This immobilizer works fine once you get it on, but it is bulky, difficult to adjust, and difficult to put on out of the box. The elastic type of immobilizer is better because you can usually get it on yourself and its ten times more comfortable. Presumably, you are looking at this as an upgrade from the one they gave you at the hospital and I am telling you this is a purchase you will most likely regret. It has the proper design elements to immobilize your shoulder better than a standard arm sling, but those elements are so poorly put together that you are better off without it.

I am currently wearing this product as I am writing this review. It is made in the USA, which is a plus, in my opinion. It is very lightweight but it does the job, well enough. It is padded and covered with what feels like fleece and is held together with velcro straps. I found it easy to put on and take off, however, I found the shoulder strap to be less than useless so I keep it wrapped around my waist and clipped to the hand rest instead of over my shoulder. The waistband works well enough by itself to hold my arm close to my body. I have found it useful to also use the velcro tape that holds on the hand rest to further keep the waistband from coming apart. The waistband has a tendency to stretch a bit and ride up, but it is very easy to readjust. I bought this product to use after having a SLAP repair done on my left shoulder (labrum tear). The cheap large synthetic brace given to me at the hospital had caused a severe heat rash all along my forearm, so I was looking for a brace that would leave this area exposed while providing the necessary support.The problems with this product:
1) Ridiculously complicated and impossible to put on:
Forget ever being able to put this on all by yourself. Even with another person it is damn near impossible. The picture on amazon.com does not show the complex set straps, hooks, loops, etc. that run across your back in every direction to keep this contraption on you. Most are unreachable. However, even if they were, the complexity of the entire set up definitely makes it a two man operation.
2) Very little support:
I thought the manufacturer had figured out a way to immobilize the shoulder while eliminating the necessity of an arm/elbow sleeve portion to the sling. Turns out they didn't, but just went ahead and removed that part anyway. The bicep and wrist are held down while the elbow is free to swing away from your body with the slightest movement. Granted it's a very limited movement, but this jostling is really bad if you're recovering from shoulder surgery. It puts pressure on the shoulder joint in a similar way that an Kimora (aka Americana aka figure four) armlock would. This might not make sense to people who don't wrestle but it's the only way i can find to describe it.
3) Impossible to put on over clothes:
There's a reason why the guy in the amazon product picture is wearing a skintight spandex compression shirt under his brace. The series of straps, hooks, etc. running across your body while wearing this brace make it impossible to put on over any sort of regular clothing. Even a standard t-shirt will bunch up in certain areas while being stretched in others under the pressure and movement of this brace. Think about it the primary mechanism for stabilizing the bicep is a loop around your entire torso. Good luck getting this loop not to slide around over a t-shirt while allowing enough give to maintain for normal breathing.
4) Ridiculous Looking:
I thought I didn't care how I looked while recovering from surgery. This brace taught me that there are limits. There are so many straps and parts to this thing (most are visible from behind). The complexity of this contraption gives the appearance that there is something much wronger with you than just your shoulder (think full upper body neurological issues). I don't know how to describe it. A mouth operated wheelchair would turn less heads.
I have no positives to report. For individuals dealing with a heat rash, I would recommend that you alternate with a mesh sleeve style brace and use something like gold bond medicated powder. If you insist on using the heavier surgical sling you get after surgery, put a towel or something inside it. This brace is not a realistic option.

Two weeks ago I had a level 3 AC separation, and although I have very little pain, my doc recommended that I keep the weight off of my shoulder especially when walking around. I tried two different traditional slings, but they would always creep toward my neck and cause horrendous upper back pain. Plus, I felt really cramped like I was wearing a half straight-jacket.This new sling is amazing! The waist belt keeps the shoulder strap away from my neck, so the pressure is like a normal backpack strap. Plus almost everything (see below) is really padded and pretty comfy. I'd say it's equally difficult to get this on as a traditional sling. I also love that I can slip my hand in the cuff when I'm walking around, and then easily slip it out when need to sign a receipt, I sit down, etc.
However, I doubt any sling is perfect, and here are the minor problems I've had with this one:
I'm 5'6'' and the shoulder strap was too long to keep my arm raised high enough. However, I was able to fix this with safety pins
After wearing this for a long time, my wrist gets a little uncomfortable. However, this is nothing compared to the back pain I had from traditional slings.
The clips that attach the shoulder straps are not padded, and sometimes poke my back a little if I wear this while sitting in a chair.
I don't really see the point of the arm band (maybe it is better for a different type of injury), and I prefer to keep my arm elevated slightly above my waist, so the arm band isn't really at the right place for me. Instead, I just velcro that part down to the waist belt and it stays out of the way.
I got this about two weeks after my injury so I'm starting to move my arm a little. A traditional sling might have been better at completely immobilizing my arm, especially since the arm band doesn't work for me.

After pinching a nerve in my neck, the doctor told me to get some sort of cervical collar to keep my neck as still as possible. These fit the bill nicely for a firm, but soft collar. A cervical collar can only be so comfortable, so I would rate these very comfortable given the nature of the beast.They were a little short for me, but I turned them upside down so the chin divot faced down and that helped.
I really liked the price compared to other options and having two as I kept one at work and one at home.

