I damaged my right wrist loading large (14" Lg x 12-24" Dia) log blocks into my pickup. Since I'd just purchased a new chainsaw, I didn't want to stop and I took a fly on this wrist brace. I've now done two loads of blocks with the brace and I'm amazed, no additional pain. I expect in a few weeks all the pain will be gone.

From now on, with or w/o pain, this brace will be on my wrist whenever I use the chainsaw.

I have relatively small wrist, yet I had to stretch the elastic a lot to engage the two primary Velcro tabs. This results in an almost tourniquet like feel on your wrist. I doubt a large boned man could comfortably wear this brace and I can't imagine wearing this for eight hours.

This brace works great, and I no longer have any sign of carpal tunnel. The brace fits very comfortably on either hand. I bought the product after I started having numbness in my left wrist. I slept wearing the brace for 2-3 weeks, and I have not had any more numbness since. Don't take chances with wrist problems as they can become worse if not treated.

I just got this wrist brace and IMMEDIATELY felt the result. I work at a computer all day and was beginning to feel symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. I own this very same model splint bought at a local store. There wasn't much choice when I went shopping for one. It was either this one found in a lot of places, or one that is much bigger and completely rigid. Unlike a lot of reviewers that were smart enough to get something for their wrists before it became really painful, I waited until the tingling and pain in my right hand was close to immobilizing it. When you have a serious carpal tunnel problem, no amount of rubbing, stretching, or pain medication will do any good. You have to get a splint style brace like this that both supports the wrist, and keeps it rigid as well. Thus allowing the irritated nerves to relax and recover. For me personally I can only say that this splint works almost like magic. The first day I got it I wore it on my daily walk, and for about an hour afterwords. Taking it off I was amazed at the amount of pain and discomfort that had just about disappeared completely. Wearing it is equivalent to having a sore muscle massaged for the amount of time that you have it on. The results for me has been well worth the price, and the small amount of inconvenience that it causes. Once I got used to it I could do my work on the computer, do chores with it, and even drive and use the manual floor shift on my truck without any problems. It really is very easy to get used too, and as far a being effective, I cannot imagine anything doing a better job. I wear it while relaxing or walking for about 2 hours or so a day and my wrist never hurts. One will get better results if you sleep with it, thus allowing the splint to really relax the nerve. But I found it uncomfortable in that respect since like many, I place my hand under my head while sleeping. The rigid metal splint that runs underneath your hand makes it a little hard for that.

Now the downside to this very effective brace/splint. Mueller doesn't bother to make a right or left hand model for some reason. There is only this universal design. That means that one thumb hole goes unused and sticks out while in use. Its a little annoying and unsightly as some other reviewers here have noted, and its "bowed" effect takes a little away from the splints effectiveness in my opinion. (You could obtain a little tighter and more uniform fit without it there). Its unfortunate they don't make a custom fit left or right model. Also, although this brace is advertised to fit wrists up to 9", my wrist is 8 1/2" and I can barely attach the velcro straps. The wrap around strap will make it around any wrist, but the connecting ones underneath have to be pulled very tight to make contact, and then only by a little. One disadvantage in this respect is the unused sharp, rough surface of the velcro is exposed against the top of your wrist, and can be quite irritating over time. A larger size of this model would be very much appreciated. Though I find this splint to be very effective on my carpal tunnel pain, I would not recommend it for wrists 8" or above, unless you are willing to just grin and bear the imperfections as I have done. It really is not all that bad, but you may feel differently. As for wrists that are small enough, with the exception of the universal design being a little bit of a pain, I believe you would be hard pressed to find a more effective splint. It has all but eliminated my carpal tunnel pain. For the average sized wrist, I highly recommend it...

I bought this carpal tunnel wrist brace because I was having problems with numbness and tingling in my left hand. The brace keeps your wrist in a neutral position, and it has done a great job getting rid of my symptoms. My doctor suggested in particular that I wear the brace at night, but I actually wear mine throughout the day, too. The doctor also advised that I not make the brace too tight, since that can put pressure on the nerves. The velcro on this brace is easily adjustable, so I can make it looser or tighter, as needed.

