MIGHT BE OK FOR SOME, BUT FOR ME IT DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. NOW I NEED TO COME UP WITH MORE WORDS TO TELL YOU IT DIDN'T WORK.This nasal anti-snore product did little or nothing for my snoring, my snoring still chased my wife to the couch. The throat spray that I tried after this actually worked and wife could sleep and not be chased from the room.I'm adding this product to the long list of products I've tried to control or "quiet" both my wife's and my snoring. As with the long list, it doe not help. It is difficult to get a good nights sleep with all the noise. I guess the only "cure" is surgery.Y-Snore Anti-Snoring Nose Spray
Elasto Gel Hot / Cold Sinus Mask
One thing of note though as previous reviewers also note, is that it only stays cold for about 20-30 minutes. Thats not even long enough for excedrin to kick in before taking it off. Since it has gel in the center, I think it turns into an insulator of the heat that your head has, and becomes warm after the cold wears off. It leaves you feeling kind of oozy if you forget to take it off quick enough. So does that mean that you should stand clear from this? NO NO NO. I love it, but you should just buy 2 to begin with. When one is getting near to losing its coldness, swap it for the one in the freezer. I put a blue ice bag on top and below the bag in the freezer so it gets colder faster.
I've had it for about a month now, and I've used it probably 30 times, sometimes I just put it on if I'm feeling a little warm, or feeling like it could be a stressful day. I just put it over my forehead if I'm working. I have this software called Pzizz (google it) it helps take quick naps and sleep better. The two products combined are great together.
Ok, for people looking for head relief, pick two of these up (can't stress it enough). One of the other tricks I just figured out, Take one of the blue ice bags out of the freezer at the same time. When the gel mask has hit the end of its cooling, the blue ice will be a little melted from being out of the freezer. Put the blue ice in a sock. I used to use face cloths but they can't 'hold' something, and they are too thick. So the sock holds the ice pack and is thin enough that you really feel the cooling of it. Put the gel mask in the freezer and wait until the ice pack melts completely, then go get the gel mask again and it should be cold enough (obviously at this point put the ice pack back in too)
I hope my large review is helpful in making your decision to buy this wonderful product.Purchased for hubby who has severe allergies that affect his eyes. He keeps them in the freezer & switches when they lose the coldness. He says they are wonderful for soothing his eyes when itching or when they become extremely painful. Probably could use another one just in case!

I really had a bad sinus infection and needed relief. This product looked appealing since I own their "shoulder ice pack" and love it. The sinus mask fits confortably and conforms to your face nicely. It is puncture proof and easily adjustable. My only complaint is that it only last about 15 minutes. I feel this is due to the fact that it is not as "thick" as say their back or shoulder products. It makes bedtime and after work so much more relaxing. If you need a cheap form of relief from either headaches or sinus troubles by all means pick one up.Read Best Reviews of Elasto Gel Hot / Cold Sinus Mask Here
I've found that in the absence or even instead of pain meds, one thing counteracts a migraine: brain freeze. I have been known to rinse my hair in icy water, down smoothies or frozen coffee, hold home made ice packs to my head--you name it. This a more convenient alternative for when I'm at home. I just wear this mask over my forehead.I love the soft, almost silky material surrounding the cold gel--much more soothing than the hard edged plastic on my last gel mask. I disagree that this mask does not get cold enough or stay cold long enough. Sometimes the shock of how cold it is at first hurts to the point that I have to take breaks and place it over my hair. And you should be using it after it's been in the freezer two hours minimum. Now the human body is a hundred degrees; so yes, the thing's gonna cool off. Just flip it over. I've found that the print side is the cooler side, so I place that side next to my skin first. And as everyone else has figured out, I'm going to purchase a second one. Actually, just a single use has killed my migraines each time so far, but I'd like to keep the compress on it to ensure the headache stays dead, lol.
In case you're wondering, the mask size is adjustable, and the gel remains soft in the freezer. I think I'll be purchasing the neck compress, as well.
Five stars!

I suffer from optic neuritis (due to MS), migraines and sinus issues. I have lots of reason to love a product like this. I was using the Cervical Collar by Elasto-Gel over my eyes and forehead for headaches and such and was so pleased to find this version of the Elasto-Gel. The products are great ... meaning they are very comfortable and well constructed.I use them for their cooling not for heat. The unit can be heated in a microwave or conventional oven or placed in the freezer. Super versatile and when used for cooling, it is not cold enough to cause ice burn / frostbite and merely is extra cool. Super soothing. The cooling factor lasts for about 20 minutes. I can switch off between both of mine but may consider buying another mask in the future.
Great for hot flashes too :)

