3 Inch Thick, 5 pound Density Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Pad Bed Topper Made in the USA

I just received my new memory foam. I have owned one before with great results, so when I needed one for my new king size bed the decision was easy. This price is great for a 3" 5lbs memory foam. I previously had a 3" 3lbs. My recommendation is get a minimum of 3" and a 4 or 5 lbs topper. This particular one turned out to be wonderful. My only other suggestions, and I knew because I have had one before, is to unpack it right on top of your bed; because it is shipped vacuumed sealed and compact. As soon as you break the bag seal it will start to grow on you and be hard to move/handle; already being on the bed solves that problem. The smell when unpacked was virtually nonexistent. I put fresh sheet on and went right to bed with no problem. Again, I have own others in the past and this particular memory topper is grade A, top quality. Immediate improvement in sleep and comfort (and help my aching back). If you have persistent back problems, this will help. Also there is a difference in the quality from a memory foam topper made in the USA vs a Chinese made topper. Again, best advice is USA made, minimum 3", and 4 or 5lbs minimum. This one is sold in the 3" and 4" so a great choice.

The product came a day early, as advertised. Let it air out in a well ventilated area for at least 8 hours, then throw it on the bed if the smell allows. It is a markedly different sleep experience. I had a Tempurpedic, and while this doesn't turn your regular mattress into one of those, it is as close as you can get. After doing my research, I decided on the 3" 5lb foam. Glad I did because I am sure that anything less would have left me wishing I had upgraded. I am 5'10, 185lb and it works fine for me. I recommend.

I sought a mattress topper to resurrect an older queen size mattress that was a bit too firm, had some depressions that formed pressure points, and tended to roll you a little towards the sides when sharing the mattress due to the firmer, seldom used center. My own impressions, coupled with what I read in several reviews, led me to seek a higher density foam, which I definitely feel is the right choice. I would go with at least a four pound density, due to the added support and longer life. I went with the three inch, five pound density, and it's been absolutely fantastic. I've had a thousand dollar, twelve inch thick, solid memory foam mattress before, and I can honestly say that my current mattress with this topper feels almost exactly the same. The lower back pain I would feel in the morning was relieved the first night we slept on it. We also toss and turn much less at night, and there's much less motion distribution as well. Some people have commented on the initial chemical smell of the foam, but I honestly didn't find it to be a very big deal at all. I used the topper the first night I got it, and while the smell was certainly noticeable, with a mattress pad and sheet covering it, it didn't bother me. Within four to five days, I didn't notice it at all. It 'airs out' pretty quickly. So overall, I would highly recommend this product, as it has made a world of difference on our mattress. Additionally, I found the Amazon site to be very 'user-friendly', and delivery of the product was prompt.

I've experienced lower back and hip pain since I was in my 20's. I replaced my beds several times with firm mattresses to pillow top mattresses over 20+ years. Nothing relieved the pain. Even on weekends I got up at 5:30 AM because of the pain. The mattress topper is soooo comfortable that I actually sleep in on the weekends and don't want to get up when the alarm goes off during the work week. Finally, a good night's sleep! I wish I did this 20 years ago! We have a motorhome with a traditional mattress and a 1 1/2 inch mattress topper I purchased from a camping site, but that topper doesn't compare to the 3 inch 5 pound memory foam topper. I'm now planning to replace the topper in the motorhome though I may replace the entire mattress with a 5.5 memory foam mattress from All Sleep.

