Dream Essentials Infinity Sleep Mask, Royal Purple

I love this mask! I have been under such enormous stress that my sleeping habits have gone from "sleeps like a stone" to "wakes up at every little thing." This sleep mask has been a ENORMOUS help in my recent insomnia. It has quite literally saved my sanity. I found it very nice that the mask came with little earplugs, too even though I rarely use them.

It not only blocks light very effectively, but is super comfy on my eyes and face. one little note: I have a small head and big ears (yes, like a monkey) and I found that the mask is sometimes uncomfortable on my ears if I sleep with the strap too high on my head, it pops off, and if I sleep with it too low, it can hurt my ears a little. I had a cheaper mask for awhile that didn't block as much light, but it did have a thin double strap, so I could put put one above my ears and one below if I could graft that strap design onto this mask, I would be in sleepy-time heaven.

I have purchased many sleep masks in the past and this one if by far my favorite. Most lesser qualtiy masks attach too low on the mask resulting in the mask attaching band chaffing my ears. While not perfect in this regard, the Infinity Sleep Mask is attached higher on the mask resulting in less chaffing. I really like the indentations to allow for REM. Very comfortable overall. Don't pay the over inflated prices for masks at the airport, plan ahead and get the best for around for a little less money/

I purchased this sleep mask as the early morning light is very prominent in our bedroom making it difficult for me to sleep. I also use the mask when I take a short nap in the afternoon.

This is by far the most comfortable sleep mask that I've ever owned, however it's only comfortable if you sleep on your back. When sleeping in this position, the mask blocks out 100% of the light and is so soft that you're not even aware that you're wearing it. It's truly wonderful when used in this fashion. The problem arises when you try to use the mask while sleeping on your side. Doing so is a completely different experience, as the somewhat rigid edges of the mask make it uncomfortable when your face is sideways on your pillow. When using it in this fashion, the comfort factor disappears, as the edges can be felt pushing into your face. The best way to remedy this is to push your hand down on the section of pillow that your face will be resting. If you do this, you'll still notice some discomfort, but at least it will be bearable.

The bottom line is that this sleep mask is superb for back sleepers, but not recommended for side sleepers. I primarily sleep on my back, but occasionally do so on my side. I've deducted 1 star for this reason, but each person will be different. If you only sleep on your back, this is a 5 star product, however if you only sleep on your side you'll probably not like it at all.

Pros:

Blocks out 100% of the light.

Very soft and comfortable when sleeping on your back.

No pressure on your eyes; it's hard to know that you're even wearing it.

Velcro fasteners ensure that the mask fits properly.

Cons:

Uncomfortable when sleeping on your side.

Would I buy it again: Yes, but with reservations as it's not comfortable when sleeping on my side.

I ordered this hoping it would take away the pain from the ruptured disc's in my neck and torn rotator cuff. I gotta say, It WORKS!!! SOUND+SLEEP (Ecotones Duet) Adaptive Sound Machine, Black

This is at least the fourth "sound machine" I've bought, and it's the unquestionably the best.

First, you can't judge these things straight off. You have to spend time with them. Your brain will try to find patterns, and once it does, the sound machine can itself become an irritant. With this one, the white noise is still white noise after a month. No kidding, this qualifies as a Major Achievement.

Second, the "adaptive" sound setting works. As background noise levels change, so does the audio volume of the machine -the same thinking as is used on noise-cancelling headphones I assume. (It has a microphone to sample the background, and then it adjusts for that.) This doesn't handle everything an upstairs neighbor's high heels for instance but it does work for the bleeping and screeching of the garbage trucks, no mean feat.

There's a reassuring attention-to-detail in the design. There are two speakers: a woofer and tweeter which can actually be heard. Separate functions have separate buttons, which means this can be used easily by human beings. (Interfaces well with wetware) Where appropriate, the buttons typically have leds that light to show the settings. And, I don't know if the Display button is unique, but it ought to be mandatory for all electronics. Press *Display* and it will turn off all the machine's lights after 15 seconds.

Is this perfect? No. But in my experience, it's as close to perfect as actually exists. Strongly recommended.