Marpac TSC 330 Travel Sound Conditioner
The Marsona white noise generator is different. First, the speaker is really quite good. Nice base quality, and it really fills the room with sound in a non-directional way (I can't tell exactly where it's coming from). Second, the eletronics actually synthesize the rain/surf sound dynamically, as opposed to using a recording. This means no obvious loop point, and each wave sounds slightly different enough to prevent distraction. I couldn't believe I was spending more than $50 for a white noise generator when you can buy boxes that make dozens of different sounds for far less. However, how many sounds do you need other than the one that makes you fall asleep (and stay asleep)? This box produces 1 sound, with a pitch control and a treble/bass control (calling it rain, waterfall, surf--all depends on these controls), and it works tremendously. I cannot recommend it enough. I imagine their larger units must even be better, but for travel, this is great. It might sound crazy to shell out $70 for a machine that's only purpose is to emulate a softly whooshing vacuum cleaner. But once you get one of these you'll never want to sleep without it again!
I used to run a HEPA air filter in my bedroom all night (hey, I figure I might as well breathe clean air for 1/3 of my life, right?) Eventually you get so used to the sound of a running fan that you need it every time you sleep. Besides, my apartment bedroom faced the parking lot, so there was always a lot of noise from people driving in and out and slamming car doors, etc. I'm a very light sleeper, so the HEPA filter helped me get to sleep by masking those sounds.
Whenever I'd travel I'd always turn the room fan on "high" before hitting the sack. In hotels where I couldn't manually turn on the fan, I'd toss and turn all night, distracted by the sound of silence (as contradictory as that sounds).
When I moved in with my wife, her bedroom was too small for my HEPA air filter. So I found the Marsona TSC-330 on Amazon and decided it was worth a try (and a lot less expensive than buying HEPA filters). All I can say is, WOW, I wish I'd bought one of these years ago! The bedroom in our house faces the street, so again I have to deal with traffic noises and cars going by at all hours. The Marsona masks those sounds and enables us to get to sleep and stay asleep.
My wife and I now take this little gizmo with us everywhere we go when we know we'll be staying overnight. We even bought the optional battery pack, in case we go camping or are staying somewhere without an outlet.
My wife calls it the "sleep machine", and when my mother told me that my dad was having trouble sleeping, I told her about the Marsona. She bought one, and now they use it every night too!
PROS
No moving parts to break (sounds are created digitally).
Imitates various sounds like "rain", "waterfall", and "surf". Really though, all you're doing is changing the pitch (high or low), volume (loud or soft) and whether or not the sound comes and goes (which mimics ocean surf).
Really helps you get to sleep (and stay asleep)!
Also helps babies and dogs sleep.
CONS
Might take some people a few weeks until their brain gets accustomed to the sound. But it's well worth the wait!
The controls are on the bottom, which is not convenient but also not too big of a deal because you generally just set it the way you want it and leave it that way every night.
On/Off switch is located in the back, rather than on the top where it would be more easily accessible.
The battery pack is a separate unit, and somewhat bulky. They should modify the device to run off of a 9-volt battery or something. We almost never have a need for the battery pack, though, so it's a minor point.
Calling this a "travel" device is a bit of a stretch, IMHO. It's about the size of a thick paperback novel (think John Grisham). It also has one of those bulky AC adapters with the power brick on the end. It fits fine in a standard suitcase, but if you're REALLY traveling light (like with only a small overnight bag) then it does take up a bit more room than you'll probably like.

I was torn between buying the Marsona TSC-330 or the Marpac 980 Sound Screen. I wound up buying both so I could decide for myself. Both are a big step up from the other looping recorded track systems out there. The TSC-330 has a fairly natural sound but not quite as nice as the real fan sound of the Marpac 980 (the 980 uses a real fan to make the noise).Bottom line: If you don't need this for travel I would go with the Marpac 980 for it's more natural sound and lower price. If you are looking for a travel unit and don't mind paying a slight premium, the Marsona TSC-330 sound is good enough and less bulky to throw in a suitcase.

My shopping criteria were:1) A simple white noise machine to mask tinnitus and extraneous noises (snoring dogs, fighting cats, etc)
2) Decent sound quality, without annoying repetitions/transitions
3) Compact, unobtrusive, and convenient
I purchased the Marsona TSC-330 because lower priced machines seem to have problems with sound quality. In addition, many claim an array of special sound effects which are often reported to be ineffective, and which violate the KISS principle. Simple is good.
I am satisfied with the sonic output of the Marsona, and use it every night. It does the job. However, it is not without its annoyances, and in today's electronics marketplace, it is outrageously overpriced for its functionality (for example, consider that you can buy a DVD player with a full-function remote for half this price).
The on/off switch is extremely flimsy and stiff. It is a three-position sliding switch, with the off position in the center. Sliding it to one extreme turns on the constant white noise, and at the other extreme, it activates the variable white noise (a crude wave sound). The switch is recessed into a tight nook located at the bottom rear of the unit, the least accessible location imaginable (unless they placed it inside the cabinet, requiring a screwdriver to access). It is sometimes necessary to pick the unit up and turn it around to operate the switch, which has a tendency to overshoot the central "off" position no matter how carefully it is maneuvered. A real nuisance for the most-used control.
The two remaining controls, volume and tone, are sliders located under the side wings of the unit. I set them once and don't mess with them, but again, their location and orientation are poor you need to flip the unit upside down to see which is which.
I am rating the product 3 stars, though 2.5 is more realistic. To earn 5 stars, especially in view of its price, the Marsona should:
1) Mount the controls in an accessible location.
2) Use a decent quality power switch.
3) Provide a simple on/off remote control. Instructions recommend that the unit be placed on the opposite side of the room for maximum effectiveness. A bedside remote would be helpful.
4) Enable battery power so that the unit is truly travel-friendly.
I am confident that these improvements could be made while preserving the manufacturer's high profit margin, and would result in a product that not only helped me sleep better at home or on the road but also made me feel that some thought went into its (usability) design.