Respironics Tucker Sling Flannel Style, Fits Incubator Mattress

My little guy never slept for more than 2 hours at a time before the Tucker sling. He would reflux in his sleep and wake up screaming. It was a nightmare for the first 8 weeks of his life. I tried putting a wedge under his mattress to elevate him but he would just slide down. Then I found out about the Tucker sling and everything changed. I bought the wedge and sling from the actual tucker sling website. From the first time I put him in the sling at about 2 months old, he slept for 4 hours (which was a miracle). And every night after that, he slept longer and longer. when he was about 4 months old, we had to buy another sling in a larger size and I opted for the kind that slips over the crib mattress (I thought this would give him extra room) and I just put the wedge under the crib mattress to elevate it. Worked like a charm. Finally at about 5 months old, i was able to put him to sleep normally in his crib.

Note: the wedge also works in a pack n play so I always took it to my parents' house with no problem.

The only issue I ever had was when I had to put my baby back in the sling after nursing in the middle of the night. He would always fall asleep nursing and it was hard to get him back in the sling without waking him up. I would always have to adjust the velcro and it would make a loud sound. But there's really no solution to that and my baby would go right back to sleep anyways.

I'm expecting again now and I will definitely use the sling again with my new baby if he has reflux too.

We didn't get any extra sleep out of this product because we already had our reflux baby elevated. The difference was the sense of safety we got from this product. Before this we were using rolled up towels on either side of her to keep her in place but as she gained weight she slipped down to the bottom of the crib more often. The tucker sling obviously prevents that so I feel much safer!! A few notes:

1. Yes you can swaddle. I searched all over to figure that out before I bought it but didn't really find much info on that. We use the summer infant swaddlers but it would work with a square blanket too. We leave the swaddler in the crib under the harness thing. Then we put the baby on top of both of them, harness her in and then swaddle her. I wish I could swaddle her before putting her in the crib but we have managed to do some wind down as we put her in the crib.

2. Your baby is stuck to the matress! If you need to get you baby out of bed in the middle of the night you either have to unvelcro them (which is very loud and will wake them up more) or what we usually do is scoot her up to create slack and then slide the entire tucker sling and mattress cover off. It is a bit awkward so I don't do it often but it is much easier and less disturbing than unvelcroing.

3. I ordered through the companies website because the description for this on Amazon is confusing and their product support folks couldn't help me. If you notice the link in the search page says the product is for a crib mattress but then when you click on the details the product description says it is for an incubator. I didn't want to get the wrong product so I ordered from the tucker website. Also, this one is flannel and the one I got is quilted which will be much better in the hot summers.

4. I am really curious how this will work when babies start to roll. I think they will just get tangled in it and frustrated and then we will have to lower the mattress and hope that the reflux is better. My daughter is 3 months old and we have had it for about 2 months now. We'll see what happens over the next few months and I will try to update this review.

5. We do use it on a pack and play as well as the crib. It is obviously too big for the thin pack and play mattress but it still hooks on securly. It is a little too long so our daughter can touch the bottom of the pack and play and bangs her feet on it sometimes.

Overall this is a great product that I would highly recommend to anyone whose baby has reflux. Oh, and we didn't get the wedge we use pillows and blankets under the crib matress to prop it up.

I was recommended the wedge and sling for my son who had mild reflux and it was a life saver. Once he was up on the sling he was able to sleep better at night and became a happy baby. The wedge is light and props up the mattress wonderfully and the sling does its job to keep the baby from sliding down. Only issue I had with the sling is the top became stained from my son spitting up formula on it and it couldn't be removed. Also after 4 months of constant use it started to tear but my son was also at the max weight limit for his size so that could be part of the reason. I would purchase this again and it was well worth the money for me.

This item has been part of my everyday nighttime skincare routine for years. Triple Strength Melatonin 10 mg 60 Caps

I use this product for occasional sleeplessness. About 20 minutes after taking it, I get quite sleepy, and can instantly fall asleep. The effect lasts perhaps 2-4 hours. Thus, if you have trouble falling asleep (not staying asleep), this product will help. I found it much more effective than the .3 mg, 3 mg, and 5 mg tablets. Melatonin is a hormone that is produced naturally in our bodies by the pineal gland. It has many functions, but perhaps the main function is to regulate the body wake/sleep cycle, thus, its use as an occassional sleep aid.