I had purchased one of these when I was pregnant to help me and my husband sleep. Once I had the baby, we put it in her nursery to help her sleep (as well as mask ambient noise in the house to prevent waking her up). The unit is great; it provides a wide variety of very relaxing sounds, and the timer function is quite useful as well. The biggest problem is trying to pick which sound you want to listen to.

I was dismayed when it abruptly stopped working about a year after my purchase. I tried performing the "reset" operation, but nothing helped. I honestly figured I was screwed. On a whim, I emailed their customer service. WITHIN 5 DAYS (!!) I had a replacement mailed to my home. No questions asked. It's so easy to be cynical about customer service, but I was blown away. I would most definitely recommend this product, particularly given the excellent and expectation-exceeding service I have received.

Even though some people said that they experienced problems, they also said the company stood by their product. I bought this machine in April last year (2011). This sound machine is light years ahead of the cheaper drugstore brands. I have a difficult time falling asleep and staying asleep. Other cheaper sound machines had a distinct repeating/ scrolling sound loop... I could tell exactly where the repeat was and found myself waiting for it. This machine sounds completely natural, no identifiable repeat and you can customize the depth, clarity whatever. I have used it every night for about a year and cannot praise it enough. My favorites, the rainfall, bubbling brook and waterfall lull me to sleep. I keep it turned on all night so if I wake briefly I am able to quickly drift back to sleep. Yes it costs more, but a good night's sleep is defintely worth it. I hope they come out with a smaller travel size version.

I have basal arthritis and need to immobilize my thumbs to reduce pain and inflammation.I tried several thumb supports available on Amazon and elsewhere. This one has none of the flaws that the others' have.

Support: The brace along the thumb is pretty stiff, holding your thumb still when your not using it. But it will flex if you need to grab something. If you are typing, you can loosen the thumb strap, which of course gives you less support. Or you learn to whack the spacebar with a slightly different motion. Which brings me to:

Adjustable: Two Velcro straps control the pressure on your hand and wrist. A third controls the thumb tension. In no time you have this adjusted so it's comfortable to your needs. It works great on my moderately large hand. A really tiny hand might be a problem. I wear it while I sleep, and most of my waking day. Which leads to...

Comfort: I'm truly amazed. Of course I take it off to shower, or cook (don't want it smelling like raw fish). But unlike the PROLITE® PULL-ON THUMB SUPPORT, X-Large, Beige one that I tried, I can wear this all day. It's light, it breathes, and you can make it just as tight as you want.

I took all of my braces to an appointment with a hand specialist. This is the one he liked, also.

I'm a new mom with De Quervain's tenosynovitis I wanted a brace I could sleep in and also wear for part of the day. My first brace looked similar to this, but extended halfway up the forearm. At first I thought it'd be a good fit, but after wearing for a short while my thumb would get numb. (Say it fast: numb thumb, numb thumb, numb thumb!) It also was so big, it was hard to sleep comfortably or go about my day. It felt like I had a cast on my arm. Then I went the opposite direction and tried a soft neoprene glove-like brace. It didn't restrict my movements so much (or at all, for that matter), but it didn't breathe, and after 10 mins my hand was sweaty and I was dying to rip it off.

Now, this brace is perfect. I can wear it for hours with no numb thumb and no sweaty hands, and it allows me to work on the computer, drive, do anything I need to, and at the end of the day my pain is gone. Despite not being so long, it still limits wrist flexion (up and down) and completely prevents sideways movement in the wrist. The thumb strap can be very snug or very loose.

I only got one because thought I would use my old brace on the other hand, but this is so much better, I'll get a second one.

The Mueller Thumb Stabilizer fits my wrist well and the 3 velcro adjustments allows good adjustments. It certainly has helped the reduce the pain from arthritis in the base of both my thumbs.

However, wearing them inhibits my ability to cook, type and many other movements involving my fingers as well as the stabilized thumbs. Using a laptop computer is almost impossible. As a woman with fairly small hands as well as fingers and thumbs that are not long, the "glove" portion fits far up and I can't bend my hand or the tip of my thumb. That means I wear it all night but take it off as soon as I start making breakfast. There's also irritation between my thumbs and index finger because of the thickness of the product.