I also have the 3 inch 4 pound memory foam topper from All Sleep that I purchased in January. That worked great, too. I wanted to see if there was a significant difference between the 4 pound and the 5 pound memory foam. There isn't a significant difference, but I like the 5 pound better for my lower back. My husband doesn't notice much difference, but then he doesn't have a back problem. My parents were visiting me recently and slept in the spare bedroom which now has the 3 inch 4 pound memory foam topper and they both love the topper. They are now going to purchase that one for their bed at home. If you're thinking about ordering a mattress topper, DON'T WAIT. You'll be glad you ordered it. If you're reading this, you probably already know about how crucial "density" is when considering a foam mattress pad. Frankly, I didn't know they used a density scale when I initially was looking to buy this; but after reading some other reviews, I found how important it is. My wife has a troublesome back, and while staying at a bed and breakfast for our anniversary, she was excited about how good her back felt after sleeping on the bed. I checked the mattress, and found a thick, heavy foam mattress pad on it. A little Google work, and I came to find this pad. It works extremely well and conforms to your body. I don't have back problems, but it feels much better than our 8 year old mattress does all by itself.

There is an odor upon removing the pad from its packaging, but if you let it air out for a few hours, it goes away. The odor really wasn't that noticeable until you put your face right up against it. So, I would suggest letting it sit out of the plastic for a few hours to let the smell dissipate before putting it on your bed. This was a non-issue in my mind.

And the added bonus: It's made in America. That may seem like a small thing, but with the questionable materials and quality coming out of some other big exporting countries, I was happy to see this.

After all the good reviews I was so excited to have moisturized hands again. My hands are DRY. Dry, itchy, cracked, sometimes bleeding. I needed a solution and I really had high hopes for this product. I was severely let down. These gloves were not intended to moisturize hands, they were obviously just soften them. I have mild insomnia and been taking a variety of sleep meds to help me out. I started off taking Ambien for a few years, but only when I really couldn't sleep. After a bit of searching, I finally found a natural sleep aid with a better mix of ingredients. Not only was melatonin 1mg (which I feel is the perfect amount), the capsules are also grouped with a few other well known relaxants. I spent quite a bit of time researching into these, and this is what I found:

Melatonin natural chemical produced in our brains that helps signal to sleep.

Valerian plant extract used mainly in Asia for insomnia related issues.

Chamomile another herbal extract from flowers that relaxes the central nervous system.

Passion Flower herb maily used for anxiety and over anxious minds.

Lemon Balm another herb used in Europe to combat stress.

Ashwagandha herb of India known to again fight stress and anxiety.

Hops mild sedative and calming properties.

GABA an amino acid to regulate sleep quality and improve your mood.

L-Theanine another amino acid shown to reduce mental and physical stress.

5-HTP simliar to Tryptophan (post-Thanksgiving turkey type sleep).

I don't know of another sleep aid as well rounded as this one. One of these ingredients are bound to work for you.

In most situations when I need to get sleep, one pill about an hour before bed is all I need to fall asleep fast. Occasionally I will open up a capsule and make hot tea out of it that I can sip on. I'm not sure if it reduces the effectiveness, but it's been good so far.

In addition to this sleep aid, I want to mention there were few environment changes I also made to improve my sleep quality:

1) No caffeine or alcoholic drinks a couple hours before bed. Night caps can cause you to wake up in the middle of the night.

2) No TV, cell phone, or other electronics before bed. I actually took all these items out of my room so I can completely relax.

3) Read any books that do not require a lot of thinking.

4) Room is completely dark with just a fan running to block out other noises. Fan also helps to keep the room at a good temperature.

5) Warm shower before bed to help me relax.

By nature I am an 'owl' and I tend to work late in the evenings. Unfortunately, these late-night work sessions have been affecting my sleep to the extent that the last few years I have been having difficulty falling asleep. It also affected my quality of sleep so that I would always feel blah in the morning. And if I wake up in the middle of the night, forget about falling back asleep, not happening. I tried some sleeping pills OTC meds just make me feel groggy; the prescription ones are not that much better.

