Although these are advertised as king-size, they lack 4" to 6" of fitting my pillows lengthwise. It's a good thing there were two of them as I used them both to cover my pillow. Since they have zippers, this is not an ideal solution. Guess I'll keep looking and use these when I travel.

If you are planning to use this for bed, just get a bonnet. It comes off at night and if you have long hair, it's hard to wrap it with the triangle shape that it comes in. The whole scarf is a square, but the satiny part is only 1/2 of the scarf.

My husband and I have used similar nose clips in the past. They worked very well to eliminate snoring, but have become hard to find. These looked like the closest thing to what we had bought before. My eldest son often goes through periods of insomnia. He says that he just can't turn off his brain. We usually start with a guided relaxation exercise like Visions of Sugarplums Guided Journeys. (We really like the "Island of Wishes.")If that doesn't work, then it's three Hyland's Calms Forte under the tongue. They seem to work like a charm, and usually he's out within 20-30 minutes vs. 3 hours.
I've taken them as well on occasion. :)
If your child has chronic insomnia (as mine does), then I'd recommend the following:
1) Plenty of exercise--make sure they're outside playing at least one hour per day--preferably two.
2) Make sure that their room is dark enough for sleep. Night lights are fine, but some are so bright that they can interfere.
3) Have your bedtime routine...and wind down. Ours includes reading (either story time or on one's own)...as well as prayers...and a guided meditation (see above.)
4) Try something with tryptophan before bed...our favorite is milk and a banana. (Can do hot chocolate (made with milk) too.)

Attention all parents, stock up on this product!!! For our toddler these have been a life saver, whenever he has one of his moods, we reach for the calms forte. Marsona 1288A Programmable Sound Conditioner
My wife and I like the sound of the ocean so we run this machine during the daytime as well as night. The digital recordings are very clear and true-to-life. We can play two sounds at once like sea gulls over the ocean. There is plenty of volume and the controls are intuitive if you're used to digital products. The only drawbacks is that I can sense the repetition in the gull recordings when I'm awake. It's a good product overall if you're an insomniac or have a baby.
This device has ~8 background sounds (2 rain, 2 waves, etc). I don't notice the problem with looping mentioned by others. There are ~8 overlay sounds which can be combined with the background noisemainly various birds. Several of the bird sounds are a little unpleasant; when I first heard the owl I thought one of my kids was hurt.
My main gripe with this product is that when you keep it close by, there is a clear static background hiss at most volumes which becomes very annoying. I think if you were to keep it tucked further away into a corner that would not be an issue.
Thinking about it now, this device really doesn't do anything that a couple of $15 nature CDs can't do, & the CDs would likely have better sound quality.

The Marsona is an excellent idea. It basically allows you to create your own mix of nature/white noise sounds to sleep by. Let me start by saying that I use this product nightly and really enjoy it but I'm still looking for something better.Unfortunately, the built in speaker is very poor. I really couldn't get past the bad sound quality when I was trying to sleep. It was like trying to listen to a radio through a fast-food drive-through speaker.
I then hooked the line-out to my Bose clock-radio, which did make the sound tolerable. However, the sample-rate of the sounds recorded/simulated are of low quality, so they really can't be improved too much by a better speaker system.
On the good side, the sound variety and ability to mix sounds is wonderful. This provides you with a large combination of effects. If you want a surf with sea birds, bouys and loons one night, then a stream with hawks and frogs the next, it is easy. Don't like frogs? Add an owl instead.
My sleep is very important, and I'm willing to pay a lot for a better quality sound conditioner. Improve the sample rate of the sound and try again.

My teenage son has a condition known as misophonia, where certain sounds cause him extreme anxiety and panic. The only treatment we've heard of for it is anti-anxiety medication. I love this supplement. I have used melatonin on and off for many years. It is often the only thing that would help me rest. I didn't like the pill for. I went to The Value Bay's storefront and between the 5 star reviews (hmmm I wonder who wrote those?) I found other complaints from people that had received expired products from this seller. If this product is ever offered directly from Amazon I'd definitely buy it but I will NOT purchase anything that comes from The Value Bay again. Amazon was great when I contacted them and gave me a full refund. The Value Bay's expired skin creme is going in the garbage.