Well I don't think you give a feather about my family situation and all that garbage people bore you with...so, the bottom line:Pros: It does not produce annoying recorded repetition of sound (known as a loop). It makes a very pleasing, constant "whoooshhhhhhhh" sound. You cannot hear any repetitive cuts, like you do with 95% or the cheaper noise makers. It sounds like waterfall or heavy distant rain. You can adjust the tone and the volume.
It is small enough to pack in suitcase, even a small overnight suitcse. It is pretty light. It feels sturdy. Not like a toy, but like a solid piece of serious workmanship.
For all the people who say these kind of noise makers "just aren't loud enough" for your sleeping baby. Either get rid of your baby or buy the friging ocean! You can't have EVERYTHING!
And for all you penny pinchers, the reason it cost alot is because the people who make it ARE SERIOUS and decided to make something of quality that WORKS LIKE YOU'D WANT IT TO WORK. They did not cut corners and hope to fool you with unrealistic advertising b.s. Go buy some rinky dink 25 dollar gizmo and complain about it later if you want. Or buy this one and be happy!
I've gone through alot of noise makers. The only one better is the Marpac 980, because it uses real wind like a fan, but it's too big and heavy for travel.
Stick with me kid, you'll go far.

I wear a size 6 or 6 1/2 and this "small" size splint hits the ball and toes of my foot instead of the arch as stated in the description. If I had a larger, longer foot it would fit correctly. And also be warned the company charges a 15% restocking fee to return! But "customer service is their #1 priority"!! So now I get to pay to ship it back ($6.95) and will loose the original shipping cost ($6.95) and the 15% restocking fee ($6.38). I'm only saying this night splint is okay for a couple of reasons. The straps seem to slide down my leg during the night which loosens the fit of the splint. Therefore my foot is able to lean more forward hence not helping with my heel pain. If I tighten the straps very tight to where they don't slip, then the top of the splint hurts the top of my foot. It is not easy to walk in this splint. It has only helped my heel pain slightly in the 4 months I've had it. I just bought another style splint to try at night.Want Active Ankle Dns Dorsal Night Splint Small (men 5-10 Women 5-9 1/2) Discount?
I have been using this for over a month now and I have to say I am quite pleased. I saw other reviews that gave this a low rating due to the quality of the item, but I guess it all depends on what your level of expectation is. I personally do not expect to get a high-grade medical device that will last me years when I am paying less than $30 for it. It does have some flaws but nothing that is flimsy or down-right horrible.Outside It is made of hard plastic type material. It is very sturdy so it can hold your foot in the correct position. There are no rough edges and the plastic is molded well. The plastic part that goes around your foot is actually open on the bottom, it wraps around your foot on either side with one side overlapping the other on the bottom of your foot. This is so you can adjust it to fit correctly on your foot.
Inside There is a fabric liner inside that has a bit (tiny bit) of padding in it so you do have a decent amount of comfort between you and the plastic. There is a small slit that goes up/down in the cushion right at the place where the foot and leg meet. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be there or not, there are no finished seams on it. In an case, it has not caused any problems and the fabric hasn't unraveled or anything. There is also a fabric liner on the inside of the part that goes around your foot. It is comfortable and well crafted. I have had no problems with anything rubbing me anywhere and the fabric areas cover all the hard plastic parts so your skin does not come in contact with it anywhere.
Straps There are 3 Velcro straps that wrap around, two on the leg and one on the foot. There is also a separate Velcro piece that you can attach to the bottom of the foot after you have it on. This is a non-skid type pad made of rubber with little bumps on it. The straps are all very soft and comfortable. They do not rub or irritate in any way. There were some comments about how the straps are glued onto the brace. This is somewhat true, it appears to me to be a semi-permanent adhesive of some sort. There is a pretty wide area of it that attached to the brace and I did find that on one end it does sometimes come up a little, but it does not come off all the way and the straps have never come off or unattached unless I took them off. All you have to do is press it back down. I have actually found this semi-permanent adhesive to be a bonus, as I can reposition the top strap at a different angle to make it fit better. It also allows you to turn the straps so they can wrap around the opposite direction based on which leg you have it on and whether you are left or right handed. Example, I wear this on my right leg but am left handed. It was cumbersome to cross my arms over the other side and bring the strap around while still holding the brace in position, so I took them off and turned them around so they wrapped around the other way. Much easier.