Trying to figure out what kind of tape I needed for taping a toe down was crazy. The adhesive on the tape I had gotten at the local drug store was making my toe raw and making the skin break down. So, to Amazon I went. I bought Transpore, Durapore, and Micropore tape. I figure, it's tape I will definitely use it. Not only am I accident prone, my son has inherited that particular trait. Transpore tape is the lovely clear tape that is perforated both horizontally and vertically so it is very easy to tear. My skin has had no reaction to the adhesive and the sticking is power is fairly good, so long as the area is free of moisture and well dried. Durapore tape is the cloth tape that is more silken than your typical athletic tape. Again, my skin has had no reaction to the adhesive. I do tend to find that the sticking power is much better, but you also get the residual gummy tape goo left over more so than the others. Also, while it is fairly easy to tear, it does get cankerous sometimes. Micropore tape is the paper tape. I cannot really give you a review on that, as I haven't used it yet. All of them I got in the 1/2" width. It is a good width for solely using tape on fingers and toes and small places. Or taping bandages down, NOT sealing them.

I think they should not put any titles on the tabs so that you can choose what all of the files are for (currently you can write the tab titles for half of them). Basic Comfort Handy's Plus Pad
I absolutely LOVE the Handy's Plus Pad. I purchased 5 of the full-size pads for my son over a year and a half ago and I think they are GREAT. My 4-year old has slept in a full-size bed since he turned 2. These pads really work (no leaks!), are comfortable and wash-up well. I only have 2 complaints ... 1. the side-flaps aren't quite long enough to fully tuck under if you have a pillow-top mattress (although you can make it work if one side of the bed is against the wall and you pull the opposite side really tight) AND 2. the top and bottom of the pad tend to "curl up" after several washings. Despite these complaints, I have not been able to find a pad that is even near the quality and comfort of this one. The reason that I own 5 of these is that, if you truly want "full" coverage on the bed for a child that rolls all over while sleeping, you need to use 2 with some slight overlap (so, 2 to use and 2 for back-up). I also use one (full-size) on the Spinmaster Flip-Open Sofa to keep spills and accidents from staining the sofa. The full-size fully covers the full-length of the sofa. I think this is a "must have" product for parents of toddlers that don't want to be constantly changing bed sheets or trying to "wash" a children's sofa that really isn't meant to be washed.(fyi ... If you like Basic Comfort's Ultimate Crib Sheet, then you'll also like their Handy's Plus Pad. The Handy's Plus Pad is basically the Ultimate Crib Sheet with side flaps and without the snaps. I bought the Handy's Plus Pad because, while our son has been potty trained for nearly a year, he sleeps so soundly that he doesn't wake up all the time to go pee at night, and I've had it with changing the bed sheets everyother night! This pad is a great item, it's soft on the top so my son doesnt mind sleeping on it and it really works keeping the sheets dry. My son sleeps all over the place and it's plenty wide enough to give the coverage we need. And it's never leaked through. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that it's tough to tuck the far side in when you have the bed up against the wall like we do. This product is great if you have a child that still wets at night. The overnight diapers don't always contain everything and I would be washing sheets and mattress pads several times per week. With this cover (I purchased 2) we just change the waterproof pad and then I wash both when both are soiled. It cuts way down on the laundry!One suggestion, the picture for the twin size pad is likely of the pad on a crib mattress. Pay attention to the measurements that are provided. It is not that large on a regular twin size mattress. I actually purchased 2 of the full size, which in my opinion was the perfect size for my son's twin size mattress, and only a few $ more.

I am not happy with this product at all. It is much too small. Of the 4 times my daughter has peed the bed with this on, three times she's "missed". Also, I ended up having to put in under the fitted sheet because it got bunched up so much when she was sleeping. I started adding 3 mg of Melatonin (10 Grams), which is the working ingredient in these drinks and as a result I've only needed to drink a third of the bottle which really makes a difference. Now a twelve pack lasts me well over a month which makes using these drinks on a long term basis much more realistic. I hope my review helps someone else too.
MY SLEEP SITUATION:
I have the issue of being relatively tired in the evening and then getting a "second wind" around 10, which causes me to want complete tasks when I should be sleeping or winding down for bed. If I'm not watching the clock I can be up till 2 A.M. doing random around the house or reading articles. When I do sleep I also have nights where I wake up multiple times to shift around on my bed, which is disruptive to my sleep cycle. To address this, I have tried a variety of sleep shots, drinks, supplements, and teas. Many of them are not strong enough, do not keep me asleep the duration of the night, make it extremely difficult to wake up in the morning, or make me feel like a zombie when I am awake.
TASTE (10/10):
Now I will begin to tell you about this refreshing sleep drink. This lightly carbonated liquid is easy to drink (I consider it "chuggable") with a soft flavor that reminds me of strawberries and tangerines. The taste does slightly linger in the mouth for a bit, but it's a pleasant taste either way.
PERFORMANCE (10/10):
For this drink to work, I have to cooperate as well and hop into bed with the lights out. If I don't do this, the drink doesn't reach its potential. The first effect is a relaxed feeling within 10 minutes of consumption. About 15-25 minutes after drinking 1/3 to 1/2 of the bottle, my eyes to start getting very heavy. At this point I can be watching an interesting show and nothing can keep me from passing out. It feels great when I am falling asleep from this, like a well deserved rest. I do not wake up in the middle of the night after drinking NeuroSleep and feel like I get more out of my sleep. I also do not feel overly tired waking up as long as I have 7 hours or more to sleep. I have drank NeuroSleep many times but never get to the second half of my drink because I fall asleep, so I actually get 2-3 uses out of a bottle. I'd imagine the effects are stronger when you drink the entire bottle before bed.
COST (7/10):
I pay 2.39 for a 1 serving, 14.5 oz bottle. Even if it was 1.99 I'd feel a lot better about the price, but that is just a personal opinion. The price does not keep me from purchasing the product 1-2 times a week and I am able to split one serving.
Overall, this is a great sleep aid drink which I'd recommend to people who have trouble falling or staying asleep and want to stay away from prescription sleep aids.