Because this is a large dose of Melatonin, it is always best to consult with your MD before using. Melatonin can interact with other body systems and medications. For this reason, I downloaded a precaution sheet from the University of Maryland on melatonin. (see below):

Precautions:

Some people may have vivid dreams or nightmares when they take melatonin. Taking too much melatonin may disrupt circadian rhythms (your "body clock").

Melatonin can cause drowsiness if taken during the day. If you are drowsy the morning after taking melatonin, try taking a lower dose.

Additional side effects include stomach cramps, dizziness, headache, irritability, decreased libido, breast enlargement in men (called gynecomastia), and decreased sperm count.

Pregnant or nursing women should not take melatonin because it could interfere with fertility.

Some studies show that melatonin supplements worsened symptoms of depression. For this reason, people with depression should consult their doctor before using melatonin supplements.

Although many researchers believe that melatonin levels go down with age, newer evidence has brought this theory into question. People older than 65 should ask their doctor before taking melatonin supplements, so blood levels of this hormone can be monitored.

Possible Medication Interactions:

If you are being treated with any of the following medications, you should not use melatonin without first discussing it with your health care provider.

Antidepressant medications -In an animal study, melatonin supplements reduced the antidepressant effects of desipramine and fluoxetine (Prozac). More research is needed to know if the same thing would happen in people. In addition, fluoxetine (a member of a class of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs) can cause low levels of melatonin in people.

Antipsychotic medications -A common side effect of antipsychotic medications used to treat schizophrenia is a condition called tardive dyskinesia, which causes involuntary movements. In a study of 22 people with schizophrenia and tardive dyskinesia caused by antipsychotic medications, those who took melatonin supplements had fewer symptoms compared to those who did not take the supplements.

Benzodiazepines -The combination of melatonin and triazolam (Halcion) improved sleep quality in one study. In addition, a few reports have suggested that melatonin supplements may help people stop using long-term benzodiazepine therapy. (Benzodiazepines are habit-forming.)

Blood pressure medications -Melatonin may make blood pressure medications like methoxamine (Vasoxyl) and clonidine (Catopres) less effective. In addition, medications in a class called calcium channel blockers may lower melatonin levels. Calcium channel blockers include:

*Nifedipine (Procardia)

*Amlodipine (Norvasc)

*Verapamil (Calan, Isoptin)

*Diltiazem (Cardizem)

*Felodipine (Plendil)

*Nisoldipine (Sular)

*Bepridil (Vascor)

Beta-blockers -Use of beta-blockers may lower melatonin levels in the body. Beta-blockers include:

*Acebutolol (Sectral)

*Atenolol (Tenormin)

*Bisoprolol (Zebeta)

*Carteolol (Cartrol)

*Metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL)

*Nadolol (Corgard)

*Propranolol (Inderal)

Blood-thinning medications (anticoagulants) -Melatonin may increase the risk of bleeding from anticoagulant medications such as warfarin (Coumadin).

Interleukin-2 -In one study of 80 cancer patients, use of melatonin along with interleukin-2 led to more tumor regression and better survival rates than treatment with interleukin-2 alone.

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) -NSAIDs such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) may lower levels of melatonin in the blood.

Steroids and immunosuppressant medications -Melatonin may cause these medication to lose their effectiveness. Do not take melatonin with corticosteroids or other medications used to suppress the immune system.

Tamoxifen -Preliminary research suggests that the combination of tamoxifen (a chemotherapy drug) and melatonin may benefit some people with breast and other cancers. More research is needed to confirm these results.

I feel like I should be able to tell if this is helping or not as it's been a few weeks since I've been taking it. I'm taking it at the recommendation of a sleep therapist along with using a lightbox. If it's helping, it's not dramatic, though I've had slight improvement in my sleep. Since I started the light therapy and melatonin at the same time, it's hard to say what's made the slight improvement. I wish this was a magic bullet for me, but it's not. Neither are prescription sleeping pills, which I've tried and they didn't help at all. At least this is natural.