Fit It will take you several tries to get the right fit for you and to make sure it is comfortable when you sleep. Don't get discouraged. Make sure you get the foot part set tight enough so your foot doesn't relax forward too much. If you make it too tight your foot will start to feel like it is going to sleep. Once you get it set, you can put on the non-skid pad and you should not have to adjust this part again. Your should be able to just undo the leg straps and slide your foot right out. The leg strap just above the ankle should also be tight but not tight enough to affect circulation. The only one that I've had a lot of problem with is the leg strap at the top. I get it tight, but because your calf muscle is typically larger in this area you will end up with the top part of this strap being tight and the bottom part of the strap being a little loose. I repositioned the angle of the strap where it attaches to the brace so it is a little askew and this has helped tremendously.
I found the best way to get a tight fit overall is sit down and cross your leg (like a guy with your ankle resting on the knee of the opposite leg). Slip the brace over your foot and grab the leg part and pull it up as far as you can so the bottom of your foot is pressed firmly against the bottom of the brace. Then bend your foot up/back towards your leg and press the leg part into your leg very firmly. Wrap the ankle strap around it. Then do the same for the upper strap. You may have to strap it in somewhat crooked to get it tight but if you don't get it to fit right it may loosen up while you are asleep and cause your foot to be in the wrong position.
It did take about a week to get used to sleeping in this, but I think the same could be said for any brace. I don't hardly notice it now and have even worn it while just relaxing on the couch to make sure my foot gets stretched out. I think it is very comfortable and I have no pain in the morning when I get up because of this brace. I tried one of the other big clunky boot looking braces and sent it back. It was too big and cumbersome and made my foot numb. And you can't walk in those either.
They don't recommend that you walk in this brace, but once you get it on a night you don't really want to take it off. I have walked in it and it is surprising comfortable.
I am so pleased with this brace I am going to order a second one for my other foot. I highly recommend this brace and hope you will not be deterred by some of the negative comments.
.After visiting a podiatrist, I have VERY painful heel spurs in the back of my heel, not the bottom of the heel (plantar fasciitis), causing a lot of pain to walk. The Dr. prescribed this night splint for me. I paid LITERALLY over $200 for it : I have worn it every night, for over 7 months, and it has prevented me from having foot surgery. I need to have the surgery, but I need to save up for the expense. My pain was so sharp, especially in the morning. This night splint is made to only be worn at night, and it keeps your foot "neutral" during sleep. It only took a couple of days to get used to wearing this at night, and I can tell the difference it makes for me. If I'm not wearing it to bed, then I get pain the next day. I'm so used to wearing it now that if I forget to put it on in bed, I immediately remember.
This splint will work for a left or right foot; however, my podiatrist wanted to make sure that I wear it properly. I wear it on my left foot, and the right bottom "flap" is closest to the bottom of my foot, and the left bottom "flap" is the part that touches the floor. If you were to wear this on your right foot, then the left bottom flap would be closest to your right foot and the right bottom flap would be touching the floor.
The only problem I had with it, which is why I bought a new one a couple of days ago for $40!!! was because the velcro kept snagging to my PJ's and the fuzz is making it harder to keep the guard in place, and then it would loosen in the night. This new guard is EXACTLY what I had before from the Dr. office! Hope this guard helps you.

Below are my exps with all these products. Hope they can help you make the decision.
Mouth piece:
Pro: very effective
Con: sore jaw and teeth, and dry mouth after one night's sleep. It's not comfortable so you will probably find it on your bed or floor the next morning.
Nose strip:
Pro: it stays there on your nose all night; lots of sizes
Con: does not help much because it cannot lift nasal passage that much from outside; most of the time you keep snoring; hard to peel off your nose without enough water; skin gets irritated.
Brez:
Pro: stays inside your nose all night long for most of the time; opens your passage wider than strips do; 3 sizes.
Con: very low quality plastic rubber and cut that can easily hurt your nose. Must change after several uses because the link will definitely break up.
Snorepin:
Pro: Opens passage and almost eliminates snoring. Very good quality plastic that feels much better in the nose; Better design for air circulation.
Con: sometimes may fall off during sleep; a little bit too intruding the first time you insert it, but you will get used to it; 1 size only; White and transparent, may be hard to find if you lost it. I was pleasantly amazed at how fast my order from Germany arrived. It was exactly as described and I am very happy. I am even happier that it really works! I had a broken nose years ago, and one side of my nose doesn't allow much air when I lay on my side, but this product solved my problem and is so comfortable to use. I had been using another product, but I had to continue replacing often which got expensive and it wasn't as comfortable. This item works great and is very sturdy, yet very comfortable. It is also washable, which I really like. I am so happy with my first order that I have just re-ordered 2 more sets from the same company, I am going to share with my dad and a friend who snore loudly. I am so thankful that I found this product on Amazon and I highly recommend the product and the company.