The next problem I have is the superior velcro which keeps the stabilizer in place. It's practically impossible to pull apart when both thumbs are arthritic. The effort required to remove them causes more pain in the thumbs, so I tend to start the pulling process with my teeth yea, I know, yuck.

Overall, I decided on 4 stars because I've seen significant improvement despite the awkward fit on my hand. However, I will probably look for a smaller "female" oriented product.

I was told that I have De Quervain's tenosynovitis as a result of overzealous one-handed leaf blowing this fall. So I purchased thumb support glove from my local Walmart. It is a bit cheaper, around $13.99. Even with 6% tax, it's still cheaper than Amazon and you don't have to wait for delivery.

This thumb support glove is just about perfect. It is black (for a nice cool look ;) ) and doesn't show dirt (I do wash it!). It has 3 velcro straps, one that straps in the thumb between the knuckle and joint. one near the bottom of my palm and one around the wrist. It as two long, very stiff support piece (probably metal) sown in. One support runs down the corner backside of the thumb, the other on the palmside. Both go all the way to the wrist. If I keep my thumb strapped in, it will keep the thumb-side of my hand completely immobilized. This is important for me as my pain isn't at the base of the thumb but starting at the wrist and travels a little up the forearm. My other thumb support glove only immobilize the thumb but do nothing for my wrist. I can feel intense pain if I rock hand from side to side.

I wear the glove 24-7 if I can. Whenever I wear my thumb "only" support glove sleeping, I wake up in terrible pain. With this glove, zero pain. It is comfortable and warm (bonus in winter!). I can do almost anything in it with some minor exceptions. Typing on a keyboard takes a bit of getting used but works. Like another reviewer said, you just have to move your thumb differently to press the space bar.

I gave this 5 stars but there is ONE problem with the glove. The bottom velcro strap at the wrist seems to be slightly different from the other two. Once it's been velcroed, it takes the strength of Hercules to un-velro it. It is even pulling up the little fibers from the strap. So now, I just keep it velcrored at the widest point. When I take the glove on and off, I unstrap the middle velcro and just slide my hand in and out. This also works well for me because if I make it too tight at the wrist, it pressure my pain points and makes it uncomfortable.

Overall, I love this glove and would have paid 3-4 times the amount to get the relief. I'm going to buy a second right away so that I can wear one while the other is in the wash. :D

Calcium Orotate 85 mg 60 Caps by Swanson Ultra

I'm wondering if orotate since it is the actual pure magnesium, it takes more of it to make an mg??? It's just unusual to see anything in 85 mg. KAL has 200 mg but it's a "large" tablet. So, one has to wonder why the mg is small unless the tablet is really big? Nothing wrong with the product. I love Swanson. Just don't want to have to take more than one cap and with 85 I should probably take two, and with only 60 caps I'd be ordering every month. Orotate is the type of magnesium Dr. Hans Napier recommends as easily assimilated, etc., etc.

Aqua*Tica Organic Botanical Night Cream, 2oz

First of allI do NOT work for Sweetsation Therapy. I wish I did!

I recently moved from San Franciscoborn and raisedto Colorado. SF has an average temperature of 53 or so degrees, and the humidity there rarely drops below 50%. Even on a clear, warm, sunny day, the air has a lot of moisture in it because of the City's proximity to the ocean. Coloradoso farhas weather that reminds me of Orange County. VERY warm [yepI was surprised] and EXTREMELY [to me, horrifyingly] dry. SF's highest elevated point is about 950 feet above sea level; here, I am 6,000 feet above sea level. And the sun here isrelentless. I love it here but after a long life of soothing, moisturizing fog and a gentle sun, it was quite a shock to my skin.

My skin has always been pretty good, and being in the beauty business myself and doing a lot of research on products and ingredients [and having good genes] people would guess my age as 15 or more years younger than I am. I never used foundation, just concealer and powder. My skincare routine was basic: cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and weekly masks. I had a pretty good regimen, and continued to use it after my move. [The only true beauty 'secret'? SUNSCREENa broad-spectrum onea teaspoon for the face and neck. Every day. Untreated window glass lets in UVA and other UV frequencies, too. Topical treatment can only do so much, but sunscreen will prevent the damage of photo-aging.]