Dandelion Corn Teether Keys

The keys come in vibrant colors, which is great, and the fact that they're eco friendly and made from corn is great as well, but they look and feel just like plastic keys, which would be fine, except that hard plastic doesn't make for good teething material. My 5 month old son will hold onto them, try to put them in his mouth they're super hard, and don't fit, and he tosses them to the side. So, unfortunately, these keys have been useless to us (and a waste of money). I do wish more baby accessories/toys were eco-friendly. Just perhaps not hard-plastic'esque teethers. I would highly suggest that the manufacturers add something silicone or rubber based, or something of a similar feel, to enhance the teething aspect, and appeal more to babies.

These keys automatically get a star deducted b/c they are made in China. I deducted another star b/c they haven't held my 7 month old son's attention for long. There are other finger toys he enjoys better. On a positive note, they work well enough for car trips and are a nice bigger size than the cheaper plastic sets you can get in your local store. For $8 though, they should be made in a country that does not have cheap labor and a history of unsafe products and practices.

The quality is fine, as far as I can tell, but the form factor is atrocious. I don't have any trouble swallowing pills, and usually don't even bother to use water, but these are an unpleasant challenge. They're very large and have a rough dry surface. It takes a lot of effort to swallow them, and even washing them down with water, they *always* get stuck in my throat. I'm going to look for a brand that comes in capsules, even if they have a smaller dose. I'd rather take two or three capsules than one of these horse pills.

Source Naturals Inositol/Choline is a nice find because it combines two common agents used in cognitive enhancement. The drawback is that the form of choline used (i.e., choline bitartrate) does not have the highest bioavailability. In other words, it doesn't absorb well under normal conditions. The way around this is choline alfoscerate, or Alpha-GPC a similar precursor to acetycholine with higher bioavailability and the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier. It is significantly more expensive, but it works (and studies are available evidencing its benefits). If the price is too high, you can increase your intake of choline bitartrate, but I wouldn't do it with a combination supplement and I would definitely research the tolerance levels of doing such (choline bitartrate is relatively safe at normal doses, but I'm not a physician).

Also, do not expect to have dramatic improvements in cognition with just choline bitartrate and inositiol you will be disappointed. A real effort at doing such takes a battery of substances to accomplish, first and foremost would be a quality vitamin and mineral supplement with adequate daily water intake. Second, some form of physical activity on a routine basis (yes, exercise). Third, a diet that is a diet in other words, do not reduce your food consumption, alter your food consumption to healthier habits (in fact, a caloric increase might be necessary with cognitive enhancement).

But take note that many nootropics (cognitive enhancers) work synergistically; namely, they require the presence of other substances to actually work choline and inositol are synergistic, but other substances can be of great aid too. Aniracetum is a great choice to combine with these two mentioned, still, others can be added too; for example: phenylethylamine HCL, phosphatidyl-serine, acetyl-l-carnitine, acetyl-l-tyrosine, alpha lipoic acid, DHA, Ginseng, Ginkgo Biloba, dopa mucuna, etc. Cognitive enhancement regiments can deplete levels of standard minerals in the body this is one reason why a decent vitamin and mineral supplement is so important. Some of the listed nootropics can react negatively with antidepressants particularly those like MAOIs and to some extent SSRIs, SNRIs, &/or NRIs if you take any medication of this sort, consult a physician before you begin putting these substances into your body. In fact, even if you do not take those particular medications, a physician will be willing to listen and advise you according to your specific goals and your specific needs, even if it is cognitive enhancement.