Mabis/DMI healthcare Elevating Leg Rests, Blue
For Neuropathy This product forces me to lie on my back, while keeping my legs apart, without having anything between my legs in order to do it.
For Spasticity This product keeps my knees bent in the perfect position, thereby preventing 90% to 95% of the spasms my legs experience when they're straight.
It does both of these things with continued comfort and support, and zero awkwardness. Being bedridden for the most part has been much more bearable as a result.
Therefore, I highly recommend anyone who suffers from Spasticity and Neuropathy due to advanced Multiple Sclerosis to ditch their lumpy, uneven pillows, and go with this product instead. You won't regret it.Supports your legs and keeps your back aligned. Makes it easier to sleep on your back especially if you normally don't tend to sleep that way (like me).

I just got this today and I have already used it. I'm a relatively tall man with about a 31 inch inseam. All I can say is that this leg rest does exactly what I want it to do--it really takes the pressure off my back when I lay down. I love the extra width. It's a perfect size. It's nice and firm also which is good. I recommend this. No complaints. I have a twin bed, and this covers the width of the bed without going over the edges at all. There's maybe an inch or two to spare on each side. Definitely get this one for the extra width. Any less width and my legs would fall over the sides, but this is perfect.Read Best Reviews of Mabis/DMI healthcare Elevating Leg Rests, Blue Here
I bought this hoping that it would relieve the hip pain I was experiencing when sleeping in my bed. I'm naturally a side sleeper and the pain was so bad it would wake me up. Honestly I've been sleeping in my recliner for months to avoid the pain.I finally thought about why I didn't have pain in the recliner and I came up with:
1. Sitting partially up
2. Knees are bent ever so slightly
3. Sleeping on back instead of side
I thought about how I could recreate this in my bed so I bought this to keep my knees bent, I bought a bedrest (from Amazon) to keep me partially sitting up. (Pillow behind my head) and when I tried them out last night I found I did not turn over on my side and I had a great nights sleep!
No more recliner for me!

We are pretty happy with this purchase. My main complaint is that the product is not 10" high like they claim (more like 7.5" high)...even though I called to clarify this with the company prior to purchase. I was hoping that it would expand a little once I took it out of the plastic wrapping but it did NOT. The width is great. Will continue to use it since it is nonrefundable.Gaia Herbs Valerian Root, 60-capsule Bottle
Comparing with "Formula 303", I would recommend this Gaia brand. The 303 worked good but it wasn't until we ran out and had to get something in a pinch where this capsule (easier to swallow) did much better job. At first it was strong enough my wife wanted to just go back on 303 but just using one, she's able to sleep through the better.
Of course everyone responds differently with any herbs and supplements but it's usually smart to just start out with a low dosage and don't go over the recommended amount. Even I only take one capsule when I need to really relax my muscles if I had a long day or worked out hard.Let me start by saying I am not questioning the efficacy of this herb on those who gave this a positive review, nor am I suggesting that their experience is simply a matter of placebo effect. I assume that when it comes to herbal remedies, the effects are subtle enough that people's experience differ greatly. That said, these did nothing for me. Nada. Even ramped up to three and there was no noticeable effect. As I said, this is just one man's experience, but these reviews aren't useful if only people with positive experiences write them, so I wanted to add my experience to the mix of reviews so that people can have realistic expectations about the probability of this working for them.