Needless to say, my skin resembled 000 sandpaper after about two weeks of being here. I was taken aback at this metamorphosis, but thought heyI can fix this. I have sold cosmetics, and purchased treatment for decades. I have tried almost every new product I read about, and have even tried making my own skin care. My SF skin care no longer cut it, so I spent hundreds of dollarsand I am not wealthytrying to help my red, tight, dull, sun damaged, scratchy skin. I invested in pricey Colorado made treatment lines the locals swore by. I scoured health food stores and bought product after product. I tried shea butter; coconut oil; jojoba oil; serums; 'deep' moisturizing masks; I tried exfoliating, and not exfoliating. I drank gallons of water and bought two humidifiers and took a ton of fish oil and vitamin D [I still do those thingshere, you kind of have to.] Nothing worked. Product would just NOT moisturize my skin. I would wake up with a layer of treatment on my face, hoping for a change for the better. Serums with night cream with humidifierdidn't work. Nothing absorbed, and my face felt two sizes too small and was still splotchy and rough under my face-full of stuff. My skin just kept getting worse. It got to where I dreaded looking in the mirror.

I did a search on Amazon for 'organic skin care' and Sweetsation Therapy products popped up. If you aren't familiar with the website 'Skin Deep' you should check it out. They break down cosmetics and treatment by ingredient and give the products a rating according to their toxicity. Yestoxicity. Just because the FDA approves something doesn't mean it's 'good' for your skin or body. Sweetsation Therapy was started by an awesome woman named Natalja who, when pregnant, realized she wanted to use the healthiest products for her baby and for herself. All Sweetsation Therapy products get great reviews for safety on Skin Deep.

I decided to order the 'Bright Me Up' kit from Sweetsation, as, being a Black Irish San Franciscan, my skin was just getting nuked by the sun. Big brown splotches appeared on my cheeks, especially on my left side of my face exposed to more sun from driving. I CAN'T tan, and skin cancer runs in the family. I won't review all of the products in the kit here but I was impressed by them all. After ONE USE of the cleanser, followed by the toner, and especially the Very Berry Organic Oxygen Masque & Scrub, my skin felt better, and it looked better. But the star product for me, which I wish came in a gallon size, is the Aqua*Tica Organic Botanical Night Cream. I received a sample size in my order andoh my gosh. I had not realized how thirsty, how parched my skin really was until I used it. My skin literally drank it in. After ONE application, I checked my face in a magnifying mirror. The redness was gone. The little lines under my eyesI don't have wrinkles, and I'm 40 something [I've been wearing sunscreen since I was 11] had diminished. But what my skin felt most of all was RELIEF. My face didn't feel two sizes too small, for the first time in months. I placed an order for a full size IMMEDIATELY.

I have used some VERY expensive productsCreme de la [ ], all the big linesI used to work in a department store that had a huge cosmetics department, and I tried everything. I bought all those organic serums and masques et al andnothingNOTHINGhas ever, EVER worked as well, and as fast, as this cream.

Cons: I don't like the scent. It has an herbal scent that is too sharp for me. [It dissipates quickly.] I like fruity scents. But you know what? Now, I LOVE the scent, because it says: I am here, and I'm going to help you. This may all sound a little crazy but when you see your skin go from what people perceived as early thirties to nuked, lifeless, splotchy, and painfully drybelieve me, you're gonna love a product that helps that much, and right away. The other con is that as I previously mentioned I wish it came in a larger size. My skin just DRINKS this stuff in. That said, a tiny bit goes a long way. A pea-sized dab is enough for your face and neck. The price point, for the quality of this product, is a bargain. You will love, love, love this line, and especially this product. Save yourself the $$ I ended up spending and try this first. And the ingredient list? Good stuffand a lot of it. Check out Skin Deep.

Hints: apply while your face is still damp after cleansing/toning [her C*Perfect Skin Organic Foaming Face Cleanser with Enzymes, Antioxidants & Vitamin C, and C*Bella Organic Brightening Toner with Vitamin C and Enzymes are FANTASTIC] and use a bit more on very rough/red patches i.e. dryness at the sides of the nose, etc. and press/pat the product in to the skin. You don't need a lot of this cream; I was using more than I needed to because I was so used to nothing working. Believe methis stuff WORKS. I have very sensitive skin, too, and it was just improvedand soothedby her products.