As for the size of the pill in question, I have been supplementing for some time now with the aim at cognitive enhancement the size of this pill is not outside of the norm. Even basic calcium supplements are usually the same size, if not bigger. If you feel like this is a giant pill, take a look at a 1000mg supplement of l-Lysine hydrochloride & report back it has different benefits, but if you can acclimate yourself to taking that, these will go down absolutely without discomfort. But, if it truly is that difficult for you to get the pill down, you could try a pill splitter, but you will be left with rough edges on the pill discomfort could turn to irritation or pain; or you could grind it down with a mortar and pestle and mix it with food, but there is taste factor that will make it difficult to get down too. I've tried the powdered route mixed with shakes even with piracetam (extremely bitter) and it works, but you have to take the shake down in one effort, no sipping you will likely engage your gag reflex depending on how dilute you make the mixture. Simply put, the pill as manufactured is designed to go down with the least amount of discomfort. A last resort, if you simply cannot get the pill down, then just buy the two supplements independently don't force yourself on pressure of others to something that could result in harm to yourself.

For Source Natural's product, I like the combination it is sufficient in my regiment and saves me money; however, it appears many reviewers are dealing with serious illnesses I would study carefully what you can get from this and other supplements; many can help, but many can also have other unknown and/or unconsidered side-effects. I would personally get a physician's opinion, especially if you begin a regiment of supplements or if you want to alter the recommended dosages they will listen to your concerns; if they do not, then they are not true professionals and a reevaluation of which physician you see may be in order. I have two of these Walgreen brand forever cool mats. Overall the product is not too bad. I have one seat pad and one bed pad.

If you're in an enviroment where the heat isn't too overhwhelming,these pads will do you fine. If their left in a place that is pretty hot already though your going to be out of luck. To me that seems to defeat the purpose,but when it works man it does feel great.( if you have a basement throw them down their for the day the bring em up at night)

The cooling effect last upwards of about 45 minutes or so and it decreases as the time goes on. Lets say if you lay on your back for 15 minutes you'll begin to think, "well it quit working." But then lets say you rolled over on your stomach you'll know this is still working.

I bought the bed mat last summer for about 45 dollars,so I don't think the 80 dollar price tag is justified. It's not worth that much but if you can catch it for the 40 dollar range I say give it a shot if you got the spare money.

If you're like me and the AC don't crank upstairs like you wish it would,I suggest trying one of these out and going to Lowes and try out the feature comfort 16 inch high Velocity fan. Their so good you'll probably buy 2 or 3.

I have been a thoughtful dreamer for many years. When I was younger, I kept a dream journal and since then I have had fairly strong dream recall. I have been a experienced Lucid dreamer since the mid eighties. I found my own techniques that worked wonders, but with age I found it more, and more difficult to have successful LDs, and or OBEs till it went to zero experiences for a couple of years. Writing this report on the next morning after taking a pill. 1st day I got the dreaming supplements I was amazed by the results. This review will focus on the eBook the listing says you will get and the light pen some reviews mention. The bad news: I have no clue about a light pen. This would be used for writing a dream journal. I'm not going to complain about that.

When I got the shipment, I was expecting something that would tell me where to download the eBook. Nothing. I called Amazon and they were nice but knew nothing.

While I was on the phone with Amazon, I had the web site up in my browser on the contact page. I told Amazon I would contact the maker. I then noticed a grey graphic in the lower left corner of the contact page of two chain links. Hmmm. Links. The web site is eccentric and slow, and it did not allow the link target to appear in the bottom bar of my Firefox browser, but I tried it and it was a link to download the eBook! That's the good news.

Now, this is cryptic. It's about the most obscure link I have ever found. I mean, evah!

The eBook is good. It is written from what appears to be personal experience. There is further material on the web site that is different from the eBook. I don't know how original either are, but the eBook does come off as being authentic because it is experiential.

I just want people to know that they probably will not be getting a light pen. It appears to be use a chemical light and I don't know how long it would last anyway. I also want people to know where to find the eBook. God knows neither the product nor Amazon know and the maker's web site is set up so that it is very hard to find.

Now you know more than the nice folks at Amazon know, so rest assured that there is an eBook at this time.

I have been taking one pill before going to bed and I am keeping a journal after I wake up. I find that I am having more dreams and my memory of them is improving with practice. I have nights where I remember no dreams and nights when I remember three. I remember colors in the dreams, and conversations. Often, when I awaken in the night or in the morning, I am blank and then memory of a dream comes into focus. I have taken to naming the dream during the night as a mnemonic device to help recall the dream the next day.