This product actually works!! I don't leave reviews for anything, but Neuro Sleep earned one. I work shift work so it is very hard for me to get a set sleep schedule and that has affected things at home, I feel I'm always tired. I have had this three times, gotten a full eight hours each time when I needed it. They are cheaper at the store, though. Neuro's site has a map that will show you where to get them near you. My depression had been bad much worse than I realized, in fact. I was silently suicidal (with plans intact) and could not snap out of it. Lumiday is great! The people over the phone are really nice. I never would have tried it if it wasn't for the free 15 day trial featured on their website.The first week that I got it, I wasn't taking 2 capsules a day like it recommended so I didn't notice anything. I remembered reading that after the 15 days of starting the free trial they would automatically start billing me so I called to cancel it because I wasn't seeing any results. The person that I talked to didn't want me to cancel so she sent me another 15 day free trial just to see if it would work after following the directions properly.
Once I started taking two pills a day I really noticed a difference. I was a full-time student on academic probation who was working part time and also had a substantial amount of credit card debt, so my life was full of stress. Though that's still kind of expensive, it's definitely manageable.
They probably set the prices high knowing that they can make extra money from that, while also realizing that they can still make a profit if they lower the price to $34.99 for those who fed up with overpaying, as its the first thing they bring up when you call to cancel your order.

I have a low tolerance to meds. I use 1/2 tab if needed for stress release during the day. One at night to help with a good night sleep when needed. Effect seemed slightly longer lasting than Kava Yogi tea. Don't expect much if this is the only herbal supplement you take. It works well with things like St Johns wort, valerian root and siberian ginseng (Tension Tamer Tea). I found out after I received this GHD Ceramic Heat styler that it is counterfeit. I called GHD, and they told me what to look for in order to tell whether it was a counterfeit. This one is definitely counterfeit since the plug is a simple two-prong one. The genuine GHD has a reset/test switch on the plug that looks like the one that is on a hairdryer. They also told me that there should be no hologram on the label on the cord. This one did have a hologram on the cord label.I needed it for a trip, so I was very disappointed. The GHD Ceramic heat styler that I bought was shipped from Amazon, but was sold by EBeautyElectronics.

After a week of nail-biting anticipation, my ghd IV styler arrived ahead of schedule today to my complete delight. I tore it out of the box only to be deflated when I realized that it was a 2 prong outlet with no hologram on either the inside of the unit or on the power cord. After all the time I spent researching online and thinking that Amazon.com was an approved retailer, I was duped and wanted to throttle Amazon for selling counterfeits. I did NOT buy through the marketplace, but from Amazon directly, since I thought it would surely be selling the real thing. WRONG! I called up the ghd North America hotline and spoke with a representative, who confirmed that mine was a fake and Amazon.com is not authorized in the US. I had seen Amazon on an approved list of stockists on the ghd UK website, which it is....in the UK only(amazon.co.uk). Some reviewers have reported that theirs have been successfully registered by ghd, which is why I think that both real and fake stylers are mixed together in the shipments. Too bad that mine turned out to be one of the fake ones. As a product (however counterfeit it is), I would still rate the iron as a 4 or 5--it does straighten as well as others have reported. Because it is NOT the product I expected to receive and there is no warranty because I can't register it, I give this review an overall 1.BOTTOM LINE: Buy at your own risk--if you want to take a chance of getting a real one shipped to you, that's your call. Personally, if you don't care whether or not you have a real ghd or not, you can find a cheaper one ($70-80) on other sites---no use paying double for something that's just as fake! I'm returning mine and buying a cheaper iron (not ghd) elsewhere. Hope this helps!

I have frizzy, curly hair and this is what it took to tame it. The grocery store $40 straightener I had before made my hair feel like straw and took 30 minutes (going over and over the same area) to work. The $240 I paid for this was totally worth it. My hair doesn't curl back midday and feels silky soft.I'd recommend buying the styler in a store though. I went to Sephora, and the salespeople gave me all sorts of samples of ghd hair products to try, and tips.
