I have used melatonin of many different brands for several years. Generally, it works well as long as I only use it occasionally and for short periods of time with breaks in between, otherwise I seem to get tolerant no matter what dose/brand. I do seem to have some degree of tolerance even after not taking it in a long time because I seem to need a higher dose now. That said, this product definitely acts more quickly and maybe even seems to have a slightly stronger effect than the same dose of other brands. I do worry about the long-term effects of taking such (relatively) high doses, but for occasional insomnia this product is effect and reasonably priced as compared with other brands of melatonin.
