In the late spring and summer the sun rises to shine directly into my expansive window waking me up before 6:00 AM every morning -though I don't get to bed before midnight. Because of the particular window system, it was not possible to install blackout shades or curtains (which would have cost $1500 if it were possible.)
Desperate, I looked for my Buckeyes hoping they would help but couldn't find them. Even more desperate, I discovered that Amazon sold them -but Amazon sold others that were more highly rated by a larger number of people: Lewis n' Clark Comfort Eye and Sweet Dreams Contoured Sleep Mask. Since the latter two were really cheap, I bought both along with the expensive Buckeyes.
The Sweet Dreams did not have the cushion below the eyes to block at light and so were worthless. I do not see how they get so highly rated!?! The Lewis N Clark do have that cushion but are not well-enough constructed to let your eyes move uninterrupted which is critical for deep sleep -getting your REM (rapid eye movement.) But I have very long eyelashes and that is part of the problem. Plus it slid off during the night.
But the Buck Eye Shades worked like a charm, It took a few nights to figure out how to fit it on my head properly (pulling down the cushion below my eyes to stay there -and the right tightness and placement of the band around the back of my head) -but it blocked out the sun completely, left plenty of space under the mask for my eyes and eyelashes (which are quite long) to remain untouched -and it did not come off my head -even though I am a stomach sleeper and move around a lot at night.
So don't waste your money on the others -even though they are a lot cheaper -they just don't work or work as well.
If the Buck Eye worked in my circumstances, they will work in anyone's.
So get the Buckeyes -they are worth every penny. Your sleep quality and quantity is the single most important thing you can do for your health.
On the other hand, the Sweet Dreams mask is very silky & sexy and a really good item if you're into those kinds of experiences ;-) I would buy it for that :-)
Update: I just bought 2 more of the Bucky Eye Shades -a back-up for me (for when I can't find one) and one for my partner -though he likes the Sweet Dreams too.

I've only been taking this for a few days but have already noticed a lessening of restless legs (creepy-crawly sensations in the legs especially at night). I had to experiment with dosage and time of day. At first I took two tabs in the morning but found that caused me to feel very sleepy and low blood pressure-ish during the day. But when I took them at night, I woke up a few times during the night (strange). So, finally I took two tabs in the morning along with 500 mg calcium/vitamin D and that seems to be working. That would make my calcium/magnesium intake ratio almost 1:1 instead of the 2:1 I see suggested sometimes. I have found in the past that if I take calcium by itself I feel more energetic but also less able to sleep at night, more anxious and of course, the dreaded digestive issues! Furlesse Elevens Anti-Aging Patches for Frown Line Wrinkles
I really wanted to like these because let's face it, it takes a certain comfort level in your relationship to wear frownies to bed at night, and Furlesse are practically invisible. But they are just not as good as Frownies at eliminating those lines, and they also seem harder on the skin...left a reddish triangle that took hours to dissipate every morning! Hard to use on oily skin as well. Too bad. They are practically invisible from a distance so I do wear them around the house and while in the car until I run out. I just re-ordered my beloved Frownies.
These little strips are just what the doctor ordered! :) After one night, I saw a difference. I find keeping them on into the morning (when I use my laptop) also helped. Not only did they smooth out the skin and prevent me from furrowing while I wore them, but they are retraining my brow muscles by keeping them from furrowing and making me more aware when they do.
They aren't very visible (though my husband still picks on me at night XD ) and while they felt strange at first, I got used to them in about two nights (and slept fine those nights).
A couple things I noticed while using them -
1. Keep an eye out for any new creases that may start around them. You may need to readjust your strip's position. For me, a crease was created across the bridge of my nose where the bottom of the strip was. Last thing I needed is a new and strange wrinkle. So I just repositioned it a bunch lower and the creasing stopped.
2. These strips will grab onto hair! So if you have eyebrows that are closer together, hairy or a unibrow, be prepared for a "waxing" when you pull your furlesse strip off. For me, this wasn't a bad thing (I had fine hairs between my brows). It was like two beauty treatments in one, but I have to be careful about the rest of my brows since I put my strip low.
3. The forehead can get sore when starting to use these. Like I said before, the brow muscles get retrained and I think they may start to atrophy (at least mine probably are...I did most of my furrowing at night from stress). For me, this soreness went away after using the strips for a week.
All that aside, I'm very pleased with Furlesse. Way better and cheaper than botox or surgery (which I would never use), and it's been very effective for me. About a week of using the strips, my brow creases have disappeared--which blows my mind because I've been developing those lines for at least 4 years. :)

They are super gentle on my skin so I can wear them all day (at home -I'm lucky, I know) and it helps me from furrowing my brow as much. I LOVE these! They are Very Reusable, just by resticking them on the sticker sheet, then resticking them on you! Seem they might last several uses at least, which is what Frownies claim, though I've never been able to do that.I noticed a difference after one day. I use them primarily under my eyes, though forehead too, and they seem so effective have just begun sides of mouth also where I barely have any lines, but a smidge.
My wrinkles aren't super bad, though I have noticed a difference using these, worth the price of admission, for me! :)

I've bought this mask by coincidence and I must say: it's awesome! Good quality, soft, pleasant and 100% light blocking. Meanwhile I use it every night and I have to admit I'm much more rested in the morning since then. Also great for a nap and travelling. The idea with the coolpack is very tricky!
