My Mother and I both have trouble sleeping and so we decided to give these a try. My Mother has trouble swallowing pills so I thought that this being a chewable would be good. These "Warm Milk" pills not only taste wonderful, but, they gently keep you sleeping. Both of us noticed that they helped us to relax and we slept better. No drugged up feeling in the morning either! Since both of us are on different medications were were happy to find something that doesn't interact with them. A gentle sleep aid that doesn't konk you out, like a drug, but, does seem to help one sleep deeper.

Has a mild effect not a knock out effect. Interestingly it does work if you are at the end of the day but it does not knock me out at mid afternoon if wide awake.

I've been struggling to get off sleep meds for a while. I am pretty happy with this product. It's yummy, natural, and after 1/2 hour or so after taking it I feel ready to sleep. Not completely off the sleep meds yet, but have been able to cut my dosage in half, then in thirds. Have not been able to do this before using melatonin or going cold turkey. Exercise helps, too, and I know I'll be meds-free soon.

Sound Oasis S-650-01 Sleep Sound Therapy System

I researched quite a few sound machines and finally settled on the Sound Oasis S-650-01 Sleep Sound Therapy System.

I really like it as the settings are pretty straight forward and the sound is perfect. The unit comes with two sound cards for variation. I especially like the Hawaiian Surf and Rain Forest. It's very relaxing and helps you drift off to sleep. When playing sounds, you have time options e.g. 30, 60, 90 minutes and as it approaches the time limit the sound gently fades away to quiet. I'm glad I chose this model.

My wife purchased this item after trying other things such as ear plugs, medicine, etc in order to help drown out my snoring. We had to end up sleeping in different beds until she purchased the Sound Oasis. This product has worked perfectly for us. It is a very good quality sound machine as my wife uses it with headphones in order to sleep since I am such a loud snorer. The only issue we have seen is what others mentioned about setting the time. It is a painstaking process to set the time of it but other than that it works perfect. The sounds are very high quality and ours came with an additional sound card. I was hesitant at first to buy it with the price tag but figured you get what you pay for and we found a great product in the sound oasis. We usually keep it plugged in with the adapter but just came back from a cruise and had to use it with batteries. A new set of 4 AA batteries lasted about a week in the machine. We did have one issue where it seemed like the Sound Oasis stopped working but we found the reset button located in the battery compartment. We pressed the reset button (after desperately searching for something small enough to fit in there) and the Sound Oasis starting working again like normal. I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a small compact sound machine.

This was sort of nice while it worked, however, it only worked for 4 days. It just freezes and won't do anything. There is a reset button that is only a temporary fix as it freezes up again in a few hours/days. You can't depend on it as an alarm clock as it may not be functioning in the morning. While it worked, the sounds were nice and it had some nice functions: timer, sound/sleep effects, etc. I thought the light was too bright and kept it turned off and it IS a pain in the butt to set the time and alarm (you have to hold the button down as it goes through the entire cycle to find the right time and you can't go back if you pass the time, you've got to do it all over again) if you have to get up at different times on different days, this is NOT the clock for you because changing the alarm is not easy. I'm returning mine.

UPDATE: Since this was a gift from my husband, I exchanged instead of returned the machine. The new one has been working properly for three plus weeks now. I still stand by all the previous problems mentioned (bright light, setting the clock, etc), HOWEVER, now that the sounds are functioning like they are supposed to, I am sleeping better than I have in a long time. I am a naturally terrible sleeper with frequent insomnia but I am falling asleep faster and sleeping better throughout the night since going to sleep to the Sleep Surf sound on the card. There really is something to the Delta wave sleep that is emphasized in Sleep Surf, Delta Voyage and Dream Echoes. I wish I could go to sleep to one sound and then wake up to another (the birds chirping would be nice) but this does not have that ability you wake up to either the same sound you went to sleep to or to a buzzer but I can live with that. Since I am sleeping so much better I've added another star to the rating.