I've been going through different sleep aids with these goals in mind:

1. I need to be able to fall asleep faster.

2. It has to be a natural sleep aid after a few runs with prescriptions, I am pretty wary of the side effects.

3. To improve my quality of sleep no waking up throughout.

4. Little to no grogginess in the morning.

This is what I've tied so far 'Happy Dreams' Sleep Formula, 'Sleep Right', Nighttime Sleep Aid, Chinese Herbs for Better Sleep, different mixtures of melatonin and a few more I don't recall off the top of my head. I even own an expensive Zeo Personal Sleep Coach. It does what it's suppose to do, I guess, but that was less than helpful for my purposes.

One thing I found that worked like a charm was phenebut but you have to cycle it you can take it only 4 days out of the week and then wait for 3 days otherwise it loses effectiveness.

This is my report on Insomnia Natural SLEEP Aid up to date:

I started feeling the effects in about 35 to 40 minutes after I took it on an empty stomach. It didn't make me drowsy. Instead, I noticed a little slowdown, it was like my thoughts were calming down slightly. I switched off the light and it took me perhaps 10 to 15 minutes to drift off. I managed to sleep through the night without waking up. Got almost 8 hours of sleep out of one pill. Next few nights were similar. I average at about 7.5 hours of sleep a night right now.

Looks like it's not about the quantity of ingredients, it's about the mixing up the right components for optimal result. I checked the supplement facts and among the usual suspects like valerian, gaba, chamomile extract and melatonine I've noticed a few new ones (at least to me), such as Hops extract and Ashwagandha. Perhaps this accounts for better results.

So, here's hoping that the good result would last. Maybe I'll cycle this with phenebut to make sure I don't get used to this particular mixture. If anything changes, I'll post an update.

One last thought to share with my fellow insomniac friends in this thread: Sleeping better is something that many people desperately need but we also need a more holistic approach to our problem, and don't just rely on prescriptions. Other reviewers already emphasized helpful environmental changes you can make to help you sleep better. In addition to a good, natural sleep aid, I would also advise practicing some sort of relaxation technique on a daily basis. Meditation, progressive relaxation or Autogenic training. All of these are easy to learn and take only a few minutes a day to practice. If you know how to relax your body and calm your mind the quality of your sleep will improve even more.

Caldera Releaf Neck Rest

I have a herniated c4/5 disk which has caused much discomfort with arm/hand numbness and neck pain while sleeping. I have tried several pillows and eventually found the best relief without a pillow. This little baby has caused me to enjoy pain free sleep since I received it.

Make sure you get the large if you have a neck size of like..15" or more (like most men). Another thing: The color bleeds like crazy so you can save lots of hassle by just washing the thing right away in hot water. I took it into the shower with me and in five minutes, had most of the excess dye removed. Funny, it didn't look any different at all.

Another thing remember to keep it a bit less than snug if you are going to lie down and sleep with it the neck veins naturally distend when you lie down and can end up feeling strangled. If you are like me, just having it on a little less than snug will keep you head in a good position all night.

Seems to wash well which is good...because I imagine if it wasn't washed periodically, it would end up smelling like a sock.

I bought it for sitting on the airplane. Much more compact than bringing a neck pillow, and MUCH easier to clean. Getting the cover on and off of my travel ring shaped pillow was a pain and for the ones that don't have a cover, once you spill or drool on it, it's garbage!

The one I received is black, which I'm actually happy about, but if you're expecting blue, just realize that you may or may not get it.

Support is halfway between "bare neck" and "neck brace". Maybe a little less than I would want, but I guess more than I can ask for in such a little package. Don't forget that it does insulate, so after while, your core temperature will increase. I find that to be beneficial because airplanes are always too cold anyway!

Nice for the intended use: travelling. Not sure about using it medically as I have no problems with my neck...yet! Definitely a nice companion in my carry on.

Sleep Right Secure Comfort Dental Guard

I am a night clencher, not a grinder, and after wasting good money on a boil-fixed, teeth-molded dental guard that was uncomfortable and hard, I invested in this guard of different design. What a major difference: it is comfortable; easy to get used to; of softer, cushioning plastic; and supportive of mouth relaxation during sleep. This item is the middle level of three products by this company and has the advantage over the first by having retaining wings to prevent slippage. If you are a grinder, I do not know how well the guard will stand up to the rubbing and friction (it is guaranteed for 3 months), but for clenchers, it is excellent.