After suffering many months with the pain of planter faciitis I bought this splint, and the Lumiscope Arch Easers. I have been using this product for almost 7 weeks. It does work. The pain has abated considerably. It's not entirely gone, but it's about 60-70% better at this point. Not difficult at all to use, and not uncomfortable it just takes some getting used to. The only complaint I have, is at this point, the velcro is not sticking as well as it should (I have cleaned all the fuzz out of the velcro, but it didn't help),and that makes it difficult to get it as snug as I need it at night. In the morning, I can tell if it wasn't snug enough, as the heel pain is more obvious when I step out of bed. But I would say this is well worth purchasing.

If you don't have boxes go to the store and buy some. It's a lot cheaper than wasting your money on this thing. If you want to make the bed firmer I would not get this. You would be better off going to Home Depot and getting a plywood plank.

Marpac Dohm-DS Dual Speed Sound Conditioner

I've had trouble sleeping because of background noise for years. I finally bought this because I live in a duplex and my neighbors are loud and erratic in behavior, arguing and moving furniture around at 3:00 am. I was afraid to even try to sleep at home after several days with little sleep and my roommate made me buy this because I was ready to move out.

This product is great. It makes a very fan-like sound, but with no mechanical or cycling sounds, or rattling. This is just a constant whoosh. It has two speeds and you can change the sound of the whoosh by changing the postition of the vent holes on the device. It has a switch right on the side of it, not on the cord so it's easy to use. It's even padded on the bottom to make sure it doesn't vibrate.

I used the low setting last night and slept through the night for the first time in the month since the crazy animals downstairs moved in.

I've been relying on ceiling fans and box fans for background noise for years, this is much better. It's a fuller sound, it covers more, and it doesn't make me cold.

As many others have said in previous reviews, this is unlike those pre-recorded white noise sounds. This cannot repeat, because it's actually making the sound as you hear it.

I travel for a living and stay in a lot of hotels. I look forward to taking this thing with me and blocking out the sounds of neighbor's TV's and talking and vehicles, etc. . . It's very small and lightweight, and seems durable.

I don't know why I didn't buy this sooner. Shooting my neighbors is the only thing that would help me sleep better, but this is legal so perhaps a better choice.

I think there is a contest in my neighborhood, that I'm unaware of. I suspect it's designed to find out which homes can produce the most noise. My neighbors are definitely in on it. They're probably in the top five! I surmise that when their dog isn't barking continuously on its own, they're standing in the yard yelling 'speak' and throwing meaty tidbits her way.

In addition, one child is always toting a boom-box, blaring rap, while the other is bouncing a basketball off the side of their house, sometimes for eight hours straight, often running onto my porch to impress me with his dribbling skills. I think the neighbor behind me is in the top five, too. He's taken up drums, and on the weekend he moves his stereo, complete with auditorium sized speakers and sub-woofer, onto his patio for my enjoyment. Ah, yes---this is the good life!

Okay, okay...maybe it is just me, and this is the normal hum of 'daylight living,' from which I've become so removed. I do a lot of 12 hour night shift work, and I can't expect the world to come to a screeching halt because I'd like a little sleep. But, something had to give!

Something did! My new Marpac 980 recently arrived and I couldn't be more satisfied. It is small (and portable), but solidly built, with cushioning on the bottom to prevent vibration, or furniture scaring. The instructions are clear regarding how to adjust the volume quality, with the top rim and collar. It also has a low and high setting switch. I set mine on the highest level...remember, my neighbors are in the top five.

For such a small machine, the sound really fills the room and there aren't any quirky artifacts, or rattles. The sound is consistent and pure. I quickly adjusted to this new, distraction from the madness, and found it quite comforting.

On the very first trial, a water main had broken close to my home. There were Public Service workers with their, noisy Bobcat, digging to China for hours. I could barely hear them. Ah, the sound of success.

If your neighborhood enters the contest, you might just want to consider one of these machines, too. Sleep deprivation is bad for both mental and physical health. Just ask me :-).

Update 11/19/10: My first Marpac unit is still going strong, and I have since ordered a second one. I think I'm addicted! I don't only use them to sleep with, now. I use one anytime I feel like blocking out the outside world---like when reading, studying, or searching for a Zen moment. These units still receive my highest recommendation. I will never be without them, until they are extracted from my cold, lifeless hands.