Got this unit as a gift for asleep aid. It worked great with good sounds for 2 weeks. Then totally froze up! Snooze button, clock everything... no buttons would work battery or not. Just stopped....froze up... dark as night. I have just what you see in the picture. They need some serious re-tooling if a unit can just die like this.... cannot even use it as an alarm clock!! I now am left with a free standing unit that cannot turn on, light up.... but can me a paperweight at best. I cannot return as time expired for any full refund or exchange since did not get the gift until 2 weeks ago. I have tried other products called CALM that are Calcium Magnesium drinks. They work very well too but not as great as this one specifically "A-B" CALM. I don't even know what that means. I have trouble falling asleep, wake easily and often, and typically wake up sore. I pretty much never went to bed without taking at least one Excedrin or Tylenol PM. So when I got pregnant and couldn't take the Excedrin, and didn't want to keep popping Tylenol every night (even though Tylenol's safe for pregos), my hippie doctor recommended A-B Calm. I have been using Mind Design's subliminal CD's over the past several months & have experienced deep and significant changes by listening to them. Bucky 40 Blinks Mask

This is my second Bucky Blinks mask. My first one is over a year old, works flawlessly, and is still in great shape. The second one, well, now that's where the problem begins...

I've owned the second mask for about 2 months and the fabric on the mask is separating. If you look at the customer photos, someone posted a picture of what the problem looks like. This falling apart kind of makes the mask unusable since it becomes very uncomfortable. I contact Bucky and they are sending me a replacement free of charge. They were very apologetic and asked me questions, trying to deduce the cause of the problems so they could fix it. Clearly, I'm not the only one with this issue, so hopefully they'll get it fixed soon since the masks really work well. I was very impressed by their customer service. Good job, Bucky.

Fit:

The mask fits great around the nose for me, a 6' tall man with an average size nose, and a 7 1/4 head. My experience has been that masks with the nose section are made for people with smaller noses, and therefore, I always get light coming in in that area. The nose cutout on this mask reduces this problem by about 80% for me. There is still some light that comes in, but it's very, very minor now. I appreciate that I don't have any pressure on the bridge of the nose. Now that I've had a mask with the nose cutout, I don't think I could go back to the traditional masks.

The foam is nice and soft and although some people can blink while wearing the mask, I don't. I have long eyelashes so they brush on the inside and that kind of freaks me out.

The one small problem with this mask is the velcro attachment. When it's on, there is a pretty big bulge on the back of the head. I'm a side sleeper so I'm not bothered by it, but when I do lay on my back, I start to notice the bulge immediately. For a back sleeper, I would say that this mask would be terrible. It'll give me a headache if I lay like that for 5 minutes, so I'll slide the velcro up a little on my head just to get it out of the way. It's not a practical permanent solution for a back sleeper though, but it works as a short-term solution for my use.

Washing:

I've washed my original mask numerous times and it shows no sign of separating or deterioration.

Overall Opinion:

All-in-all I'm very happy with the mask. I'd give them some time to hopefully get the fabric separation problem fixed, but they'll get it fixed soon I'm sure. And if they don't, they've got great customer service that will take care of you. If you're a side or stomach sleeper, then you'll be very happy with the mask. If you're a back sleeper, then you'll want to find something else.

I am a side-sleeper and was looking for specifically for something that would work best for that it was fairly comfortable, but there was some light peeping through at the nose, and it kept shifting more than I would like. this is an amazing massage device. Besides the fact that it feels like I'm in a star trek episode, it feels really good too. There's a bunch of different functions you can play around with like vibrations, heating, pulsing, etc. it massages both the eyes and the head, most other ones I saw offer just one so that's definitely a plus. It does a better job on my neck than an actual masseuse does, plus it heats up to loosen up the muscles at the same time. A few other massagers I tried get pretty annoying since you can hear the thing working but this one put a few different "soothing" sounds. It would be cool if you could store a song or two so I could be listening to lady gaga instead of thunder and ocean sounds. The other slightly annoying thing is that its not that small and it covers your eyes so you have to be sitting down while using this (I guess all eye massagers work like that). Overall, this is a great little machine and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a massager. It also was designed and built really well so this is something that could last a while. I liked the cushioned compression on the eyes. The press and release sensation was soothing. The major drawbacks are the massage doohickeys on the back; they are hard, irritating and uncomfortable and that makes it all the more impossible to lie back on them. If they could devise a system as soft and therapeutic for the back of the head (and / or the sides) as they do the eyes, and one that could withstand resting ones head back as on a pillow I'd give it 5 stars. As it is, I will sit up and place something between my occipital lobe and the rear nodules. That's not what a massage should be all about.

