I do not believe this is a hoax. I do believe however, it might not be the right product for everyone, but that can only be discovered by trying it out.
I found this at the airport and thought I would give it a try since I had a 4 and a half hour flight coming up.
Generally I am very fidgety throughout flights and I can never ever seem to sleep without knocking myself out with prescription meds. For a shorter flight I find using those a bit of an exaggeration so I figured I would try this.
After I settled myself into my seat, I drank the dream water and started reading my magazine. About 20 minutes later my eyes started getting heavy and I put my book away.
3 hours later I woke up refreshed with only an hour left to travel! I was so happy! I didn't feel groggy, I'd slept through the drink-service, hadn't been twisting and turning in my seat.

Please don't automatically assume this is a hoax, there are actually people that benefit from products like this.

I am a nurse that works night shift and travels frequently. Between the two, I have a funky sleep schedule and sometimes go through periods of extreme insomnia.
Then, at the airport in Long Beach, CA I found Dream Water. I was a little shocked at the price but decided to try it anyway. Because it was expensive, I tried half a shot and it worked, well, like a dream. A whole shot makes me do weird things in my sleep, but a half shot makes me fall asleep and get a good 6-8 hours with no hangover effect even during my severe episodes of insomnia.
As a nurse, I would like to recommend that you be careful taking it every day. One of the ingredients (5-HTP) can cause serotonin syndrome in certain doses. Since we don't know the exact dose they use, I would look up serotonin syndrome and be on the look out for side effects if you take it regularly. Just in case. I haven't had any side effects, but better safe than sorry.
Also, be careful mixing it with certain other meds used to adjust mood (anxiety/depression meds) or other sleep aids even natural ones. Just a heads up.

Throughout my life, I never had problems going to bed, and I never took any sleeping-related pills, until 2009, when some traumas happened to me that caused medical problems and increasing chronic pain. I saw this product at Wal-Mart and was a little skeptical. However I have always had trouble falling asleep and lately staying asleep because of noise and sunlight (I work overnight). I thought I would give this a try; $2.5 didn't seem that bad. I did not finish the entire bottle as I was afraid I would be groggy when I woke up for work, so I took 1/3 of the bottle and lay in bed. About 10 minutes later I was sound asleep and stayed asleep for a good 7 hours. I woke up refreshed and feeling like I had a good night's rest.

My wife and I go through frequent bouts of insomnia we both have demanding jobs and long commutes, so when the opportunity arises to get in a full 8hrs we seldom are capable of taking advantage.
Now I'm not sure how much is placebo effect and how much is active ingredients but the two of us have been sleeping like rocks since we started taking this stuff and it's a full, hearty sleep, not drug induced coma-type sleep.