Loreal Dermo Expertise Skin Genesis night is an affordable quality product.I wanted a night treatment that was light, was moisturising and would improve my skin's texture and look.

I received this night cream as a gift, along with some Oil of Olay Regenerist products (saved me alot of $$). I immediately took to the Loreal product over Oil of Olay's to my surprise. I LOVED the scent--very fresh, similar to freshly-sliced cucumber--over Olay's flowery-scented creams that remind me of a grandma perfume(yuck).The cream is non-greasy; a combination between an gel and cream texture, that creates a transparent, thin film when applied. This thin application absorbs fully after a couple minutes without any oily feel.

First off, $70? You can get this WAY cheaper from Origins.com or Macy's.Secondly, it's a tinted moisturizer. It's not a "white lotion that blends to your skin color". It's not magic. It has little beads of color and when you rub it into your face, they break open and you get a slight tint. If you're anything other than fair skinned, it's going to have little to no effect.
It has too little SPF for me to use it as a daily moisturizer and it doesn't have enough coverage for me to use it as a foundation, worst of both worlds.

I've used other over the counter products to get and stay asleep but usually they only get me there... and a few hours later I'm up again. Plus, most of them are variations on Benadryl and thus dry your sinuses and mouth out.This one (active ingredient doxylamine succinate) doesn't get me to sleep very fast (about a half hour), but once I'm there, it's great. I sleep through til morning. I'm going through an early change of life and get hot flashes, and now I usually sleep through them. Finally I wake up feeling pretty rested. After 8 hours, I have no dry mouth, and rarely feel any kind of drug hangover unless I have exceeded the recommended dosage (which I don't advise, of course).
This formula is available in many places in stores or on the net. The reason I bought these is because they come in bottles, and not those annoying little aluminum-peely bubble cards that are a serious pain to open. Now I take one, brush my teeth and am off to bed in a flash.