When I saw this I was intrigued. Knowing what a tough critic I am and the high standards I have I wasn't expecting a whole lot but due to the reasonable price and Amazons easy returns I gave it a shot. Well I'm blown away. Firstly the quality of materials and build is first rate in every aspect down to the smallest detail. Not a hairline scratch or imperfect finish on anything within a mile. Completely and very easily adjustable fit from front to back and top to bottom. No adjustment for the width of the head so for fatheads this will not work for you. The fit adjustments are big easy to turn knobs that you use every time you put it on and take it off (at least the front to back adjustment).

Now for how it felt: Incredible! Seriously. Very strong comfortable pressure just like a good head massage should be (using only air pressurized cushioning). The directions leave alot to be desired in terms of explaining what the different modes do and how to operate them. Most people may not even figure out that you have to take it out of the default 'All functions mode" to even be able to adjust the vibrate and air pressure settings which I have no clue what they do. Other than that I feel like I should have paid six or seven hundred dollars for this thing. HIGHLY recommended.

ResMed Mirage Quattro Full Face Mask Frame System (Small)

I've used a number of different CPAP face masks, and so far this one works the best for me. The small one fits me best with the lower part resting in the crease between my lower lip and my chin. I have an average size woman's face, so unless you are a woman with a pretty large face, small will probably do. Medium would probably be fine for the average size man. The fit is comfortable and is adjusted with two velcro straps, one around the upper part of my head and one near the level of my mouth. After you adjust the velcro at the four locations, you can further adjust the mask for a good seal with a large plastic "screw" located near the forehead. The air hose attaches onto a swiveling attachment that allows you to toss and turn in bed while allowing the seal to remain firmly in place.

The head straps that fit this mask will wear out long before the mask itself. I guess the night-after-night pulling on the straps stretches them out, and the velcro becomes unusable. Once that happens, you need to buy new straps or they won't stay on. Plan on buying new straps about once a year. This mask does not come with the straps, but they are available here on Amazon as well.

Pros: I've used this mask for about 3 years. It is very sturdy and unlikely to wear out for a long time. It covers my entire nose and mouth which I prefer, because the partial masks that only cover your nose do not allow you to breath if you have a cold or are "stuffed up" due to allergies, etc. The full mask allows for mouth breathing if needed. The face cushion/gasket and forehead cushion are easy to remove and replace for cleaning. The swivel hose attachment works very well and is sturdy enough to last through years of pulling, tugging, and sleeping on without breaking.

Cons: Although I like this mask and will continue to use it, I have to voice my complaint about the face cushion/gasket made for it. I have found that the gasket material is so thin that it wears out pretty quickly. As soon as it becomes too soft or stretched, it no longer makes an adequate seal. I have to buy a replacement cushion about every 3 months. It helps to make sure your face is completely clean each night before wearing it and to clean the cushion/gasket once a week, but they still stretch out very quickly. I've used other styles of masks that had much thicker material that did not wear out like these do, but I didn't prefer the mask itself. I think the manufacturer should use a more durable gasket material, but then I guess they wouldn't sell as many, would they? Also, while the forehead cushion pops out quite easily to clean, it eventually starts to pop out too easily when adjusting the mask. I would like to see them made to fit a bit more securely in the mask.

If your insurance does not cover your CPAP mask, then my recommendation if you aren't sure which size to buy is to stop by a medical supply store and ask them to measure you for the correct size mask. It's just a little plastic thing they hold up to your face and use as a gauge. Then do your shopping here online. My medical supply store charges $190 for this same mask that is selling here on Amazon for $90, and they charge $55 for the same head strap that you can get here on Amazon for $28. So save yourself $127 and buy it on Amazon.

In conclusion, I would have to say the mask itself is well made and fits well. If the manufacturer would make a more durable and lasting gasket, I would have given it 5 stars.

I have bought 3 or 4 of these for my wife and daughter over the last few years and they love them. They always arrive promptly and I love that they take the time to add a hand-written thank-you-note. This is how internet shopping should be! We just lost one on vacation, so I'm coming back for another.