I have used it naked (otherwise I can't feel the spikes) and up to an hour at a time, though I began gradually.
At first it feels extremely painful. though I suspect this appplies only to us unhealthy people who are already suffering from this and that and have intense need of stimulation of the various points. (My 12-year old granddaughter when trying out a Shakti cushion claimed she felt no pain when using it while other members of the family adults felt it to be extremely uncomfortable.) However after about ten minutes, generally, the pain subsides and one can hardly feel it. In my case, however, when using the mat on the buttocks, firstly, it was more painful than usual, and secondly, the pain at first did not subside, though it does now slightly, though only after a long time.
When exposing only the back area to the mat, after about ten minutes I generally feel a wonderful, extremely comfortable inner heat spread throughout the area, similar to leaning on a hot water bottle, but as stated a deep inner warmth. The feeling is almost orgasmic it feels like the exposed cells are feeling ecstatic, and extremely satisfied. This is a wonderful feeling in fact I'm becoming addicted to use of this mat!
I suffer from MS and several other auto-immune diseases. I had had most of my left buttock numb for several years. After about three applications of the mat on my back (not buttocks) suddenly my left buttock felt normal. This was fantastic. Also when being scanned with something called Meta therapy (a treatment used in Russia and other East European countries for about 20 years in their hospitals something I get done regularly in Denmark where I live but not administered by doctors!), it could be seen that my heart and circulation were extremely improved, apparently functioning perfectly. The therapist found it amazing and told me to use the mat twice a day from then on. However, I don't generally do that.I use it when I can, and when I feel like it. But the improvement that occurred did so after only a handful of "treatments".
Sometimes I feel extremely relaxed after using the mat, though I don't always notice this effect.
I'm not saying this mat is a miracle worker, but it definitely has an extremely beneficial effect, and I feel that users should try it out on various parts of the body. I feel that the more health problems one has, the greater will be the benefit. But even if you do not suffer from severe health problems, use of the mat will surely have an immense preventive effect.
I recommend it highly. Who knows what its use could lead to in the way of dramatic health improvement?I've only had the mat for a few weeks, but I am using it regularly and found it to really help with relaxation. It does take some getting used to, and still sometimes can be too sharp for me depending on how I lie on it (more intense when on side; more diffused on back). That said, I've fallen asleep on it a couple of times and found it's helped with back and hip pain, too. If you are interested in alternative methods for pain relief or stress reduction, then I'd recommend it. However, it's not like just getting a blissful massage-it's definitely more like drinking a tea that helps you relax but still has a bitter taste.

My neighbor suggested my husband and I try this mat since I have a problem with sleep deprevation and him stress, lack of energy. This mat is simply amazing. After the initial shocks of pain subside, your body goes through a wave of flushing warm heat. It instantly relaxes you. It normally takes me 45 minutes to 1 hour to fall asleep. The second time using the mat I remember laying on it and looking at the clock setting myself mentally for 10 minutes, the last time I looked, I had fallen asleep for over an hour! I since then have recommended it to everyone I know.It really is a wonderful product. I use it regularly, with relaxing music, and always feel invigorated afterward. I also take it with me while traveling. 10-15 minutes on my Shakti mat is so restorative! And as far as it being faddish, I understand what the other reviewer is trying to convey...but if you're into maintaining your health or improving it, I recommend it. I've had mine for nearly a year and my husband and I both use it regularly--mostly on our backs, but sometimes on our feet (after lots of sightseeing!). And I can't say that the Shakti is the main reason for my health or well being, but it feels great and I feel wonderful after using it. Highly recommended. My boyfriend bought this for my anxiety and lower back pain....it hurts at first, but only for a few minutes. Then you feel warm and then you...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I have yet to use this thing without falling asleep. It's great for relaxation. I highly recommend it--might really work for insomniacs!Sominex Nighttime Sleep-Aid Tablets, Original Formula, 32-Count Packages (Pack of 6)
If you just need a cheap sleeping aid, there are generic diphenhydramine products available for sleep. Be aware that every medication has side effects, and so does diphenhydramine. Diphenhydramine often causes bladder/urintary tract discomfort in men with prostatitis. Do not take this product if you have prostatitis, as it will increase your pain.
Jim "Konedog" KoenigI purchase the Sominex brand because I'm a vegetarian and most of the other brands contain some form of animal-derived ingredients, as most OTC medications do (stearic acid, gelatin, shellac, etc.). I have taken other diphenhydramine products in the past and the strange thing is, some worked and some didn't. I talked to a pharmacist about it and he said even if they have the same active ingredient and the same amount it could be attributed to the inactive ingredients. Anyway, this works just fine. At least when I wake up in the middle of the night I have a much easier time falling back to sleep. Maybe I should try the extra strength...
I'm adding a notation to my above review: I just found out that magnesium stearate is not a vegetarian ingredient either. It's manufactured from both animal and vegetable oils. However, I haven't contacted the company. It can actually be derived from just vegetable sources, but I doubt it since it's not listed as such. :-( Still learning. (FYI, Magnesium stearate is a major component of "bathtub rings" also known as soap scum. Lovely).

I bought the 6 packs of this product after I had bought a single box from the store. This product works great for me mainly because I only take 1 pill from the double pack. I sleep anywhere from 5 & 1/2 to 7 hours. I always before woke up several times during the night and had a hard time getting back to sleep. If I wake up during the night now I can get back to sleep easier with this pill. I do wake up a little groogy but I drink my large cup of coffee and am wide awake for the rest of the day.I took 2 pills as directions say, fell asleep quick, woke up twice during the night feeling out of it, had many weird and disturbing dreams, went back to bed, got up for work had to call in sick because I was so drugged I could barely move. I slept for 13 hours and got up at 3 pm. Still feeling out of it. I cant even go out to the store to get some things because I look drugged and my balance is off. This is going straight to the garbage. I also have to miss my aerobics class today as well. Looks like I'll be in bed all day till this wears up and probably be up all night.