By the waythe customer service at Sweetsation Therapy is second to none. I called to check on my order and got voice mail, so I left a messageI think it was on a Sundayand the owner of the company herself called me back. She is amazing. And you can tell she loves what she does and loves her customers. And we love her. Andthanks to this lineI now love my skin! By the wayI had my car stereo worked on last week, and I asked the tech for an analog, 'phonograph-y' sound if possible. 'Us oldies like that stuff,' I joked. He looked at me for a moment. Sweetsation therapy products are truly the healthiest. I have tried every over the counter product available only to find eventually they burned my eyes, or made matters worse. I came across these products on accident, however it was a great accident.

I am 33 years old, not pregnant, an avid bike rider, and live in the hot state of florida. Being in the sun all day takes a toll on you. I began using the sweetsation spf30 and spf50 products for when I ride my bike, and to a great surpise they do not wash off with the heat or sweat. Not to mention the ingredients are truly organic with no chemicals. NOt many people understand the effects of chemicals, but eventually they all will enter your bloodstream and potentially cause damage.

The night cream is super hydrating, not greasy at all, which is a great bonus. It has a light mild fragrance, but its a natural fragrance. When you put it on immedietly you feel and see a difference. I didn't even expect to see a different using any of the sweetsation products, I just wanted sun protection and something for after the sun. HOwever, the second you put it on, your face must really like it because you see a difference that almost takes your skin back years. The plus is it is all natural. If you are someone who uses moisturizers regular, stop with the high end products and over the counter products, they really are full of chemicals and dont do anything for you, but perhaps cause more damage.

Yes, the price is a little higher, however, they actually cost less because you need much less, literetly a pea size will cover your entire face. In the end, the health benefits and cost outwiegh any product available on the market.

The best part of this product line is the customer service. I contacted the company a few weeks ago with a question about the spf30. The owner emailed me back an hour later on a saturday evening with helpful tips and suggestions. She is really kind and understands we all work hard for our money. It is not often you will get the owner of any company to return your questions, but she really cares, and it is obvious she cares about your needs over making profit. I am a doctorate learner, almost finished, and as such I read people while. This company is one of a kind, and should be highly rated as such.

If your using one of the products and have a simple question like I did, email customer service on the sweetsation website. You will get an immediete response. I am not very girly, so I felt kind of silly with my question, but she did not make me feel such and helped greatly.

This is the best skincare line I have experienced. I am 35 and have started showing fine lines. And I didn't want to use 'chemicals' or other department brands as I have in the past anymore. I originally found Sweetsation Therapy for their safe and effective sunscreens (EWG), when I was pregnant with my daughter and wanted to use only very safe skincare products. I LOVE their sunscreens, and ordered a few different ones to try. They sent samples of other products with each of my orders, and I love free samples! Aqua*Tica was one of those samples I tried it the night I received it and was immediately hooked. Though I absolutely loved the scent of the Q*Lumiere instantly, I didn't swoon over the fragrance in this at first not that I disliked it, but I was sort of indifferent.

It only took me a few days of using this every night (and Q*Lumiere every day) to notice a real difference in my skin. I have really dry, VERY sensitive skin. So many products rich enough to offer ample hydration at night are greasy or thick feeling. And I often end up having dry or irritated patches from other products. Not with this. It is creamy and easily absorbed, and perfectly balances the moisture content in my skin, to make it smooth and soft. And I swear, it seems to minimize fine lines also. Piggy Paint NonToxic Three Polish Gift Sets

We love that this paint is safe to put on my children's body. I am quite particular about what I allow them to eat and put on their skin. So when my 4 year old wants to have manicures, I start the research. I found this paint and I am glad I did. She loves the colors, I love that I don't have to worry about what her skin is absorbing into her little system. The paints go on very easily, unfortunately they also come off very easily. She lasts a few hours without a scrape and a few days, if we are lucky, with the color on. Once we painted her nails and she took a bath a few hours later.