I purchased this sleep mask (before they were sold on Amazon) by doing a lot of searching the internet for the perfect one. I think I found it in this product! I love the lavender scent, it's very soothing when you are trying to relax and go to sleep. The sleep mask is snug and adjustable and very comfortable. I am most happy with how it has not stretched out, as was the problem with my old sleep masks (which were also too thin). This product uses a bra strap for the band and it is very durable. I have had mine for about a year and it truly works well. The only gripe I have is that, for my face, with chubby cheeks, I wish the cut of the shape were slightly less long on the parts that cover south of your nose. Additionally, I only use the satin side and over time, there has been some accumulation of sweat/oil which I am not sure how to clean off, due to the scented nature of the product. However, don't let either of those two things put you off. This product will be the only sleep mask brand you will ever need again.

I thought this was going to be great... and it IS beautiful, I admit... but the mask fits so snugly to your face even after adjustments, that you can't open your eyes behind it, like you can with the cheapies from Walgreens--which are indented so they don't touch your eyelids. Sleep Soundly Melatonin

First, let me say that much like the other folks who have discovered melatonin as an aid in helping their child get the rest they need...it is a God send!

But, what separates this product from the competition is the DOSAGE and TASTE!!! This is the only brand with a true 3.5mg per 2 dropper fulls... That means you get almost a full 1mg per HALF DROPPER... which makes mixing it with a juice box (or even milk) possible, and your kid will never taste it. I have an autistic daughter, and she can immediately tell if her juice tastes "funny" and good luck getting her to drink anymore after that. And trust me, no parent ever wants to go through the gut wrenching feeling of holding your kid down to give them doctor prescribed medicine, as they scream and cry with looks of fear and not-understanding... Thank God for this stuff! Half a dropper, gets her 1mg of melatonin, and she is ready for bed in about 20-30 minutes. If she has a really bad day, then the full two droppers (only 2ml) of liquid knocks her out in about a half hour. And even then, the taste is so faint that ANY type of juice (even the motts-for-totts 40% water) will mask it... I cannot say that for ANY other brand that we have tried.

ALL THE OTHER BRANDS FAIL TO TELL YOU JUST HOW MUCH YOU WILL BE NEEDING... I have to say, that this brand is the only one we will buy from now on! Do some simple math and you find that a 2 oz bottle of this melatonin (at 3.5mg per 2ml) is 30 doses per bottle. Compared to the Natrol Melatonin 1mg Liquid (at 1mg per 4ml) which is a mere 4 (yes, FOUR) doses per bottle, to get 3.5mg per dose.... The others are just not designed with ease of use, and assisting the parent in mind. I am amazed that this brand is not more widely publicized and advertised...

After years of trying to get my kids to bed at a decent hour I finally asked their pediatrician what to do. I had recently moved to California from Hawaii and had been sleeping on my roommate's spare futon mattress. When we moved to another house a few months later, I got a free futon couch frame from a co-worker, and figured that I would get a mattress to make use of it as my bed.

All my research led me to this 6.5 Full 4 Inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper. I was either going to get this or the 5. I decided on the 6.5, as I was afraid that the 5 might be a bit too soft (I've been sleeping on harder beds throughout my life rather than softer).

The mattress came in a small box about the size of a Playstation 3 box about 3-5 days after I ordered it. It was waiting at my front door as I left for work.

I unpacked it, left it out for about 24 hours, applied it to my futon mattress, and then lay on it. I wasn't used to it at all, and ended up tossing and turning for a few hours because of the heat retention. But once I did pass out, I didn't want to wake up! It was the best sleep I've had in a really long time!

I really do look forward to going to bed now, as it really is comfortable.

If you're looking for a topper because of back or body pains, or because you want a good nite's sleep, make sure you research. If you are used to sleeping on harder surfaces, make sure you get a larger pounds per foot number (6.5 vs 5). Thickness is also an important factor. You usually want 3-inches or thicker.

I'm definitely happy with my purchase. And I hope this review helps anyone who needs a foam memory topper to purchase the right one for them.

I'm an average build guy. I'm 5'10" and 170 Lbs. I bought the product, received the product and unpackaged the product like it said, which was essentially just letting it set for 48 hours before use.

After about the 3rd use, the indention of my body never recovered. The indention actually became permanent. I originally thought that this was normal. However, after continued use, I noticed that my back AND now neck were more sore than before I started using this memory foam. My theory would suggest that when my body falls back into the permanent indention, the effect of having my head and neck "raised" above normal due to the fact that my head would not create an indention, my back and now neck are significantly out of alignment.

I would not recommend this product at all.