The first thing to note is that this manufacturer sells the identical product under two names, SleepMate and SoundScreen. The only difference is the name--having "SleepMate" on the label was deemed a bit awkward for office use. They're both exactly the same otherwise.

I bought this based on wildly favorable reviews online. I found no one who rated it anything less than "incredible." I am extremely sensitive to noise. If a bit of the neighbor's stereo noise bleeds into my home, I'm completely unable to tune it out. I can't read, and sometimes can't even watch TV comfortably. Unfortunately, I live in an area of dense apartments--where the weather is such that the windows have to stay open--and my husband snores. I sleep with earplugs, but the noise can still keep me awake.

In the past I have tried other noise machines that didn't work for me--things like "rainfall" cds or electronic noise machines with similar nature sounds. The problem was that they play a loop of sound, and you can hear a pattern as the loop replays. Once there's a pattern, there's something to pay attention to, and your mind does not tune it out well. This machine generates pure "white noise," which I hoped would be more helpful.

The product is the size and shape of a fat smoke detector. Two things surprised me when I first received it. First, it was quieter than I thought it would be--even the loudest setting seems quieter than a window air conditioner. Even still, my husband complained he wouldn't be able to sleep with "all that noise." (He got used to it within a day or two). It sounds something like a fan--a rush of air. Although you can adjust the volume and tone somewhat, the highest volume is also the highest pitch. Personally I wish it had a deeper tone.

The second surprise is the instructions say to place it *away* from you, so the sound can "fill the room." The ideal positioning pictured has it on a high dresser across from the foot of the bed. Unfortunately, my only option was to place it on the bedside table. I don't know if this really affected my results.

After using it for a while, I would say that it makes it a bit easier to tune out noises, but by no means covers them up. So, once I'm asleep (I still use earplugs), I can stay asleep. If I can manage to get my attention focused on a book the neighborhood noises probably won't break my concentration. But once I hear the noise I still can't tune it out. In fact, a couple times I have actually turned off the machine so that I could identify some sound--not knowing "what is that?" was actually bugging me more than when I could hear it clearly. But like I said, I'm a freak about noise.

This would be ideal for covering traffic sounds--it's just the right sort of noise and pitch. But if your problem is a neighbor's stereo, that mind-numbing bass is not going to sound much different with this than without. It really doesn't "cover up" sounds, but if you have a reasonable ability to tune things out (unlike myself) and just need a little help, you will probably be very happy with this. And it's definitely helpful for *staying* asleep, even for me.

It doesn't solve all my problems, but based on the reasonable price I'm satisfied with the value I got for my money.

Most of the products I've tried have prerecorded sounds (even for white noise!) that repeat in a obvious way -at least for someone who uses the device for the whole night. This machine actually seems to use a fan or something to generate the white noise, thus eliminating the need to reproduce the sound. It did seem to have a low whistling sound at the lower speed that was annoying (that wasn't there the first night but appeared subsequently soon thereafter). But the higher speed seems fairly good, if loud. I am definitely very satisfied, though. If you're looking for a white noise machine that will run through the night and produce good white noise to sleep by, this is the machine for you.

first of all this is a great idea on how to charge your mobile device. the thing i dont like is tht the clip is very easy to lose if your pulling the device its connected to out of your pocket, purse, ect. every five or ten minutes and sometimes it loses connection between its magnetic contact points and the magnet picks up everything magnetic. its a great buy if you already have the grid but dont be surprised if it all of a sudden disappears on you.

This product allows me to lay my phone on a charging bed. That is a lot easier than trying to insert the micro usb connector every day. In my wifes case, she has the samsung galaxy, the phone protection cover has to be trimmed away to make it work.

Frownies Corners Of Eyes And Mouth, 144 Patches

I was very leery of trying these. I did not believe it would work. I am 32 years old with laugh lines. After a month of using the Frownies, they are almost completely gone! I put them on before bed at night with just a touch of water. It is similar to sleeping with tape on your face. Not uncomfortable at all. I highly recommend Frownies. This is cheaper and less painful than botox! I am addicted.