Herbs Etc - Deep Sleep Professional Strength - 4 oz. Contains California Poppy
UPDATE 1/27/13: This is no longer available from Amazon Prime. The price is still better than the per oz. price at the health food store and the seller offers free shipping. Herbs Etc charges about $6.50 more for a single bottle.I had been going through a particularly stressful few months-loss of a loved one, financial stress, etc, and out of desperation asked my Psychiatrist for a small Valium prescription. It did the trick (instantly relieved my stress and insomnia), but after finishing the 10 day prescription, I knew that I should not continue taking the drug. The reasons were many-fears of addiction (one more problem I don't need in my life), a definite rebound affect (I became highly emotional after stopping-crying uncontrollably all day long), and memory problems. I decided to seek out herbal remedies instead-I tried Kava, Valarian root alone, some homeopathic stuff (which did nothing), and then found Deep Sleep at my local pharmacy. The first night I took it I overslept though my alarm clock for three hours! I decided after that to only take it on the weekends, and now I take a lower than recommended dose (20 drops) every night before bed, and it works amazingly well-I haven't slept through my alarm since that first night. I dont think its a remedy for acute anxiety (like Valium or similar drugs are) but it has undoubtedly enabled me to sleep though the night and as a result has taken the edge off my anxiety. Long story short, this is a truly effective remedy that I highly recommend to anyone who needs help falling and staying asleep, and wants to steer clear of physically addictive sedatives and sleeping pills.

I rarely write reviews on here but I just had to for this product it's amazing. It's a great non-addictive substitute for RX such as Xanax if you use those for sleeping or anxiety relief. It's also a great mood lifter if you have problems with mild depression or anger or irritability. If feeling hyperactive, this will calm you right down about 2 or 3 droppers full is all it takes.Optimized Saffron with Satiereal
I would not be able to comment on the mood stabilizing effects this supplements offers as after the first week I began taking phenibut powder, 5-HTP Powder 10 Grams + FREE Primaforce Phenibut Powder 100 Grams which I've been taking since the second week. I was told it is also helps with appetite control although I use it to help with my mood swings (helps me keep my emotions in balance) and it also helps me sleep better. Works surprisingly well for me. I'm sleeping better, eating less, and feeling just plain happier. If you're looking for natural solutions to elevating your mood and controlling the appetite, I highly recommend these supplements. After about 11 days of taking this, I noticed for the first time in my life I was able to resist sugar (candy bars, chocolate, ice cream, etc.) I really cannot believe this is possible. I was always the person who would wait till no one was looking and take 20 or 30 mini candy bars out of the candy dish or the one who would cut off half the cake, not just a piece, when everyone left the room. In the past few days I have watched as people around me were unable to resist candy or cookies. My wicked co-worker keeps filling the candy dish being fully aware of my "problem" but now she can't hurt me anymore. I love this stuff and I'll say it one more time: I really can't believe it!!! If you have a sugar addiction, you have got to get this stuff!
I would like to say one more thing: Supplements like this are fantastic and the fact that we can currently buy them in this country is fantastic. An effort is underway to take away our ability to buy supplements like this. For instance, some groups like the World Health Organization are proposing that we should have to get a prescription to buy more than, say, 25 mg. of Vitamin C. The pharmaceutical industry is behind this push and they have the ears of our senators and congressmen. Please be aware of this and write your senators and congressmen to let them know how strongly you oppose the unnecessary regulation of vitamins and dietary supplements. New bills are being introduced all the time and we need to stop them to protect our health.

My therapist recommended these for sleep and anxiety issues. After about 2 weeks of taking them I was feeling much more relaxed and comfortable in my own skin. I was sleeping like I haven't in years. I usually have to use a noise machine and put a pillow over my head as I am such a light sleeper and sensitive to sound and light stimulation. After 3+ weeks I noticed that I simply forgot to turn on the white noise a few nights and have slowly stopped using a pillow over my head. Though I grab it when my husband rises at 5am and stomps around. Even so, I feel less angry and more calm when I hear him stirring. Two thumbs up and a major props to Amazon for a phenomenal price. It's $7-10 less than other online sources.Read Best Reviews of Optimized Saffron with Satiereal Here
About 6 months ago I started Medifast to lose weight. The foods filled me up and tasted good, but I was still struggling with urges and desires to eat other, more forbidden foods. After reading on the life extension website lef.org about the benefits of their optimized saffron supplement I checked amazon's reviews and received more positive feedback. So I tried it. I am currently on my third bottle of the saffron. I take it as recommended, 1 pill in the morning, 1 pill at bedtime. The first bottle I took 1 pill each morning, and it helped, but not as much. I love this stuff! I found the prices here on Amazon to be the best, better even than life extension's member pricing.
I am someone who struggles with a strong urge to eat sweets, aka a sweet tooth. Even though the foods on medifast are filling, and many of them are sweet, like shakes and bars. I still found my mind wanting and expecting more, but taking the saffron 2x a day has stopped all my cravings. I am able to stay on my eating plan and to date have lost about 60 pounds. I credit this supplement as being my will power in a bottle!I have been diabetic(type 1) for 38 yrs and have never been able to maintain much control because of eating disorders. My Doc recommended this product to help control the disorders and I am astounded by the overall improvement in my blood sugars(last A1C was 6.5). They are lower and steadier than ever in my adult life. Plus, buying here is $10 cheaper a bottle than life ext.'s page. I will definitely be buying repeatedly.
Designs For Health - Melatonin 3mg 60 tablets
I use Melatonin for acid reflux and also to sleep. I take one tablet at night about 30 minutes before going to sleep. It helps me to sleep and I have sleep problems plus a husband that constantly snores. It also settles my reflux so I can sleep. These will not knock me out... but what one pill 20 minutes before bedtime does is give me a fantastic night's sleep, every night. Without them, I'm like 7/10 on good night's sleeps. I am yet to not sleep like a baby when i take one however, and it has been a couple weeks. No side effects either. Love 'em!