I left my very nice and expensive Simmons bed behind along with my husband. I really regretted leaving the bed. Every other bed was too hard or too soft and my back just plain HURT. I could NOT afford to get a new Simmons bed, so I tried this memory foam topper on the cheap-used-hard-as-a-rock-bed I was using. I have slept much better at night, and felt much better during the day. Far less stiff and painful. FAR LESS. The quality of life I have gained from my hundred+ dollar investment was worth every penny and more. It's just so darn comfortable!! UPDATE**The review I wrote was for a 5.5 mattress topper, which is no longer available. Somehow my review got moved to this item, which is 6.5 density. I would not go with a higher density. As a matter of fact, I am looking for a new memory foam topper with a LOWER density, after my mom ordered one,and it felt even better than mine, which I didn't think was possible. After several years on my topper, new aches and pains are starting to arise, which are greatly increased on nights when I sleep somewhere else. SO either my topper is shot, or I just need to look at a lower density one. Also, wikipedia mentioned that densities above 5 are realy used for mattress toppers. SO this may a good compromise for two people, if one wants firm, and the other wants memory foam. Also, I woould get nothing less than 4"....I tried a 3" topper on a twin bed, thinking it would be fine....but nope, I can tell the difference. GO for the full four inches

Pyle Sport Pedometer

Received it yesterday. It looks and feels pretty good (metal trimming, large screen, etc.). Setting it was easy. Good instruction booklet. I have not done calibration yet. To do the calibration, you need to run or walk a known distance (increment by 100 m), while the pedometer records your personal movement pattern. I don't have a place with measured distances (like a stadium) in my neighborhood, so this part of setting is still pending. Now on the device's ability to accurately record number of steps. Before going out for my first walk with the device, I turned pedometer function on and put the gadget in my pocket. After I put on my sneakers and tied laces, I looked at the pedometer again. It showed 82 steps. Conclusion: don't wear it with pedometer function on while doing anything other than walking. This will mess up your step count. Then I actually walked with the pedometer first in my pocket and then clipped to my belt while counting steps. I did 5 "experiments". The results are as follows:

Actual number of steps 400.

The pedometer in the pocket:

1) 412

2) 415

The pedometer on the belt:

1) 402

2) 398

3) 399

As you can see, it's extremely accurate while being worn on the belt and overestimates while in the pocket

What I don't like about this gadget:

The calibration process is hard to do. Other brands have much easier procedures. For example, you choose any known distance (it does not have to be 100 m), count steps you walk it and measure time. Then input these three measurements into the device, and you are done. This can be done in your living room.

Inaccurate while kept in the pocket.

SET and SELECT keys are located on the opposite sides. Therefore, while pressing SET with your thumb, you inadvertently press SELECT with your index finger and visa verse.

But as I said, this pedometer is extremely, unrealistically accurate!

The pocket pedometers main selling point's convenience.

Without any straps or direct contact sensors to mess with it's accurate as all get out. I'm comparing against an ankle model i use and plan to keep. I turned 66 this year and started having dizzy spells on occasion. When i'm not feeling the best strapping the ankle model on is a workout in itself.

It works best in pants pocket as close to legs as possible.

This model works well.

Comfort Cloud Alternating Pressure Pad

I'm in a wheelchair, but not paralyzed. So when I'm uncomfortable in bed I feel it. First purchased a gel infused memory foam pad, returned it because it wasn't working for me. Then I purchased a different model pump and pad but it had no flaps to tuck under mattress and it didn't have an adjustable pressure knob. So then I ordered this one and it has everything I was looking for. So here's a list of Pro's and Con's...

Pro's:

1. Long flaps to tuck under mattress to help hold it in place.

2. Adjustable pressure knob to make bubble cells softer or harder. (Main reason I ordered a different model)

3. Very easy tubes to connect compared to last pump/pad I'm returning.

4. Very quiet pump as long as you put tube connection end at the foot of your bed.

5. Really good price. You can't put a price on being comfortable in bed and preventing bed sores.

Con's:

1. Makes it a little harder on my caregiver to turn/slide me on it, but trade-off is worth it to hopefully not get pressure sores.