The only problem with this product is that the bite pads fell apart after six months of use. One day they were fine. The next they both fell apart. Other than that this was a good solution for me. I have a persistent problem with teeth grinding. In the past I've used a sports mouth guard which worked alright but was difficult to clean and hard on my front teeth and mouth. I decided to try this product and have been satisfied. It leaves a nice gap between your teeth and stays in all night. It's very comfortable. The price for this product is very reasonable. The product was shipped and delivered promptly. The Splintek company makes a product called the Advanced that they say is more durable. If you go with this one (the Select) I recommend you buy two in case the first one wears out.

I have used night guards of all types for many years. I have paid $500 for the custom fit plastic guards from dentists to $20 for "The Doctor's" boil-to-fit guards (which I could never find a size that quite fit right and several times ruined them in the process of boiling and fitting). I really love the design of this product. I have tried many different night guards and this is definitely my favorite as far as comfort. The problem I had was exorbitant cost and durability.

I bought this in the first place because my dentist quoted me at $500 for an acrylic night guard. Presumably, the Sleep Right would be a better option, but for $40 each, they don't last long. I found that I ground through mine in about 30 days. I would actually give Sleep Right a glowing review if they let you buy the replacement grind pads for a reasonable price or if they gave you a few extra grind pads per pack...but since you have to buy the entire set with the main piece that holds the pads, carrying case, and packaging, this turns into a $500/year investment that is no longer worth it. Like I said, great design, but they are pricing themselves right past the more durable versions you can get specially fitted at the dentist.

Gaia Herbs Sound Sleep

I do find that they work quite well when I'm really 'excited' and can't sleep when I need to; however, I do notice a bit of "drowsiness" when I wake. I started taking this after developing a resistance to the sleep medication prescribed by my doctor. I had trouble falling asleep, and in particular I find that I have racing, obsessive thoughts just prior to sleep that, of course prevent me from actually nodding off. Taking one tablet about half an hour before bed with a glass of warm water or a cup of (herbal) tea, and then another tablet right at bedtime, ensured that I fell asleep quickly. I am sometimes a bit groggy in the morning, and I sometimes have very odd (vivid and slightly disturbing) dreams when I take it, but these problems are not significant or prevalent enough to make me stop using the supplement. The thing I really appreciate about the medication is that I found that after three weeks of taking it, I could reduce my dose to one tablet a night, followed by one every other night, and eventually I was able to stop taking it completely and still sleep well!

I take the supplement from time to time now if I'm having a hard time sleeping or if I've had a particularly stressful day that I know might interfere with my sleep. It works very well, and Gaia is a name I've come to trust with herbal supplements.

My only issue is that the sprayer doesn't really reach to the back of the throat unless you have it half way in your mouth. You end up having to spray it 5-6 times and then swallow to get it to coat properly. Once your throat is coated properly, it works great.

Well, first of all it gave me a sore throat before I started sleeping. It kind of felt like using chlorsceptic throat spray with the numbing feeling you get. I still snored with it. It just didn't work at all, period. Go get a special pillow that I reviewed if you want to sleep without snoring, this product isn't worth anything.

This worked for me in softening my skin. I have extremely sensitive skin and sometimes breakout in terrible bouts of eczema. This night balm does work really well. I wake up each time with glowing skin and no imperfections (redness, pores, etc). However, my 1 complaint is it's really greasy feeling on the skin. I love going to bed with soft, silky smooth skin. This makes my skin feel oily, which in turn makes me afraid to get it on my pillow. BUT, despite that, the results are worth it. When we received this chart my son and I were really excited to start using it. He would help me put the stars on every night and (not very often) the smiley faces. I had two major issues with this chart.