I use this type of frownies to make a slightly wider piece for between the eyebrows and use the other kind to cut a long strip to fit above this piece to prevent the upper forehead wrinkles. It's obvious to me that this works. On the few nights that I don't use the piece between the eyebrows, four vertical wrinkles form from the skin being pushed together because I sleep with the front side of my head on the pillow. Obviously, these would get worse and worse if allowed to form regularly. When I use the Frownie sticker, these lines are usually not there at all or are very faint. I suspect that the critical reviews were from women with very deep creases who didn't start using Frownies soon enough. I also cut Frownies into a shape that fits the line from the corner of the mouth to the nose because I don't want to spend $500 for a syringe of injectable filler every year or two. I had this done once, then used Frownies on these spots and the deep creases never reformed. My plastic surgeon originally suggested I use four layers of paper tape as a cheaper route to prevent wrinkles, but the tape wasn't wide enough and Frownies are much easier to use. I wet them, apply, then push a terry towel against them to remove the extra water. I don't use water to remove them, and there is enough glue left on them to use at least one more time which means I get at least twice as much for the money. I'm sixty years old and had facial surgery, mostly because of baggy neck skin from a 120 pound weight loss. During the procedure, I also had the forehead skin pulled up a quarter of an inch, but nothing was done for the mouth to nose crease except the one injection later which was sustained with Frownie use. As mentioned with the brow lines, I can see the difference in the mouth lines if I fail to use the Frownies. My strongest recommendation is to start using Frownies when the wrinkles start to form instead of waiting until they are chasms. Also consider that they don't just improve wrinkles, they also prevent worsening. Now, if I can just keep the weight off!

I still can not believe that these things actually work. I tried them as a bit of a lark, thought what could it hurt? Have to say I was pleased with the initial results and have continue to be impressed.

Frownies are a kind of stiff craft-like paper with a natural gum adhesive on one side. They come in squares with perforated sections to tear off and use on the desired areas of the face. To apply the Frownies you simply massage the area of application for about 15 seconds, wet the backside of the Frownie patch with either toner mist or plain old water, gently lift the skin adjacent to the application area, to smooth the area, and apply the Frownie patch. Ideally the patch should be left on overnight, but if this is not possible you can still get good results with 2-3 hours of use.

The idea behind these things is that you retrain the facial muscles by temporarily freezing the area. (Much like Botox.) I also think that when you remove the patch, the area is slightly irritated and you get some temporary swelling, thus you see less wrinkling for a short period of time.

I have been using these things for about a month now and can absolutely say that they have helped. Especially in the area beside the mouth and nose. Hints I can offer are: Don't use the huge perforated sections of the square if you don't have to. Cut sections to fit your face and use. When applying to the area, leave a bit of room to the side of the nose they become extremely irritating when they harden up if the patch is brushing against the curved side of the nose. Remove these things in the shower if you can or at the very least thoroughly wet them.

One other issue of note some say that surgical tape is just as effective for use in this manner and is a good deal less expensive. Nexcare flexible clear tape has been reported to yield pretty much the same results. I have not tried the tape being happy with this product, but those looking for an even more affordable solution, might want to check it out.

I am 50 and frown lines around my mouth suddenly appeared a year ago and continued to get worse no matter what product (and I've tried alot) I tried. I have even started thinking Botox or cosmetic surgery, but can't afford it and don't really want to go that route. It is amazing how much these can smooth out the lines around my mouth. I also use it on the crease on my forehead between my eyes and it improves that alot too. The hardest part for me is to remember to put them on at night. Its also kind of embarassing to be caught with them on (my teenage daughter thought I looked hysterical) so I find I only put them on when everyone has already gone to bed. But it also helps even if you put them on for a half hour or so, so sometimes if I forget at night, I put it on in the morning while I get ready for work (I get up earlier than everyone else in my household typical mom, huh?). They are definitely affordable and certainly can't hurt. I wouldn't use them around my eyes since that skin is so delicate and when you take them off they pull a little. But I definitely recommend giving them a try!