2. The width feels vary narrow. I wish it had 1-2 rows to make it wider. (The reason I gave it 4/5 stars)

3. I like to use a thin head pillow but the bubble cells under my head when I'm on my side push into my ear a little.

I liked this pad so much when I got one for my husband's side of the bed, I ordered one for myself. This product was exactly as advertised in the description, and is an excellent buy for the price. While I have had it for less than a month, the pain I was experiencing in my back, hips, and shoulder due to rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia are relieved to the point that I can actually sleep for long periods of time now. It has been a long time since I was comfortable enough for that to happen. If there are any cons to this product, it is just that being made of a vinyl-like substance, you need to place a pad of some sort over it before placing the sheet to avoid sweating, but that is reasonable and easily remedied. I would recommend this product to anyone with pain due to an inadequate mattress and I found it worked as well as, if not better than, purchasing a new mattress for thousands of dollars.

Better Sleep Pillow - A Multi Position Pillow for Side Sleepers, Stomach Sleepers, Back Sleepers

I have purchased this product. It has one major flaw for a pillow. It smells like a tank of gasoline and even after a month of airing the pillow the smell does not go away. It is impossible to sleep in the same room as the pillow, much less with your nose right next to it. It has also few minor problems like it is shaped for women with thin long arms, otherwise you cannot fit them into the holes. But it is also too high, so women would probably break their neck trying to sleep on this pillow and too firm to adjust. I really tried hard to find a comfortable position to sleep on this pillow, but I found none. (I'm about 5"11" and 190 pound male.) Also the company claims they will not refund this item if you return it later than 14 days after purchase, but when I did, I got my full purchase price refunded by Amazon.

To sum it up, I could not imagine how to design a pillow that would be any worse fit for sleeping on, unless you just cut out a piece of asphalt road and put a cussion on it.

Also, be aware that most of the reviews on the internet are actually advertising sites put up by the company trying to sell this pillow and are fake, which I didn't realize until I bought it.

The chemical smell hit me in the face when I opened the package. I let the pillow air out for a week before using it, but the smell was still strong. So I covered the pillow with a pillowcase, then put another thin pillow over it, but woke up a few hours later with a headache because of the awful odor. The shape of the pillow does not allow the arm or hand under the edge or middle as advertised because the channels are too small.

I've taken Melatonin for years, always gave me a decent night sleep without having to resort to stronger sleeping pills that would guarantee me a rough next morning. I more recently added 5-HTP, 50 Grams (1.77 Oz) 5 HTP Griffonia Seed Extract Bulk Powder and have not only been sleeping more peacefully but I've also been feeling quite "right" lately. Melatonin

Melatonin and 5-HTP and ought to be talked about together. First, let me say that I am not a medical doctor and I don't play one on TV. I have read a great deal about this subject, however.

5-HTP is a precursor to seratonin and can transfer across the blood brain barrier easily. Melatonin is a downstream product of Seratonin, i.e it is made from Seratonin. So, if you take 5-HTP and Melatonin together, it's like filling up a bucket by pouring water into it and patching a leak in it at the same time.

You'll sleep better and if you are mildly depressed it will help. If you are more than mildly depressed you might want to go to a medical doctor and have your thyroid checked out for hypothyroidism.

It takes about a week for 5-HTP to build up in your body,if you aren't better after 5 to 7 days you might want to increase the dosage.

It is better to take melatonin sublingually,put it under your tongue and let it melt.

I haven't tried other Melatonin sleep aids so my experience is only with Natrol melatonin. I have found that 3mg is too high of a dose for me so I cut the tabs in half and only take 1.5mg at a time. Also, I have heard people say that they take melatonin every night and this is much better than taking other drugs like tylenol pm but I still think it's a bad idea to become totally dependent on melatonin. Another thing I have discovered is that if I get too much or too little sleep when taking melatonin I feel worse than I would if I did not take it. For example if I get under 6 hours of sleep or over 9 hours of sleep I will feel even groggier in the morning than I normally would. The whole purpose of melatonin is to reset your sleep cycle so this product is great if you have become an insomniac for a few days and need to get back into a normal sleep cycle.

This can certainly put you to sleep and keep you asleep. It also gives me a TON of dreams and I always wake up feeling refreshed and without any hangover. I do not recommend taking more than the recommended dose because you may wake up in the middle of the night, for me this is usually cause by intense dreaming. 1.5mg or less may even be enough for some people. I sometimes take this along with 5-HTP for sleep and boy the two combined can really give you a pleasant and recuperative sleep. I recommend trying it.