The main ingredient in this product also appears in Unisom and Nyquil Cough & Cold. It is processed by your body more slowly than the ingredient in Tylenol PM (diphenhydraminethe same ingredient in Benadryl). So it can help you stay asleep longer but can also leave you feeling groggy in the morning. So the dosage could be lowered if you're too tired the next day. Or I would recommend trying generic Benadryl first since it's way cheaper and generally doesn't linger the next day. My husband and I used to purchase unisom at the grocery store for $10 for a small pack. The pack was a pain to access as you had to pull away the backs. These work the same (look the same), are cheaper and easier to access. What more could you ask for?
Mabis Steam Inhaler
Wonderful inhalation steamer for sinus conditions. I have been plagued with bad chronic sinus conditions for the past 16 years and have been miserable. Four surgeries and still problems. Countless antibiotics, steroid sprays and tablets, etc. Daily treatments morning and evening with the Mabis and the use of NeilMed sinus rinse saline packets has finally given me my life back to a quite productive state again. The Mabis puts out the very necessary copious amounts of steam where other steamers I have owned have failed. The key is that the Mabis concentrates the steam where necessary, into the nasal passages via the small nasal mask. However, it would be an improvement if Mabis would provide a nasal adapter (such as nebulizers have)that directs the steam straight into the nostrils instead of the the small mask which allows the steam to affect the entire nose area. The angled chimney of the inhaler makes it easier to use. However, it too could be improved by the use of a flexible tube or at least have a little more angle so the unit can be easier to use while sitting upright instead of having to hunch over. They should also include more than one misting orifice because saline mixes and hard water will tend to clog the very tiny hole in the mister. Mabis does supply a small cleaning tool (a wire) to ream out a clogged orifice. If you have significant sinus trouble this unit is the best thing you will find. I have used several different devices including the KAZ (no longer made), Vicks (too little steam and not effective, facial type rather than a sinus device). Vicks vaporizer with use of a towel(works but is very hot and brutal on the face). I have used essential oils like cinnamon, clove, thyme, tea tree in the Kaz unit and obtained some relief but the Mabis and saline mix really has been the most beneficial. It doesn't cure anything but it sure brings some quality of life back. I can't recommend this device enough. It is very portable and can be easily packed and taken on trips. I used it in my van with an inverter on a recent long trip which was very convenient. I also use it in my sailboat. It utilizes a very small amount of water which makes it simple to use in a mobile fashion. It is easy to clean as well. I suffer 24/7 with chronic sinus, been to countless doctors, taken all types of meds, had multiple surgeries and this little machine at a tiny fraction of the cost has been a big player in my regaining some quality of life. The NeilMed sailine packets are convenient and work well with the unit, I use about a third of a packet with each Mabis session. I have no interest whatsoever with Neilmed. It's just a convenient sailine product I found at the drugstore and it has helped, so you should know about it. The Mabis is the best steamer you will ever use, don't waste your $$$ on the other feeble steamers like I did.
I was shopping for a new humidifier, and not finding much, when it occurred to me that there might be a better steam inhaler than the one I used to have. I came to Amazon and looked around, and decided on the Mabis. I am glad I did! This item definitely does the job, giving off copious amounts of hot wet steam, which is the perfect remedy for my dry burnt-feeling sinuses. You can even adjust it for the kind of steam you want!
My only quibble is that it says in the instructions that the operating time is 6-9 minutes; it seems to be closer to around 15, which is OK with me. The main thing is that, because of this device, I've gotten some sleep that I otherwise would have missed.The design of the inhaler is revolutionary. I found it easy to use and it has done a wonderful job for me. I use it with the attached aromatherapy chamber. It's doing an excellent job of relieving my allergies. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this unit to friends and family. I had a question for customer service. I called the toll free number and received courteous and prompt service. Having used both this and Vicks inhalers, I lean in favor of Vicks.This unit generates lots of visible fine mist, mixed with actual steam. I suspect this is what prompted some users to comment on how much steam this unit generates. I admit the possibility that this may be the optimal approach to some medical applications, but I think for chronic sinus problems what you need is the actual steam. Vicks produces more steam, which is invisible, and no mist. This unit's design is convoluted and in some aspects just plain bizarre (in-line power switch for example). Adding water, regulating mist size all these functions are inconveniently designed and awkward to accomplish.
So it gets the job done, but in the hindsight I wish I got another Vicks.

I was worried about reading the lack of steam by another reviewer but most reviewers seemed happy with it, so I bought it. Using plain tap water (our Maryland water is hard), the inhaler made strong, gentle, steady steam in less than 45 seconds. The steam lasted about 9 minutes before it decreased.I would like to have the steam last longer but as it was with trying to breath as fast and as deeply as I could, I was almost hyperventilating in the 9 minutes. The unit has to cool down before you can add more water and you are warned not to over-fill the unit.
The mask is made of a soft, flexible plastic so it was comfortable. I found it easiest just to hold the unit to my face, since resting it on a tissue box caused me to have to bend down. You will probably need an extension cord, since the cord is not very long (if you are using a wall outlet) although if you are using a higher bathroom outlet, it would be fine.
It was very easy to fill open white top, unscrew lid, add measured water, put back together, and turn on. The only little complaint is you should disassemble the pieces and let them dry, so I have had to leave the unit in pieces on a towel to dry for a day.
I have always hated using the old fashioned method of putting my head over boiling water with a towel to breath in the steam. This was much nicer and my face didn't get hot or feel burned. I found this inhaler to be comfortable and convenient.
I had a cold and with using this unit three or four times, I didn't get a sinus infection and I think it helped the cold to be less severe and go away faster. I also rinse my sinuses with a Neti pot with a baking soda/salt solution and very warm water. I have used the Neti pot before and still got a sinus infection but this time with using the steam inhaler, I didn't.
For people with sinus problems, allergies, or prone to cold, I do think using a Neti pot to rinse your sinuses is very helpful. I read about it in a "Sinus Survival" book and my good friend said she hasn't had a sinus infection in years since she started using a Neti Pot every day. I only use the Neti pot when there is a lot of pollen, after yard work, been with lots of people (especially sick ones), when I have a stuffy nose or feel "something" coming on.