Happi Tummi Natural Colic Relief Waistband
1) Happi Tummi (only heat it for 20 sec)
2) Hyland's Colic Tablets (very cheap and work WONDERS!)
3) Mylicon drops
4) Gripe Water
5) Fisher-Price Baby Wellness "No More Crying" CD (odd--but it worked!)
Bless your heart if you are dealing with colic right now. It will be over soon and all will be MUCH better!I think this is a pretty good product. Its definitely worth a try with a gassy baby. We are using Dr. Browns bottles, Hylands colic tablets and this band to help with our son's gas pains. The combination is helping most of the time. I just need to make a comment about the NICU nurse and mother of 4 who said that this product gave her baby a second degree burn, this wouldn't have happened if you placed the product over the baby's onesie or sleeper. The picture on the box demonstrates how to put it on. I am also a former NICU nurse. Common sense helps a lot to prevent these things. This is probably why we need warning labels on almost every product! Use common sense and you will probably find this product fairly helpful!

We bought this because our 4 week old son cried all the time due to gas and stomach pain. Although it doesn't cure the problem, it makes our son much more able to handle the pain. He still cries, but for a shorter amount of time and it helps him fall asleep. We have been using it for about 3 weeks and are very pleased with the results. Just a tip, only microwave for 15 seconds. This is plenty of time to make it warm enough for our son.Read Best Reviews of Happi Tummi Natural Colic Relief Waistband Here
Our little girl has the worst gas pains, but this waistband didn't help at all. I was also worried at how hot it got (following the instructions), so we wouldn't heat it for as long as it said. For gas, I recommend Hyland's Colic Tablets over anything else (and we've tried everything-having 2 gassy, gassy babies!). They instantly soothe her stomach so she can sleep, and they're a natural, homeopathic remedy. With a combination of this, colic calm & switching his formula to Similac sensitive my son is a new baby!!! I really like this product but make sure not to overheat or it will burn a little and smell bad... The only thing i dont like about the heating pouch is it only lasts for so long (at least the aramotherapy does)Revolutionary, Patented, NAP STAR Deluxe Transformer - Sound Muffling Sleep Mask Travel/Meditation P
Rereading the one review that was available at the time I ordered,it leads me to wonder if that review was a plant by the company it was so far off the mark.
I have, as we all have, bought things that have not measured up to our expectations, but this thing is utterly useless with regard to sound. It did appear, however, that the mask would block out light effectively.
Bottom line: save your money and don't buy this product.
Update on 12-27-2012 I was contacted by the company and had a nice conversation on the use and capabilities of the product. The product is comfortable to wear, and it is effective in light control. Sound deadening is a problem which is why I bought the product in the first place. The company offered to exchange the Nap Star for their DreamHelmut which is proported to have better sound control. Based on their excellent customer service I am raising the company to 3 stars. I will report on the DreanHelmut when I get it.Being a frequent traveler, I need to take naps on planes and I am so happy to have found the Nap Star. It's a very comfortable & lightweight Sleep Mask which features a high tech design and soft material that's easy on the skin. I take this mask on all my travels. I highly recommend it to those who want to have a quick or long naps.
The careful design & quality of the Nap Star tells me that the designers care about their product and their customers. I am grateful and highly recommend this amazing mask. The Nap-Star is an amazing mutlifunction design of a Sleep Mask / Sound Muffling and Portable Pillow. It's the 2nd generation of the original DreamHelmet which I still have and use it at home.
The NapStar is a smaller version of the DreamHelmet and easily fit in a carry on luggage for use on a flight. It helps me get that much needed nap when travelling on a busnisess trip. The cost of the NapStar is $19.95 which is very affordable.
However, if your initial impression is you don't like wearing a mask, don't despair as it takes a couple of nights to get used to it and have the benefits of a good night's sleep. Just play around with the adjustments to get the right confortable fit.
Overall, it is superior to the generic masks I used in the past and now I don't travel without my NapStar. Thanks to the designer of this great product!