1. The stickers lose their adhesiveness after a few weeks. They do provide an extra set of stars and smiley faces. Maybe a static cling decal would have been a better option.

2. There are only 5 days on the chart. It's a small complaint, but it's easier to set a weekly reward if the chart were 7 days.

The actual goals were exactly what I was looking for but my son and I just discuss at bed time how he did the night before and have foregone the sticker portion.

I have chronic plantar faciitis and have tried two separate hard braces for sleeping. I am thrilled that I found this sock! I will say that it is not as comfortable as sleeping with nothing on my feet (but when I sleep with "free" feet, I pay for it the next day with pain). And it is SO much more comfortable than sleeping with a hard brace. The gentle tension on the toe of the sock is enough to keep my foot stretched, but I can still curl and wiggle my toes, walk around wearing this (not far, but it is possible) and I don't get any discomfort from having my ankle forced to keep a flexed position all night.

I've had these for about a month, and my longstanding achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis went away after 4 days. Once you find out how to wear these comfortably, they totally rock. The keys for me were: 1) not to tighten the calf straps too much, 2) to keep the calf straps at least an inch away from your knees so they don't pinch, and 3) to tighten the toe strap so your foot is at a right angle from my calves, not tighter. That way you can walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night without taking them off. The socks really only work if you can wear them all night. I won't go to sleep without them!

I suffered with plantar fasciitis for the better part of 2009-2010. It seemed to derive from a lot of running and a flat foot. I had to stop running and began searching for solution. Here are the products/medical solutions I have tried: Hard night brace, the 5-minute PF solution manual, the rolling calf stretch device, plantar strengthening block, heel lifts, super feet insoles, SOLE insoles, steroid injections, 2-3 different pairs of running shoes, and the Strassburg sock.

I am pain free today after being unable to even touch the bottom of my foot without searing pain because of the Strassburg sock. I received it in December and by mid February I had stopped wearing it at night. It is easier to sleep with on than the hard splint, easier to travel with, and I had immediate pain relief during the day from it. It took longer to get to full healing but I had tried the other solutions for equally long times and got no results. I was very close to having shockwave therapy done on my foot at a personal cost of $2500 since insurance doesn't cover. I can't believe how simple this solution was. I also have had good success with SOLE insoles and sandals, but I believe those were keeping me from pain, while the sock was healing me.

I bought one of these on the recommendation of a staff member at a local running store for my plantar fasciitis. Wearing this at night and wearing running shoes most other times (i.e., avoiding slip-on and other unsupportive shoes) really helped clear up the pain. It helped enough that I did not need to take a total break from running while waiting to heal. Well worth the cost, which I was initially skeptical about.

I've used it occasionally since, when experiencing Achilles pain and a mild return of plantar fasciitis. It's generally comfortable enough that I can wear it through the night, though it can get kind of hot in warmer temps.

I was convinced by the many positive reviews to give the sock a try. I have used two different hard splints as prescribed by my doctor -one hard plastic & a bit more uncomfortable than most, the other padded & fabric covered but the straps don't stay tight overnight. They are so uncomfortable to sleep in, I thought the sock would be much more tolerable and it seemed like a great idea. But it was just a good idea that doesn't really carry through in the implementation. The Velcro strap does not pull my foot up to a 90 degree angle, all it does is bend my toes up..which gets annoying & constricting. I would wind up wiggling my big toe back away from the tab so it wouldn't get irritated. I was thoroughly disappointed to find that I had pain upon arising -that does not happen in the hard splints that force your foot into the 90 degree angle. I do have big feet (women's size 10.5-11) so I am thinking that maybe that is why the sock doesn't really hold my foot in a flexed state overnight, which is required to prevent the plantar fascia from tightening. Maybe if you have a smaller foot, the strap will actually bend the foot not just the toes. A waste of $$ for me.
